Thank You Sergio for your great customer service! The customer in front of me was taking foreeeever to order but Sergio’s friendliness made my frustration disappear– besides it wasn’t his fault. I ordered a Dos Manos– which was deliiiiish! Two thumbs up! In the past I have ordered salads but never had a good experience. I have also ordered nachos but they don’t make ‘em like they use to. They are very stingy with the beans:(and meat. So you are basically eating chips by themselves. I do however luv their burritos! I don’t think they have the build your own burrito– but the other burros on the menu are great! * And Just fyi– never had a problem with the bathrooms. They have been clean, the times I’ve used them:) and never make it a big deal that I have to pay first.

I visited mid-afternoon, hot, tired, and hungry from walking about 6 miles in 80-degree sun. Baja Fresh was my oasis. A gentleman greeted me even before I’d reached the counter to order. The grilled shrimp chile lime salad looked very good, so I placed the order, then sampled three different salsas on warm, crisp tortilla chips(all were fresh and good, though I liked the green verde best) while I waited for my meal. The feast was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was delicious — a prefect balance of ingredients — I finished every morsel on the plate and departed happy, stomach full, and energized for the trip home.

What can I say, this location not only provides great service, but the food is pretty ok, given the fact that it’s a fast food place. I ordered my food and got it reasonably quick. What made this a great experience was the fact that the manager, I believe her name was Breanna, she changed my Sprite since I told her that it tasted funny. She was more than happy to bring me a brand new one. I will definitely be comming back when I’m in the mood for some fast food and I’m in the area!!!

I have been coming to this Baja for years however the last year and a half this place has gone down in service, food, and cleanliness. Last month my boyfriend and I went in and the place hadn’t been swept(food on the floor), tables were filthy with old food and napkins. The service was horrible as the workers were standing around and talking to each other, their phone were out. Food was ok, how can you mess up a bean and cheese burrito. I went back two weeks ago and again the place wasn’t very clean. I was second in line to order and that took about 15 minutes because they were short staffed. The girl taking the orders had to answer the phone and take the phone orders. It was finally my turn to order and I order steak nachos with no pico de gallo and a drink. I grab my drink, some salsa and sit down. I wasn’t given any chips and I sat there for 20 minutes without my number being called. People that ordered after me got their food, so I went to the counter and stood there again for 5 minutes as the two employees taking orders were doing just that. I saw my what I thought to be my nachos sitting there and I asked the employee if my order was ready. She checked and began to hand me the«nachos» that had been sitting there I told her I asked for no pico de gallo. She told the cooks and threw the nachos away. I asked how long it would take for my order to be ready, she said about 15 minutes as they were behind… I was so irritated and requested my money back and canceled my order. Needless to say this location is always understaffed. I asked for the owner/managers name, which the employees provided Vic. Vic you should really spend a couple days at your restaurant so you could see what is going on and that your location is understaffed. Please make sure that your employees are happy and that you keep them staffed enough to make customers happy. I won’t be returning but I hope there is change!

The girl that answered the phone when I placed my phone order was RUDE! I think her name was Brenda? I wasn’t able to hear her well so I asked her to repeat herself. She answered«I said Baja Fresh in Sherman Oaks What can I get for you?» In a rude way. Like sorry for bothering you. Ugh.

Horrible service. My friend ordered take out and I went to pick it up. They never handed me my drink that I payed for and since I was in a rush, I walked out not even noticing that I didn’t have my complete order until I got to my friend’s house. As you might know, parking around that area is crazy. I called to get a refund for the drink that the cashier never handed me. They said they couldn’t give me a $ 2 refund unless I went in and showed them the receipt. I think that’s absolutely ridiculous. No way was I going to go back and try to find parking again just to get a drink. You could argue that I should have asked for the drink, but in my opinion, the cashier should have handed me my full order. It is their responsibility to provide me with all the things I paid for. I will not be ordering from here again.

Food is whatever, it’s Baja Fresh. The service is what is horrrrrible.(not everyone that works there of course but a few people) If you need to use the restroom, Peeee in your pants first then order. They’ll open the door for you after you pay. Annoying, apparently everyone looks homeless and MUSTPAY first.

This place is a little hit and miss. Some days the service is amazing and some days I feel as if I am interrupting the staff when I place my order. The salsa bar is inconsistent as well. The salsa last week was amazing, however this week it was not. This location is so convenient I just wish it was top notch all the time.

How do you screw up a to-go food order when it’s written down right on front of you? I filled out that stupid BYOB form and they STILL messed it up. When I drove back to the store to get a replacement, the manager decided that it was a better idea to poke around in the burrito and argue with me when it’s clearly written on the BYOB form that she was wrong. Just give me my money back so I can go home! I wish IQ was a prerequisite for management. The last time they messed up a burrito, I asked for a steak burrito, no guac, no sour cream. When I got home I bit into it and I swear to G-d, the ONLY ingredients in the burrito was— GUAC and SOURCREAM! I refuse to be a patron of basura.

