My sister and I have been given referrals for tests and several specialists for her condition. Although we have no complaints about any of these, when we met with Dr. Jacobs we both felt that we were hearing the straight scoop. There is a huge value in that alone. He is direct and compassionate and treats his office staff as part of his healing team. I have to recommend him on that alone after only one visit.

Dr Jacobs saved my life. This is a doctor that loves people and hates cancer. He put me in touch with one of the best surgeons in the country, and the top specialist in the field of my particular type of cancer. He is respected among the best. The staff… Kristina and Alex are the perfect compliment to dr. jacobs. They have never failed to promptly do what needs to be done to coordinate records and appointments. Jacobs follows up on my treatment and shares my progress and joy. He encourages me to support others doing battle by sharing my success. Not only does he raise the bar on good medicine, but he inspired me to tell other survivors to accept his quality of care from their physicians. To expect returned phone calls, and to have questions answered clearly. Dr jacobs is a rare breed of physician. We need more like him. He is my rock star. (The bonus is that Kristina never hurts when she takes the bloodwork) I am a very lucky survivor, and I owe it to Dr. Jacobs and his team. Gratefully, His success story

Dr. Edwin Jacobs is, simply, «as good as it gets» when it comes to oncology. My wife(who hates to write Unilocal!reviews and so has commanded me to do it for her) was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2013. Her surgeon recommended that she visit Dr. Jacobs prior to surgery, and she did. From the moment of her first visit, my wife has felt safe and secure under Dr. Jacob’s care. Dr. Jacobs is both compassionate and expert. Cancer is a painful, frightening experience for everyone involved, and my wife’s reaction to her various chemotherapy medications has been intensely unpleasant, but she trusts Dr. Jacobs’ completely and likes him immensely — what more can one ask for?

Dr. Edwin Jacobs is an oncologist. I’ve been seeing him since I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. He administered my chemo in his pleasant Sherman Oaks office and he’s followed my progress ever since. He and his staff are very friendly and compassionate, except the woman at the front desk, who is very… east coast. ;-) She’s a good person and good at her job, but can come across as short and impatient if you don’t know her. I get a kick out of her. Dr. Jacobs is on the cancer panel at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He’s very good and takes his time with you. He’s gentle and caring and I look forward to my visits, even though they have to do blood panels every time — they’re very good at it and I’m SO used to it… Meanwhile, I’m ten years cancer free, knock on wood, this June!
