My daughter’s Apple iBook G4 laptop was not working. You could hear the hard drive clicking and the desktop would not show up. At first we took it to an Apple store and they would not fix it and did not have the parts, because it was too old they said.
So asking later at Mac Hollywood (who have a great reputation BTW), they recommended I go to Used Mac in Sherman Oaks. So brought it in and saw Mike. He explained that the hard drive was broken and he could put in a new one, upgrading from 60gb to 80gb, and re-​install an upgraded operating system (Leopard) as well as adding Microsoft Works. Estimate parts and labor for $ 130.
Seemed fair to me and I picked it up two days later. He said that he also upgraded the memory from 256mb to 512mb at no extra cost. Gave me back the old hard drive, in case we wanted to salvage some old files. Total cost $ 130. as promised. Mike patiently showed me the various programs that my daughter uses, ITunes, Word, Internet, WiFi, etc. Everything checked out. What can I say. Work done on time, properly done at a most reasonable price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!
