Service = 4 stars — They were very flexible in scheduling and responded quickly and professionally while pursuing our business. In addition, the owner had a great attitude. Cleaning = 2 stars — The cleaning by Clean House People can use some improvement. FIRSTCLEANING — while many exposed areas were wiped down, there were a number of areas where they did not pick up items and wipe underneath. This included items on the counter in the bathroom, kitchen and living room. There were some dust bunnies left on the floor, unemptied garbage cans left in the kitchen and multiple bedrooms, smudges on several mirrors, and beds that were not made well. I pointed many of these things out and the owner was very responsive to the criticism and asked that I send her an email outlining how she could improve her service next time. SECONDCLEANING — Many of the problems noted the first time were addressed including vacuuming instead of sweeping, however, there was still dirt left on the floor, and there just wasn’t that«just cleaned smell/feel.» Also, they had agreed to fold previously washed clothing as well as wash and dry linen, however, they only folded one load and after«I» had washed and dried the linen, they simply left it on the bed rather than folding it. To offer a balanced review, I’ll say they did fold some of the clothing left for them. They claimed to have rinsed the patio, but when I looked at it, I could not tell that anything was done. Overall = 2 Stars — Long on enthusiasm; short on execution. Despite 2 shaky references(one was a previous co-worker I found connected to the owner on Linked In) the owner won me over with her infectious enthusiasm and professionalism. There are plenty of things to mention that they did not do well, but the place was cleaner after they had left. However, it just didn’t feel/smell/look like the cleaning of our previous cleaning women who had to retire. They promised 2 people could get it all done in 5 hours, but after the last cleaning, they sent me an email stating they would have to raise the price 50% to $ 150 because it took 4 hours to clean instead of 2 ½ hours. I don’t know where 2 ½ hours came from, because it could never take 2 ½ hours to clean a 3 level, 2000 sq foot home. They claimed, having to do some folding and rinse the patio was adding too much time and as a business, they had much more overhead than an individual cleaner. I was happy to get that email, because, it eliminated my having to ask them not to come back.
