New name. Called the Tailgaters. Great food was hot and fresh. Had the breaded tenderloin was thick and hot. Onion rings were batter and not greasy. Freindly staff. Would have gotten 5 starts but all the tables were dirty.

I’m not going ’cause of the piss poor service a friend of mine, and her husband received — in fact NO service.(They went in, no one every waited on them, and as they were leaving, someone stuck her head out of the back room and said, «Thanks, Have a nice day.» WOW! Enough for me!

Overall — the high side of 3 stars — say 3.75. Not bad at all. Good place. Small dining area on the family side — maybe 8 tables(3 for party of 6 or more, 5 for party of 4) *thanks to the Unilocalers for getting this on my radar — wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. Small town Sheridan and I might go through Sheridan once every year or so on 38 — not to the west side of town. Our party of two decided to check it out on a quiet Thursday, cool wind blown evening for a late dinner. [8:00p] You know I love me some tender Loins! yummmm We opted for sandwiches. I chose the larger Sheridan Jumbo Tenderloin loaded w/the garden and mustard/mayo — the much better half chose the Prime Rib Sandwich — medium rare(not shaved — slab) — w/sweet potato fries and onion ring kickers Special was the sliced brisket — ½lb w/2 sides for $ 9.99 tempting but had to gauge the loin. Love me some brisket too. [if there had been burnt ends on the menu — there would have been hands down no question !!!] We threw a lot of questions to the waitress — she was very helpful. As we waited, it gave us the chance to check out the atmosphere. I don’t care what a place looks like — as long the place is clean, welcoming and most importantly has good grub. We’re in Sheridan but the owners must be FLA Keys and Key West fans — little quirky being in Sheridan — but it’s fine. Our selections arrive at proper temps, well seasoned and cooked to order. The Jumbo tenderloin is just that — Jumbo — With a toasted bun to match. The garden for the sammie came on the side along w/all condiments. Killer pickles by the way. Sweet potato fries were standard offering and good. Her Prime Rib sammie was served at a perfect medium-rare, came w/horseradish sauce on the side. Onion rings were crisp, hot, thin breading — in a word STANDOUT. Love, love, love the onion rings. I can’t believe she shared one w/me actually. Had to be before she tasted it. Overall, it was a good experience and discovery. We’ll be back. Not sure I’d make it a destination dining experience for us but it was good. Total check w/tip ~ $ 23. I think I would order the smaller bun for the jumbo loin next time. But I’d like to try the charcoal grilled meatloaf, or the ONE pound burger… or that brisket.

Best Breaded Tenderloin — EVER !! I came with friends for dinner on Wed. 10÷10÷12. It was their 3rd visit in 3 weeks & we drove from Indianapolis’s northside !! …(They had been in the area the 1st time getting apples and stumbled upon this place by chance) We sat in the bar, which is nice, basic & a comfy enough little place. Sorry i forget our bartender/servers name but she was very nice, speedy & great with our questions, request, refills etc. They serve their coffee in actual mugs ! Not 6 or 8oz cups, but 12 oz(maybe larger) mugs !! It is wonderful *** We made the drive for the Breaded Tenderloin. It is HUGE& it is DELICIOUS !! I consider it INDIANA’S BEST !! They serve it on a super jumbo bun the size ive never seen. The tenderloin is not only large, but it is thick n meaty with a very light breading with great crunch !! I ordered it(the jumbo, but they do offer a smaller size, but i wanted leftovers) with a sweet potato that was so flavorful i didnt add butter. I only ate half of the tenderloin & potato, because i was so stuffed, so we ordered the Apple Crisp to take home. It was a very tasty treat later that evening ! *** When I visit Indy I will definitely be back for the Tenderloin !!! Nice job Stuart’s !!! …(sadly, I live in Illinois where people are clueless about breaded tenderloins) PS — Couldnt give 5 stars for a few reasons: i didnt get to experience the place when it’s busy to see how well staff & kitchen handle a rush. And I strongly suggest they get rid of the carpet, it actually cheapens the palce & made it feel more«dive» than the place is — plus i dont think carpet ever has a place in a bar(nor most restaurants)

Stopped in for ribs(to go). Clean, Key West décor. Very friendly service. Ribs were terrific and side items were pretty tasty too. Will return for dine-in next time.

One of the best values around for grilled steak & talapia. A small town ma & pa restaurant with a gorgeous drive through the country side to find it. Unpretentious and rather limited seating on the inside as well as some outdoor seating but clean and modern paint and tables. Servers are a bit young and inexperienced but very willing to please. Menu is not updated as a wine list is offered but one was not available(the server came back with a handwritten list). The Pinot was good but no bottle presented or label info offered. The food is worth the drive. Steaks are tender and grilled just right. Numerous sides that have homemade touches such as the green beans with bacon and the garlic mashed potatoes. If you are patient with your server, the cook will send you a great meal. Plastic cups with ceramic dinner plates makes the setting casual.

Would’ve given the old locale a 5 star review as the new place isn’t quite as intimate and the«Pork Night Wednesdays» aren’t around any more which was always a family favorite. All in all, this place is a gem for Northern Hamilton County and well worth the trip up to Sheridan. Stuart is an incredibly friendly person that knows meat, so the steaks are always top-notch. The rest of the staff is as friendly as can be as well. Highly recommended(even with no «pork night»)!

I found this place by accident almost as they do no advertising. We are glad we did! Home town, family owned charm with excellent food and reasonably priced. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere and you can feel comfortable in your casual clothers. The morel and steak chowder and a wedge salad were the starters and both were good sized portions and tasted fresh. For the main course, my wife had the ribeye and I had the Delmonico. Both were delicious with just the right amount of spices and were very tender. They arrived hot, which is not what I have been served recently at other better known steakhouses. Try the creamed corn as it is sweet but not heavy. Overall, this is one of the best experiences I have had in recent memory and will no longer be a well kept secret. I highly recommend this local taste of home!
