Very disappointed in the SAT results my daughter received after studying with SLAM and their auxiliary associates, Quantum Tutors. My daughter’s score on the second SAT sitting dropped 50 points in Math and her overall score only went up by 30 points. After spending a lot of money (@ $ 95-​$ 125 hour, depending on the session), my daughter feels she wasted a great deal of her time and I wasted my money.

Hello my name is Genna and I am a collage student that attends both LAVC and Pierce community college. I am so upset that I didn’t find them in the beginning of my semester. They usually help student in elementary school and middle school but they promote helping student in high school and college as well. I came here during finals week to help me with statistics and boy am I glad I did! Doug was the stats master and he was real patient going over any questions I had. Not only that, when I came back the next day he had went home and worked on a question we were stuck on and solved it for me. He was really helpful. I’m truly grateful for this place. Helped me pass my statistics class plus understand what I was learning. Like I said before I am a student so money is tight. There hourly rate is only $ 25 an hour. I was there for 3hours, you can do the math, Not a bad price at all to pay to get a passing grade. Also I came in on a Saturday which they have free tutoring/​homework help hours. Definitely going to start going to them in a regular basis to keep my grades up.

We are so grateful to have found SLAM with Nooneh and Doug. We were desperate to find someone who could really help our son with Geometry and be affordable at the same time! We met Doug a few years ago and his genuine passion, enthusiasm and love for math impressed me so much that I saved his flier. So glad I did! Our son is getting the best tutoring with Nooneh and we are so grateful. I can see the relief in his eyes that he is finally «getting it» and I know he will be successul from now on in Math because of this wonderful lady! Best education decision you will ever make for your child! They are beyond patient and guess what, every child will do better with the extra support. They are very flexible and you know you hear all the time, «it’s all about the kids», well they really mean it here!

I saw a huge jump on my son’s Math exam after 2 weeks of tutoring at SLAM! Nooneh and Doug have the knowledge and patience to tutor. What a blessing!

As an educator myself, I know what is required for effective teaching to take place, Nooneh is beyond an amazing educator. She is able to take difficult content and make it comprehend-​able, Before I took a state teaching exam I wanted to freshen up on math, Nooneh was able to break the material down so that I was not hindered by any math anxiety as well as help me shoot for 100% accuracy. I passed with flying colors.
I would recommend any parent who has a child that needs help in school visit the center. The prices at the center are incredibly reasonable and worth its weight in gold. The fact that the center is open every day for homework is so fantastic! Now there is no excuse not to get homework done!

I HIGHLY recommend Nooneh at S.L.A.M. She has an understanding of the brain and how to teach to each individual child’s way of learning I have not seen at any tutoring center yet (we have tried several).
She takes deep personal interest in each student, is flexible, understanding and has a way of drawing out correct work and learning even through the «could have a better attitude» days. :)

We have been taking our 10 year old twins to Nooneh and couldn’t be more pleased. She is an amazing educator and the boys enjoy going to see her. While we call it «tutoring,» she has fun games to enhance what they are working on in school and she helps prepare for their tests, etc. I highly recommend her to anyone in the area whose children need a little extra help!
