Stopped here at midnight to grab a bite to eat. Really cool 50’s diner setting with music to help set the mood. Food was HOT, served quick, and was tasty. Fairly clean for age of establishment. Kim and Pat were our waitresses and both were very attentive and served with a smile. Tried the Pot Roast Melt with Onion rings and Sweet Tea. Really good Southern sweet tea, Sandwich was very tasty, and the order of onion rings was so much that I could only eat half of them. My companion got the Nachos which I sampled, they were really good as well. Will definetly try again.

Food is great, service was weak. They Had plenty help but no one was paying attention. All standing around BSing. And don’t use the bathroom!

Think: truck stop. Place should be closed and cleaned for a day. Temperature is freezing. Wore coats while we ate. Food was pretty good. Overpriced. Cheeseburgers at a diner should not be $ 9.50. Ridiculous. Bathrooms looked like a dirty, rundown truck stop bathroom. Wouldn’t return to this one. It’s a shame, because we pulled over specifically to go to a Denny’s.

First time at a Denny’s in years. At this location they have a smoking/non-smoking section. They had everything from breakfast(pancakes, omelets, etc) to dinner(sandwiches, burgers, salads). We were seated right away. The atmosphere was like a diner. Our drink order was taken right away. After that it took about 25 minutes to get our food. I order the two pancakes for $ 2 with a coke and my sister-in-law ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich and a water. Idk how much hers was I’m thinking $ 8. Our total came to $ 14 and some change. My pancakes were really good and she said her sandwich was good too. Our server was just a little slow but we all have our off days. All in all I would go back.

Place was a dump. Smelled like a dirty wet sock, bathrooms were worst than a port a john, there were tables that had food left over from a previous customer that sat there for 15 min before it was cleaned up… note that there were 4 other tables with customers besides ours, the floors looked liked they’ve never been swept or washed in weeks… the ceiling was leaking water. A customer told me they are remodeling but are not fixing the leaks… pointless! We get our food and start eating and low and behold a nasty 6 legged critter is in my wife’s sandwich. We left! Where’s the Kentucky health inspector? What do they even inspect? Too bad I even have to give it star cause ultimately places like this should be shut down! Should have listened to the wife when she wanted to leave before we ordered. Skip this place if you can!

Only thing that convinced me to give this Denny’s a two instead of a one star review is the 50’s diner theme. Other than that, might want to think second about enjoying a meal here. Table hadn’t been cleaned properly before I sat down. Thus I got someone else’s mess on my pants. Waitress took half an hour to bring me a glass of tea. It was obvious the griddle was too hot since she was back in 90 seconds with my first serving of pancakes. They looked ok, but were so leathery it was impossible to get any syrup soaked into them. Four sausage links at $ 3.09 is highway robbery especially since they were cool to the touch when they came out. $ 10 for a glass of tea, sausage, and tea is high to begin with but I’d pay it gladly somewhere else to enjoy a good breakfast!!!

Food has always been good but the atmosphere, not so good. The bathrooms are very cold and dark and dirty. The last time i went, i was overcome by the smell of moldy smell mixed with strong bleach. It upset my stomach so bad i turned around and left.

When we lived in Dayton, the Denny’s outside the mall was a regular destination. At the time it was the only half-decent chain restaurant in what was otherwise a sea of same-old same-old. Then it got knocked down and the closest Denny’s to us became the one in an ugly part of Dayton, a location apparently staffed by ignorant idiots and no cleaners. We stopped going completely, not least because of the lousy service. Imagine our surprise then when, on our way back from a quick stop on the famed Bourbon trail, our trusty GPS flagged up this Denny’s just off the Kentucky Turnpike. We looked at one another and both thought«why not?» This wasn’t a run of the mill Denny’s. It’s designed and laid out like an old fashioned 50’s Diner. The staff are ‘old school’ top notch characters too, presumably chosen for their experienced friendliness. However, it sadly also sticks to antiquated ideals with regards to still having a smoking section — which has to to be walked through to get to the bathrooms — the disgusting smell from which wafts uncontrolled through the entire premises. The food hasn’t changed much in the 6 or 7 years since we last ate at a Denny’s. They still have their all-day breakfast menu, the steaming hot skillets and a selection of family favorites. But they appear to have added a choice of fish and vegetarian(i.e. healthier) options to cater for a changing market… nice to see. Shame about the smoking. We’d probably go here again on our next distillery trip if it wasn’t for that.

Love this little place out in the middle of no place in Kentucky. It looked like an old fifties diner. We loved it!!!

Please note that this hotel does have a smoking/non-smoking section. However, it could’ve been the fact that we were there at a not so busy hour that you couldn’t really smell any smoke or smokey section. Nothing over the top on the food as it is standard on the Denny’s menu. What get’s my «fan» rating is the service. Our server never let our glasses run dry and she apologized for the food taking long when we waited probably all of 5 minutes after we ordered. It’s right off the I-65 towards E-town from Louisville. I look forward to going again when I have a hankering for Denny’s :)
