I have yet to purchase from this location and I probably never will because of the experience I had this past Monday. First off, the only item I was interested was very much over priced. I saw a mermaid tail set in the window that I knew my 2.5 y/​o would love. I went inside to look around (the cashier didn’t even acknowledge me, didn’t even look up when I walked passed her) I saw a few items that I liked but before I left I wanted to ask about the mermaid tails. I approached her saying «excuse me» and all she did was look at me and lift her chin. no «how can I help you» not a «hello» nothing. i guess her chin thing was her way of asking what I wanted. I asked her how much the mermaid tails were and she said «theyre $ 150» and she turned back around. She was extremely rude and showed no interest in assisting me whatsoever. To the owner: Check your schedule and see who was working Monday 05/​30/​2016 at about 1:30 p.m.light skin long black hair, and teach her a thing or 2 about customer service. Ive been in customer service for 4 years and I get it, some times youre just not in the mood but I have never failed to greet a customer kindly regardless of how bad my day is going. its not the customers fault. I also think the mermaid tail was overpriced, im sure amazon will give me the same product without breaking the bank. its a very nice toy store but I will more than likely be visiting their Encino location instead

Great selection of toys. Great prices and they gift-​wrap for FREE! I buy presents for all of my son’s friend’s birthday parties here…

My daughter and I LOVE this toy store!!! We’ve been coming here since it first opened and have since visited the shops in Encino & Topanga Mall too! They carry a large variety of craft kits and ECO-​FRIENDLY toys!!! The staff is friendly and they do free gift wrap!
I feel bad for the staff sometimes because people allow their children to tear through the store, make huge messes and leave them there. But, the staff calmly walks around and picks things up without complaint! Saints in my book!!!
Thanks to the owners of Karen’s for giving us a neighborhood type toy store to enjoy and for the eco-​toy options!!! We’ll keep coming back!

This is my go-​to toy store for buying gifts for kids. Yes it’s a little pricier than say Toys R Us or Target. But they wrap really nicely. They have a good selection from lines like Melissa and Doug. They have lots of cute add-​on type gifts such as Mad Libs, yo-​yos etc. Plus considering it is in a mall, it’s pretty easy in and out, since they are right by Bloomingdale’s on the lower level. Just park in that vicinity. The Encino store is bigger I think. Still, I always manage to find cute gifts here. In general, I feel like they have more options for girls than boys. But don’t worry boys. They’ve got Lego, Hot Wheels etc. Don’t forget the back room too where they have more active type gifts like paddle games as well as a small but good assortment of science gifts. Oh, and I can usually find some decent coupons online to this place. Happy shopping.
