Went on Valentines Day w/my wife for a late lunch(3pm) and was not overly impressed. The restaurant is quaint and charming but they were out of several menu items so my wife did not get an entrée. We ordered 2 desserts to go to enjoy at home. The dessert crêpe was actually topped with some whipped cream that had gone sour(Yuck) and the«Valentines Day» raspberry tart was nothing special. Love supporting a local small business so may try again when not a holiday.

We fell in love with this restaurant the moment we walked in. The owner and staff greeted us with such kindness, even during a truly busy lunch hour. I felt like time had stopped, if for only an hour, and we had somehow escaped to Europe. While we were only there for something to warm up, while we walked around this historic town, the French Onion Soup and Tomatoe Soup with a warm fresh baguette and Dutch salted butter were spot on. We will definitely return to this gem of a bistro!

Cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Food was delicious and reasonably priced($ 35 for 3 course prix fixe). Wait staff was attentive & friendly. Only negative was that space is limited so tables are close so intimate conversation is limited. Will definitely go back for a date night.

I loved this restaurant the moment I walked in. The ambiance fits the town perfectly, it’s very charming and they have a beautiful bar as well as a gorgeous outdoor seating area. The food is delicious– order any special they’re having or you can’t go wrong with the salmon or chicken dishes. The vegetarian option is also tasty– I order it sometimes and I’m not vegetarian! Super friendly staff and a super interesting owner. Love it!

This place is adorable. A friend and I decided to try it out on a whim after living here for the better part of a year. We had an early reservation and sat upstairs at a window overlooking West German Street. The art and décor were interesting and were great conversation-starters. Our server could not be more personable, from recommending the most perfect wine to making sure everything came out promptly and to our liking. The bread with fresh butter and tapanade was a great starter. We tried the Pâté du Champagne, just because neither of us had tried it before. It was presented beautifully, but wasn’t our cup of tea. We shared the Canard(Blackened French Moroccan dry-rub duck breast roasted root vegetables, tuxedo orzo, fig chutney & lime slice) and it was heavenly. The duck was cooked medium rare, the blackened was robust but not overpowering, and the fig chutney paired perfectly with it. The portion was definitely great for the price. We each had the crêpe with brie and raspberry compote for dessert which was not pretty, but was also delicious. The freshly whipped cream was a great accompaniment. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Bistro 112.

We drove 1.5 hours and over 70 miles on a Wednesday night to eat here for the first time. We travel full-time in a motorhome and were staying near Washington DC for s week and decided to drive to West Virginia for dinner so we could tick the state off our Map! Found this place on Unilocal, menu and reviews looked great and so did the free glass of wine for a Unilocal check in! We arrived at 7.30pm and were seated at a corner table in this cute, historic(1800’s) establishment that used to be a residence. Our server Ryan was new and could not have been more warm, friendly and accommodating. She was being trained by Courtney who also took care of us — both young ladies were absolutely delightful. We were pleasantly surprised to find that upon checking in with Unilocal, instead of getting one free glass of wine, because we were a couple we got a carafe with 3 glasses of their very nice house French red blend for free. Amazingly generous and much appreciated! We both went with the 3 course Prix Fixe at $ 35/head. Ryan brought out complimentary baguette — divine!(We asked for and got a second serve). First course was the house salad(with grapes, walnuts and shaved Parmesan) and omg it was just wonderful! Perfectly balanced flavors and dressing. Hubby ordered the peppercorn steak with pommes frites while I had the chicken with lemon and capers and roasted potatoes. Both were divine — we shared and loved them both. Cooked perfectly and delicious. Simple yet authentic and tasty — not too rich… Perfect. Dessert — hubby had the warm toffee cake with fresh cream and I had the highly recommended chocolate mousse also with fresh cream. Both were fabulous and worth every calorie! Aside from the lovely ambiance, wonderful service, fabulous food and complimentary wine(good wine!) we were especially appreciative of just how warm, friendly and engaging the staff were. The owner Tucker came by to visit with us and check on our experience(5 stars) and then introduced us to other patrons(2 other tables of two) in the dining room — we had a great conversation with them too. Ryan and Courtney continued to take wonderful care of us and we loved that they took the time to really chat and engage with us. It is rare to find that level of caring, home grown hospitality these days. They all love working there — it’s like a family — and it shows, you can really feel it. We have been traveling fulltime for 18 months around the USA and we eat out often — you could say we are eating our way around the country! We have had some wonderful meals and experiences but our evening at Bistro 112 truly stands out as one of our favorites — a most memorable and enjoyable evening — and definitely worth the drive… It’s left a beautifully positive imprint of West Virginia on us. Such a cute town, which the staff and patrons clearly love — we just wish we could have spent more time in the area. It’s definitely on the list to return to in the future. Do go to Bistro 112 if you have an appreciation for all the things we mentioned. You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t say ENOUGH!!! The WARMESTWELCOME I’ve EVER had from an OWNER!!! Was seated WITHOUT reservation, Even though the restaurant was serving Double Duty for the Contemporary American Theater Festival«meet and greet» that evening. The quintessential poster of Hospitality!!! There wasn’t a restaurant left open when My friend and I got to town. We had NOIDEAITWASTHE«BUSIEST» weekend of the year. Exhausted; after biking 100 miles and climbing up the steep incline from the C&O trail, I needed to sit and eat. I can’t express ENOUGH How THANKFUL I am to Deb for taking us in!!! «Literally». Absolutely ADORABLE place and charming atmosphere!!! Home turned restaurant. Little powder room tucked under the stairs. New Orleans(French) flair atmosphere. Bistro 112 gave 100% to two stragglers and served us two incredible 3 course meals. I downed an ice cold beer!!! Stella Artois. Three course dinner; Salad, Chicken, and a steaming cup of Hot Coffee to go with desert. Second time through. Recommended!!! The hardest part was getting there!!! But, EVENHARDER was leaving!!!

Yes, it’s quaint, it’s charming, the floors squeak and the lights flicker. The food was ok, but sort of inconsistent. The scallop appetizer was delicious, the salmon was tasty over sauced, the roasted potatoes were overwhelmed by rosemary, the mussels were not that good and kind of cold. I’m chalking this one up maybe to not ordering well? But I had higher expectations than this.
