Swift Yacht Charters

My family and I had the best vacation we’ve ever had through Swift Yacht Charters. We spent New Years cruising the BVIs on a crewed sailing cat. Hope hooked us up with the perfect boat and crew. They attended every need, were great with our kids and the food was amazing. So many islands and anchorages in such close proximity, excellent snorkeling and fun shore-​side activities-​the crew knew all the best spots.
i can’t recommend this vacation and Swift Yacht Charters enough!

I’ve been chartering sailboats in the Western world for over 14 years. I’ve also owned a couple. A few years ago, I had gone through the checkout process with Hope and reserved a charter, which ‘fell through’ do to mechanical problems with my boat. Never got off the ground after traveling a few hundred miles. No replacement was provided, but deposit returned. A vacation planned — up in smoke.
Fast Forward — 2012 — I tried again to charter, but 1 reference (out of 10) came back, less than stellar. OK, I thought to myself: «I’m not getting emails and phone calls returned — I get the hint — maybe we’re not a match?» The deposit was eventually returned, but I am left with a lesson learned:
When chartering with a «Chief cook and Bottle washer» operation, be prepared — the experience may become personal. (Maybe the sound of your voice, or the color of your skin, becomes an issue).
Stick with the professionally operated Moorings or Sunsail companies, every time you charter with them — they truly want you to come back.

We’ve had three experiences chartering bareboats (sail) in New England from Hope Swift now. Once we had to cancel due to illness but the other two times we got a terrific boat that was very well equipped. Had a very minor problem the first time and the owner was instantly available to help us and really cared about resolving the issue. The gear and the condition of the boat was as described. Hope’s office was pretty easy to deal with. Also, they send follow-​up questionaires after the charter and they read them. We will definitely use her again.
