So today we attempted to visit J Wrigley… it was super rainy and wine country was relatively slow. We called to check ahead of time to make sure they would be open, but unfortunately when we showed up we discovered they had closed early. To be frank, I was pissed. We drove all the way to Sheridan to see this winery that we have been wanting to go to for years, as we always have their wine at Seafood and Wine festival and we are big fans! To make matters worse, we got stuck up at the top of their road for 30ish minutes because there was a big crew harvesting Christmas trees with a helicopter and huge trucks were blocking the road. I wrote a very ‘to the point’ email to the owner, letting her know how upset I was. Not 15 minutes later, she called me, apologized and offered for us to come back up so she could open the tasting room for us privately. Having just navigated our way through the sea of trucks and Christmas trees, we declined… she then went the extra mile and offered to have us come visit the winery again, in December and stay on the property. I am so impressed with J Wrigley’s professionalism and generosity. I cannot wait to spend some time with them in a couple months and enjoy their vinyard! :)

i cannot begin to say how amazing this vineyard is. to the scenery, to the vendors, to the wine: everything is exceptional. i have been a club member for a couple years and recently had an engagement party in the tasting room and could not believe how smoothly everything ran. jody and mom took care of everything from the catering to the pouring and made all the guests feel welcome and attended to. everyone who was there could not get enough of the view and the feel for the place. if i could, i would live in the tasting room but i think that’s illegal. j. wrigley is one of my favorite places on earth. hands down you will not be disappointed.

What a gem! Went to this hidden treasure in Sheridan, OR for a friends wedding and had an amazing evening. The view and service was excellent. The wine selection of this boutique winery was delicious. Will for sure go back again to taste some more wines and enjoy the beautiful view.

I had my wedding here and everyone at J. Wrigley was absolutely wonderful. My emails were always promptly answered in a detailed manner. They have created such a welcoming, wonderful atmosphere at their vineyard, it is really wonderful. If you’re interested in wine tasting, J. Wrigley is also hard to beat. They have world-class wines and(like I said above) such a warm, wonderful atmosphere. People at my wedding couldn’t stop raving about how wonderful the wine was. Definitely worth the drive!

Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful. The tasting room was clean and the views are gorgeous. It is quite a long drive up the hill from the entrance to the tasting room, but being surrounded by all the vineyards is worth it.

This winery is so close to home. I don’t know how we’ve never been here before. While we were at Cork Cellars in Sisters, Oregon, last week we had a bottle of their wine. So, when the passport weekend came up this weekend for the Mcminnville area AVA, we decided to pay them a visit. At first we were going to ride our bikes up here(not recommended, very hilly) but we settled on a car ride and nestled in a Christmas tree farm we found a little building with classical music blaring(it’s was nice – I liked it not a criticism just a surprised observation). The guy playing for the day(Martin Gerschwitz) was a former member of the Animals and a few other notable bands, he was just up from his home in San Diego, playing at a winery in Sheridan, Oregon(there must be more to that story). Enjoyable and engaged the audience. The winery was slammed due to the passport weekend but even though there was only one staffer(she said she was just helping out for the weekend) very efficient and knowledgable on the wine. The building is made out of reclaimed wood and very rustic looking, nice job and the views from up there worth strolling outside to take a look. We each did a flight he red and mine was white and it is a ten dollar tasting fee that is waived with purchase. Nice digs, friendly folks, and close to home. What more could you ask for? I will definitely be back.