First time i ever set foot into a Baja Fresh my mouth dropped to the floor… till then my fast food mexican option had always beem taco bell. Then, BOOM.. i get to Cali and i enter Baja Fresh. Those that were with me were all aggravated by the ammount of time it took for our orders to be ready. I found this to be the best part. It meant it was freshly made and not blobbed on your crunchy shell like they would do at Taco Bell… the sauces/topping station had a wide range of sauces: pico de gallo, mild/medium/hot salsa. Green salsa… NO pitiful packaged sauces… i was in heaven. I have(since) experienced Tex-Mex fast food and i still believe Baja to be the best option as far as fast food… Those complaining about the food… it is NOT a restaurant, it is NOT a mom&pop’s hole-in-a-wall joint. So, for being a fast food, i pretty mich give double thumbs up!!! And, this specific location holds a special place in my heart for sentimental reasons

Is not nice, for being my second time at this location. And they like and have the habit of putting OLDBROWNGUACAMOLE on the orders to go is not the first time this happened. I’ve heard of other costumers a complaining about the same thing. And that veggie burrito I got was disgusting OLDFOODWITH A WEIRDSMELLLIKEOLD, There’s better locations to go and get FRESHGUACAMOLE. But not this locations. Sucks

Worst service ever. Expect to be ignored 10+ minutes and to be given weird looks for asking to order. Do yourself a favor and go to the chipotle a block over instead.

Went here for lunch today and the bean and cheese burrito was pretty good! My 1 ½ year old had the quesadilla and though you can’t go too wrong, there’s was very salty. For an kids meal it was pretty bad. The salt was just too much. Rice was good, salt was just over board. My friend had tacos and they were just«Ok.» The best part is that they are clean. And the high chairs are kept with the trays covered in plastic to keep them clean. I appreciate that.

The 2 stars are for the service. The staff is super friendly, helpful and keep the salsa bar stocked and clean. Cons: Nothing that I ordered tasted fresh. I had a steak burrito and the meat tasted as if it had been reheated. Gross. The chips were stale and hard. The guacamole was missing tomatoes. It was just avocado, a lot of onions and cilantro. Everything should have been fresh since it was around 6:00 pm.

I’m torn. I’m torn because I love Baja. I really do. I know it’s not authentic Mexican food but it sure is so damn good! I’ve been a huge fan for just about 20 years now. I’ve been to many locations. I go to this particular location because it’s right down the street from my work. The parking can be a little annoying but not so bad. It’s a structure in the back and you pull a ticket but they do validate. I receive Baja promotional emails so I always get their coupons. You get $ 2 off a purchase of $ 8 or more or another coupon for $ 5 off for $ 15 purchase or more. Awesome. Love me a coupon. My items always change here. I get tacos, fajitas, bowls etc. the chicken is good. It’s chicken breast which is what I like. The steak is pretty decent also. I like the shrimp but I have to make sure to ask for it well done. The absolute star and what keeps me coming back always and forever is the salsa Baja. It’s literally the best salsa in the world. If I ever get anything from Baja whether it’s a taco, burrito or just chips I have to get massive quantities of this salsa. It’s like charred onions and tomatoes garlic and cilantro. OMG. Just the best. I can drink it. The service here is always good. I come here so often they all pretty much know my face. 9⁄10 times they bring the food over to my table once it’s ready instead of call my order number out. It’s the little things and they do their part. All in all it’s a great lunch place. It’s not expensive. Portions are good. The Baja burrito is one of my favs. Chicken, guac, cheese and pico. It’s just perfect. Oh yah and I slap some Baja salsa on every bite. SO good!

I used to be a fan of Baja Fresh. BEFORE I moved to California. Now there is just an abundance of fantastic Mexican food, authentic and cheaper. There is really no reason to eat at Taco Bell, Chipotle or Baja’s when living here. That being said, sometimes my husband craves Chipotle or like yesterday, we were in the area, hungry and hadn’t eaten Baja’s in awhile. Restaurant was empty, most of the locations I have been to usually are… but the wait for the food is ALWAYS still long. Not super long, but 10 – 15 minutes is I think still too long. The prices I think also too high for the portions that you get. Over the years I have tried almost everything on the menu, my husband usually goes with the burritos, I go with fish tacos or salads. The food tastes fine, I LOVE their salsa bar, always very fresh and a great assortment, one of the best really. Not bad, not great, semi healthy, a perfect average.

I love this Baja Fresh location, except for the parking. The new BYOB(Build Your Own Burrito) option is amazing and just what I wanted. I’m not a fan of spicy, so I appreciate that I can build my burritos here not spicy and still get pico de gallo in them. Chiptole’s pico is too spicy and so are their steak and shredded beef. The service is always good and they keep the place nice and clean. As someone else noted, it’s never too busy here, so it’s very convenient to stop by after work for a quick bite or if you want to quickly take some food to go. I mentioned before the parking situation isn’t so great. It’s not their fault. It’s a busy area and your best bet is to find a meter. Almost forgot… free chips and salsa!!! Chipotle charges for their chips. Baja for the win!

Exceptional service by the manager. This Sherman Oaks Baja Fresh is never busy so I like dropping in when I am in the neighborhood because I know I can get lunch/dinner quickly. One of their marketing tactics is the build your own burrito, taco, etc. using their check-off sheets on clipboards. I asked the person who was taking my order if this was mandatory(she happened to be the manager) and said that it was not — that she would be able to take my order verbally. Since my order was to go, I asked if I could get some salsas from the salsa bar. She kindly replied yes and gave me a bag so that I could put my condiments in it. The salsa bar was well stocked and best of all maintained clean. Good selection, from the mild to the firery. Overall, the burrito that I ordered was well build and tasted great.
