K9 Loft

I called for an appointment to have my dog groomed. 10:30, ok. But she was shocked that I wanted to leave the dog there and pick her up after work about 4 or 5. «There would be an exttra charge is you left her that long.» Seriously? I’ll find another place that isn’t out just to find ways to kick up the bill.

I have been going here since it opened with my two dogs, one a blind grumpy Chihuahua. Patty, the new groomer there is so experienced, so nice and a true dog whisperer.

I love this place! The staff is incredible from the front desk to the groomers. They know your name when you walk in (or atleast your dog’s name) lol, their prices are amazing and can’t be beat. They actually sell my dog’s food $ 10 under their competitors’ price.
My Belgian Malinois hates getting her nails cut: in the past she would have to have a muzzle on just to let someone cut them. But at K9 Loft she trusts them and allows them to cut them without getting aggressive.
We just moved to Tarzana a few weeks ago but I am going to continue to go here for her nails even if its two cities over.

My pup and I just moved to Sherman Oaks. Anyone who lives in this area knows there seems to be about two grooming salons on every block. This is the second salon we’ve tried since moving to the area.
K9 Loft groomers did the BEST cut I’ve seen on my pup in years. My dog has a really fine coat that tangles easily. Other groomers are quick to take short cuts and skin him like a cat. K9 loft grooming worked his fur out and now he’s going to be turning heads for sure! This is now his regular groomer.

DO NOT even bother with this place. Once again, I have yet to hear back from the owner who has been hiding behind a computer by just responding to my post (since its PUBLIC and he’s trying to look concerned and caring which is the opposite of how he spoke to me on the phone) instead of calling me BACK as he said he would do so to solve this problem. I honestly hope people understand when they take a dog, that its a living/​breathing animal not just an item you have purchased, they would take into consideration the level of seriousness and professionalism this place offers… which is none. Unfortunately, I am going to move on with it legally.

I have been a customer of K –9 Loft for almost 4 years. Their day care is a safe way for him to socialize and play under supervision. The staff is so caring, conscientious and patiently answer all my questions. They have been grooming my dog since he was a puppy — ask for Brandon. My dog, Frankie looks forward to to going and I know he is well cared for and safe.

So really disappointed. They cleaned my cats teeth and after told me he only had a few left from previous tooth pulling surgeries. So for half the job and time, they wouldn’t reduce the price or even give a credit. 155 dollars for 20 minutes of work on 8 teeth. Kind of a rip off and I’ll go elsewhere next time. Customer service and good faith is important still to me. It seemed unreasonable to charge full price.
So here is the update: 5 days after this review, the owner of the business called me personally and discussed my issue.
First off, incredible customer service and commitment to this customers that the owner took the personal time to track me down and discuss my grievance from my Unilocal review. I was really impressed and he really listened and heard my perspective.
He then took measures to resolve matters in a super fair way and I was left feeling that I would easily patronize the business again.
Most businesses wouldn’t go through the trouble and I really feel that I was taken care of and heard for the issue I had.
Lesson: not everyone can have a perfect experience, but customer service brings me back every time. Very impressed and I learned a few things out of the experience too! So thanks!

Do not take your dog here. I was a customer for nearly a year, getting okay service most of the time. In October, I brought both my dogs for a final visit in order to move. Spent nearly $ 200. After I left, I noticed my dogs coughing about three days later. They’d play 3 hours and while I know people said their dogs have gotten kennel here, I’d never experienced it until now. On top of that, both were to be groomed. Again, that three days later, my dogs are inching themselves, scooting and scratching their ears. They don’t do this if they are clean. I could tell then hadn’t cleaned the ears, done their anal glands or properly done their teeth.
I sent Alex and email via their website. They did call me and then explained how they’d not done anything wrong and how my dogs could not have gotten sick there. He said to come back and I said that was impossible since we were moving. I asked for a refund. The phone got disconnected? I sent him another email with no response.
So I filed a claim with my bank. I now am sending them the records of the emails with lack of response. I am so disappoint in K9 Loft. For their prices. Good service and accommodating good customers is what a great business does. They are not a great business. Hopefully I can win this since K9 Loft is unresponsive and rude.

They had the worst condescending attitudes. Louis was my usual groomer and he took perfect care of my dogs, I see why he quit. The 2 girls I talked to there were very snotty with me because one of my dogs was a little matted. I am never going back there again. They could have been a lot nicer to me. Stay clear of the brunette girl with short hair. .she bites.

I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere but k-​9 for dog sitting. Yes, it’s pricey — but it’s clean, no smells and the staff is extremely nice. Except some of the girls paying attention and petting only dogs they like. Luckily there is a new guy — Cole — he seems like a real dog lover– he gives pets to every single dog that’s on the floor. Big thanks to him!
It’s very important to give a little love to an animal since all of them looking at the door and waiting to be picked up — like kids at the day care.

DO NOT trust these people with your pets. My girlfriend has an old and sweet little pug who was unfortunately subjected to their abusive and careless services. They overbook themselves at you and your pet’s expense resulting in your beloved animals being crammed in cages for hours at a time without water. She attempted to notify the owner, but he never called her back. Instead of addressing the problem with his abusive staff, he offered zero resolution and asked her not to return on his reply to her honest Unilocal review. If you truly love your pets, protect them by not ever leaving them at K9 Loft.

