Saw this place open and really wanted to give them a try. Stopped by for some delicious Veg. options this time and was not disappointed. They are really serious to make your experience a pleasant one. From friendly and helpful staff to tasty desert they made a great impression. I will be going back soon to try the chicken korma. I’ve heard some good stuff about it. Thank you guys

We went to this Indian restaurant and thought that the embiance was so nice. We felt very welcomed and relaxed here. The food was outstanding as well as the staff. It is the traditional style Indian food with plenty to choose from. You have to try the different Naan bread selection they have here. You will love it here.

I want this place to stay in Sherman Oaks forever. It’s in a strip with a lot of turnover, so I’m praying it doesn’t go away. The food is scrumptious, the service personable and amazing. The samosas?! I can’t even begin. They. Are. So. Good. It’s one of the best Indian places I’ve been to in the city, and I’ve been to a lot of them. Go! Go now!

I love indian food and my friend said they are the best. So i went to give it a try, and they did not lie! The best cocoa bread (nann) and egg fried rice ever. I also had a side of shrimp curry and vegetable curry and it was perfection. I totally recommend it for anyone who is hungry lol!

Found this place on Unilocal of course! I am so glad I did, I have been looking for an authentic Indian restaurant for sometime.

Came here for an early Sunday lunch. There was plenty of parking in the back alley as it was 11:30 and we were the first ones there. There is parking on Ventura Blvd as well. The restaurant is new and everything was very clean.
The servers were attentive and prompt with taking our orders and refilling our water. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, the curry coconut fish and garlic naan. The naan is some of the best I’ve ever had– it was awesome.
Coconut curry fish was extremely tender and flavorful and the chicken tikka masala wasn’t the typical buttery, fatty tasting like others I’ve had. Great place for lunch and dinner. I will definitely be back.

Amazing food and amazing service. We were immediately greeted and seated and the service was fast. The food was fantastic as well. The tika masala was buttery and just tangy enough. The chicken vindaloo was just the right kind of spicy and had great layers of spice. I’ll certainly be returning.

Throughly descent Indian food. Honestly the most authentic I’ve had since moving to LA. Delivery took forever, but the delivery guy was super cool and the restaurant let me know there would be a delay (Legit excuse, one of the drivers was hit by someone on Ventura). Anyways, I got chicken tikka masala. Spice level was good, taste was authentic. Naan was great as well. Portion size was to be expected. $ 25 minimum for delivery which is kind of annoying for one person, so I ended up having ample leftovers. I’ll definitely order again.

Wonderful yummy food, I’m not (wasn’t) a big fan of Indian food, but Bollywood changed that. Will definitely return. My only suggestion is that perhaps portions might be a bit larger… Sam was our waiter and he was a real gentleman.

Just ordered delivery, Chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, onion bhaji, papadams, brown rice, gulab jamun for dessert.
Every item was excellent, the chicken tikka masala was packed with chicken (white meat), and was incredibly hot and fresh
The garlic naan was very good, like right out of the oven good
The rice papadams and bhaji were very very good as well. The dessert is very rich, swimming in syrup
Overall this place has really good food in good portions for the right price.
The service is also awesome. Order arrived promptly, the guy answering the phone is awesome.

We used to go to the Bollywoods in Studio City quite often. Very happy to have one in Sherman Oaks.
Décor: very nice. More upscale than your typical Indian food restaurant. The location used to be a hookah place, so it still has some of that cool vibe.
Food: excellent. We had the chicken tikka masala, the chicken vindaloo, and the chicken sag plus rice. They bring papadam and sauce as part of the meal.
Each entre was around $ 12 and the rice was $ 3 for a fairly large dish (more than enough for 3 people).
The chicken sag and vindaloo are out of this world. Great flavor. Medium spicy was just right for us. The sag was the freshest I’ve seen at an Indian restaurant.
The chicken tikka masala, their signature dish, was very good but had WAY too much sugar for my taste. I probably wouldn’t order that again here.
One of the nice things is that they can make any of the dishes that usually have cream with coconut milk instead. Add the cream at the end of the cooking process, so replacing it with coconut milk is easy for them to do.
Also, most of the curries don’t have any added sugar, cornstarch, flower or anything like that, so if you are gluten-​free or low carb you’ll be happy here.
We’ll be back. 5 stars.

