AVOID THIS PLACE: This office is fraud. My girlfriend and I called the three different websites they have: HERS​MARTCHOICE​.COM, LAMED​ICAL​CARE​.COM, AND HER​CARE​.ORG, they are all the SAME LOCATION. We were told on the phone they would accept her Medi-​Cal for the procedure. Once we got there the receptionist said the doctor will not accept it and charged us for the procedure. We had no choice and paid since we were already there. The office was dirty and the staff was mean and rude. The doctor did not explain anything after taking our money. My girlfriend felt traumatized by the event. We realized after we left the place and read the reviews of HERS​MARTCHOICE​.COM why they had to make three different websites to fool patients to come in. They should be reported

here is my story:
Yes. The website looks appealing. Pink. Safe. A blonde «nurse» (actress) pops up and in a soothing voice explaining how much HerSmartChoice cares. I chose this place because it was the only place that allowed my boyfriend to be in the room with me.
I went into their Sherman Oaks location and walking into the office, its actually a podiatrist office and this abortion doctor is just there on Saturdays. I was told we had to pay $ 200.00 up front for a reason that was unclear, but since we were so nervous about the whole thing, we just paid it to make it a smooth visit. That was our second red flag that we ignored.
Dr. K then gave me an ultrasound (did not watch him put something fresh on the tool that went inside of me) — and confirmed the pregnancy. Then i was offered two different types of abortion pills. One was less money and less effective, the other was more expensive and more effective. «98% effective.» We chose the one that was more effective. It cost an ADDITIONAL $ 450.00. (so now we just paid $ 650. for pills that cost almost half that at other centers.) We were given a random pill from a tiny envelope to take first. After taking the second part of the proxess at home, i went through the worst pain. It felt like an exorcism. I was certain it was over.
I went in two weeks later for a follow up, this time in the East LA location. I walked through a BATCH OF FLIES to get to the sign in sheet. It was a dirty place. Then, after a few routine questions Doctor K casually asked, the ultrasound happened where i found out i was STILL PREGNANT. Now this WAS only 98% effective, but SERIOUSLY?
«So whats next?» — i ask through tears.
«Surgery. Want to get it now? It will only cost half since the first procedure didnt work.»
SO I WAS GOING TO BE CHARGED AGAIN. Most centers will do this at no charge if it didn’t work the first time. I felt uncomfortable and said I couldn’t do it right away and would call back.
But instead, i researched other places. There are A LOT of scary places out there. I happen to go to one of them. After a LOT of phone calls and even visiting places to check out the vibe, i found the BRANDEIS MEDICAL CENTER in Beverly Hills. The doctor there is AMAZING. The center is clean and well practiced. The doctor knew exactly who i saw before i even mentioned anything. Turns out, the pills i was given at HERSMARTCHOICE were not the same pills as i was shown. Nor was i instructed to take them correctly. Dr. Brandeis was so helpful and concerned for me. I highly recommend him. Please dont go anywhere else.