Where to begin? I can only try and convey the level of anxiety I get while I separated from my pup. Maui also has separation anxiety from me.
It was my first time on Sunday, I decided to take him because I was going to be gone all day and all night and didn’t want him to be alone for more than 8 hours.
1^st day at daycare is free, which is why I tried it in the first place. Walked in there early at 9am. She got us in right away. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating.
They have a live feed so you can watch your pup the whole time. I have to say I used it majority of my time away from him.
At first he was very timid and shy, waiting by the door, tail down, & pacing as if he were stressed out. When I checked back in he was playing around and constantly moving.
They have someone in their pen the whole time and they clean their «accidents» up right away.
I’ve never seen his tail up while with other dogs. He didn’t sit still the entire time and by the time he get home he knocked out!
I think it’s a great way to socialize him. Facility was clean and staff was really friendly
The prices are reasonable!
I will DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK FOR ANOTHER DAY CARE SESSION.

Never coming back. It was my first visit. Gave them VERY clear instructions. Don’t trim on top of the nose, trim down the ears, trim down the tail, don’t trim his head & make sure you put cotton balls in his ears (my pup had an ear infection).
What did they do?! Trimmed on top of his nose, trimmed down his face, didn’t trim his ears or tail. To top it all off the groomer told me she didn’t use cotton balls and that «she just didn’t get water in his ear.» WTF?! They also didn’t clean the gunk in front of his eyes.
Don’t waste your money or time! This place looks nice on the outside and offers tons of amenities but DOES NOT do a good job at any of them.

Great selection of natural dog food. their prices are competitive. the staff is helpful.
the store is always clean, and they are friendly with your furry friends.

I brought in my two dogs for a cut & wash thinking it’s pricey but I’ll save time and money in the long run but when I brought them home I saw my poodle was coverrrred in shaving cuts on his back and ears and mouth & both dogs were covered in black fleas so we immediately went to target to buy a bunch of flea stuff :/​$$$ which cost a lot and I immediately washed them again — lots of time — and had to launder all of their stuff, I work 8 – 6 so I couldn’t exactly call during business hours and they weren’t that understanding when I called to inform them? I’ve been a long time customer –7 years so I expected a level of customer service but I don’t know if they’ll do anything about it /:

I just created a Unilocal account specifically to let people know how wonderful this place is. I take my dog here every month for his grooming, and they do an absolutely perfect job. I feel safe leaving him here as the staff is friendly, and clearly enjoys being around animals. His hair is always cut perfectly and he comes home happy and handsome! They have a loyal customer here!
If you’re not going to K9 Loft you’re missing out on the best!

Took my pup to get groomed here several times. Initially, I was really happy with the service and grooming sessions. Things started to go downhill after a while. She had a few wonky haircuts, one resulting in her having to be shaved from head to toe. Her last (and final) grooming here was a nightmare.
Upon bringing her home straight from K9’s, we discovered that she was covered in fleas! Called and let them know about the situation. They informed me that there was no one available to do a flea bath. So I asked if they carried their flea shampoo treatment at their store. They said yes. Once at the store, the girls said they didn’t have the standard bottles, just the half-​used jug they use during in-​store flea baths. The workers made this situation kind of awkward and didn’t seem as if they were even trying to provide some type of resolution. Kind of ridic considering I had just paid them for a full bath + groom + tip 30 minutes prior…
Not only that, but the ladies implied that she could have gotten the fleas anywhere and it was unlikely that it happened there. It seems fairly obvious to me that if my dog didn’t have fleas prior to her grooming and was taken directly home after said grooming, there was NO WHERE else she could have got them from.
Lame. Will never take my pup here again.

I’ve been coming here for all my puppy needs even though they Charge More than many other places… because they know how to handle my baby with care, and how to deal with his little man temper issues lol. other than that this place has not provided what I have paid for and its not the first time and when I explain that to them they don’t seem to really care or take into consideration that maybe they should pay more attention to what I’m paying for and how they are not doing the job!!!

1. when I take my chihuahua for his bath they charge $ 28
that’s suppose to include: bath/​cleaning ears/​anal glands… so EVERY TIME I PICK HIM UP his EARS SEEM MORE DIRTY THEN WHEN I DROPPED HIM OFF!!!
I cannot understand why I pay the price they ask BUT I DO NOT GET THE SERVICE this had been the case the last 4 times Im really not happy with this.

Nothing gets me more upset than a liar. The owner just made a comment on my review indicating that the groomer showed me a size chart and I CHOSE how much hair to be cut off based on that. I WAS NEVER SHOWN A SIZE CHART. This blasphemy infuriates me. I would never vouch to cut my dog’s hair that short. and when I mean short. SHAVED with a few centimeters left. Mind you, I could not even recognize my dog when I picked her up. Nor did the cash register person when I picked up my dog.
Also note the confusion with his comment to my review. The note below my original review he wrote was 4÷22÷14 at 2:11pm. I just finished a phone call with him (3pm, almost an hour after he commented my review). I told him that I was never given a size chart to select how much hair to be cut off. He told me it was their protocol for groomers to show clients the size chart and choose how much to be cut off to prevent this «he said, she said,» from happening. Then he requested for my email address to email me the documentation I MAY have filled out and he needs to look for it to check if I did. I was confused because he just wrote that comment on my review almost an hour ago stating that I DID fill out this chart paperwork regarding how much hair to be cut off. WHY WOULD HE WRITE THAT I DID THIS PAPERWORK WITHOUT THE EVIDENCE IN FRONT OF HIM? Dishonest aren’t we? I called him out on it and said, why would you make that a public comment. And then he said that he meant that to be a private message.
If a business is based off of dishonesty, then this isn’t a business that deserves your time or money.