When you’re an Indian who has lived in Southeast Asia all your life, you tend to have a deep distrust of Asian restaurants in LA. Most have been made to suit American tastebuds.
Such is not the case for this spot. When I asked for my food to be Indian spicy, my lamb vindaloo was flavorful and spicy — like it would be in the motherland.
The Bhendi was fresh and delicious and their cheese naan is a must-​order.
Don’t forget to finish your meal with their pistachio ice cream and gulab jaman.
And service is attentive and spectacular! Definitely coming back!

My first time trying this place, I had my food delivered from this restaurant. My order was Chicken Tikka Masala, 12 oz rice, and garlic naan.
The food from here was great! The Masala was sweet and creamy. The chicken was not over seasoned. The rice was cooked properly. The garlic naan was large and full of flavor.

We live walking distance and I have been wanting to try this place out since they opened.
We ordered the Vegetable Somosas, Chicken Tika Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Bismati Rice, and Pain Naan Bread.
We would absolutely order the exact same items again on our next visit. The restaurant is clean and staff is super friendly.

Came here really hungry…
Waiters were really courteous but the food was very mediocre taste wise. The starter papadams were the best of all food that was served. The mango lassi had paper in it. The waiter was nice enough to erase them from the bill. Still could have done a much better job! A star for courtesy.

Wow! I’ve never left a Unilocal review before, but after ordering from here I HAD to. I ordered the Mixed Vegetable Masala Lunch Special & was extremely happy with my meal. Vegetable Masala, Rice & a piece of naan. Perfect flavor, very filling & stayed hot when picking-​up for takeout. I would highly recommend you try this new restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

It is consistent, great service and wonderful food made with fresh ingredients.

Not so great! Fried rice was too greasy and rice was undercooked. Chicken tikka was ok but chicken was too rubbery. Only good thing was delivery was super quick. Hope they improve.

I’ve been to their other location in studio city but I got n AD in the mail they are not right in my neighborhood. This place has the best tasting Indian food I’ve ever had. Authentic, fresh, and flavorful. The atmosphere at this locations very romantic, nice. Basically u can come here for a nice date if you wanted to. LoL the service was also excellent. Def coming back soon!

Just had dinner here with some friends and loved it. We ordered tandoori chicken, chicken Tikka, veggie samosas, coconut curry with lamb, sag paneer, fried rice, garlic Naan, and Naan stuffed with minced lamb.
Highlights were the sag paneer, curry lamb, and the fried rice… Which I will absolutely order again. Décor was really nice and the space was very comfortable. The service was excellent… all the servers made us feel very welcomed and were very attentive without hovering. Our main server, Sam, was awesome and even gave us a free desert since it was our first visit. Thank you Sam!
Over all a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back.

I’ve always loved Bollywood Café in Studio City, and I’m crazy excited for this one to open down the street from me.
As always the food is top notch. My go-​to is chicken makhani and garlic naan. The lunch special portion is quite generous and I actually didn’t get to finish after devouring some tandoori wings and the veggie soup that comes as part of the special.
The staff are beyond polite, some of the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. Muhammad was our server and it was pretty cool that he recognized me as a customer from the other location.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit

Bollywood Indian Restaurant is a destination to experience among the excellent Ventura Boulevard options; this will be one of your top ten. Today, Bollywood is my favorite restaurant. Besides being new, the staff is courteous and accurate. The food quality is one of the best I have experienced not just among Indian restaurants, but among any. WOW! The lentil soup is perfect, and not just flavorful, but also fragrance-​full. The harmony of flavors is perfect to my senses and one that I could not have expected. «Gentle BANG!»
