Key Transmission & Gears

I brought my Chevy 3500 Duramax Diesel to him after two transmission shops, one being a dealership, failed to gain my confidence. I started losing ATF on a trip to Denver from Phoenix, ran it dry a few times, and by the time I hit Santa Fe, there was a noticeable noise coming from the transmission/​bell housing area. I made it to denver, though it required almost 20 quarts of ATF to keep it going. The GMC dealer told me I needed a new motor and transmission, as the leak was a broken case, and the noise was rod knock from a thrown rod bearing. The second shop I brought the truck to wanted to replace half my front suspension during the repair, since they «were going to have it apart anyways». So, as they say, third time’s a charm. Jeff gained my confidence immediately, he’s a good guy, and found the actual culprit… a broken flywheel, front pump seal and bushing. The torque convertor was suspect, so I had him replace it with a heavier-​duty part just to be sure. Repairs done in a timely manner, price was reasonable, all is good, and I can get home, now. Jeff and his son are class acts. which is rare to find in this industry. Straight shooters and reasonable fees. I had to replace a tranny in my wife’s Volvo XC 70. They not only beat the best comp I could muster but also did the job in record time. Great shop. Highly suggest.

I can’t say enough about how knowledgeable, professional, and honest this company is! When the transmission on my company van blew, they not only beat the competition in terms of price but got it in and out very quickly so I could return to doing business. And when it broke down again (different issue), I had a similar experience.
The cherry on the cake? Jeff was easily able to clearly explain some complicated automotive issues to me and I know zip about mechanical issues). And he’s just plain NICE… a rarity in the world in general and certainly in terms of mechanics.
