One of my favorite spots in Shepherdstown to get a drink after work, go out on the weekend and take visiting friends to. Tons of space, inside and out and fun arcade games. There is a small menu of food but everything is delicious, hearty and sourced-locally. Staff is incredibly friendly, selection of alcohol is wide and there is often live music or events hosted here. Glad to have them in the community and can’t wait for the brewing to begin!

My boyfriend and I frequent the Town Run Brewery and we love it! They always have different beers(only four though) on tap at a time, which are not of their own making. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, always. During the weekends, they often have live music, which is fantastic and lively. Their menu, while a bit limited, is still great. I can attest to the great quality especially of the kale salad and the loaded mashed potatoes(so yummy). There are a ton of arcade games that are pretty enjoyable too. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I would love for them to actually brew their own beer and live up to their name of being a brewery! Overall, this is a great spot to hang out, eat, drink, and be merry! :)

Tons of potential. LOVE the building and the vibe its leaning to. Hubby and I were shocked to walk in expecting to hang out and found a kids party wrapping up. Husband is highly allergic to kids so we almost ran out in a panic but although they were running around like many many litters of puppies let loose, the bar appeared to be a safe zone. We clung to it like one of the scraps of ship while the titanic went down. No onsite brewing but some great local choices. We will venture back in the near future but will be sure to avoid Saturday afternoon kid hour! Yikes. Bartenders were great and although we had already had lunch they did have a menu which we will enjoy on our next visit.

Totally disappointed. This is not someplace you would go to eat a meal. The menu is extremely limited. No table service. You order your food at the bar and pick up at the window. Might as well get take out and go home if I have to go through all that.

Town Run Brewery-Not a Brewery… Yet When I heard there was a brewery in Sheptown I was nearly tumescent. But it was a false alarm. There is a tenuous tale about trying to serve their own beer by October. But with no equipment in place this claim seems dubious. There’s a 4 tap craft beer selection along with craft bottle/cans as well wine and full bar. We had the skirt steak salad. All components locally sourced. It showed potential. The space is pretty cool. It’s huge as it was a old Southern States feed store. They have a small arcade. It’s dog and kid friendly. The customer base is typical of Shepherdstown: Old Yuppies/Curious Locals/DC people visiting a festival town/a Women with nowhere else to turn/a guy from Hagerstown who is sure everyone in Shepherdstown is a «Queer”/Guys with man buns debating the merits of kombucha/Old women making dream catchers/people juggling/me judging everyone. I certainly would go back. I also think it has great potential as a stand alone bar. I’d add a star if they brewery was up and running. Parking is at the railroad track end of the building. Watch for the Po-lease. So come to Shepherdstown who are you to resist?

Farm to barstool grub. Wonderfully goofy. Pinball and the fabulous sound of screen doors slapping.

So far, so awesome. My husband and I live nearby, so in our excitement, we have been 3 times since they opened. Once for food + beers, for drinks again on Saturday night, and last night for post-bike-ride cocktails. The food was simple but delicious(I especially enjoyed the soup), and the cocktails we had last night were memorable(New York Sour with homemade sour mix, perfectly foamy egg whites). This is the kind of place I would come by myself on a weeknight for simple food and a drink after work – and the kind of place I would want to meet friends for beers. Keep up the great work – can’t wait to try the Town Run beers when they become available!

This place has promise, but they’ve only been open for a week. The cherry double black Leinenkugel(«Big Eddy») on tap is delicious(picture uploaded), with a few other good choices. Nice wine selection, and they advertised a couple of mixed drinks but their liquor selection is not on display, so I can’t attest to options. They’ve got a honey-based drink called the«Bees-Knees» that I’ll try next time. They have a few heathy food choices with locally grown ingredients, but this isn’t really a burger and fries kind of place. The owner and staff were very accomodating and friendly. This is a very relaxed spot, with plenty of space inside, and outdoor seating in the shade. Definitely worth a stop in to check how they’ve recycled this rustic abandoned building into a nice new spot in Shepherdstown.
