Took my daughter back in August, maybe September to cut her hair into a SUPERCUTE bob, Pam was the one who cut her hair and not only was she very knowledgeable about about her hair type, but she made my daughter feel very comfortable and cut her hair wonderfully! I am taking my son in to cut his hair for the first time today :)

So, that’s the difference between a regular barbershop & a kids salon! Now I see. Unlike you & me, kids they’re not the barber obedient type. So, when I used to take my 2& half years old to regular places, no matter how hard they’d try, my son wouldn’t stay still. So it’d be hard for them to cut the way we’d love. And he’d be scared & crying all the time. Gladys talked with my son for few mins & brought out her magical toy boxes. And she had my son under her spell. My son didn’t bother for a min & everything was done within few mins. I’m glad that I chose to drive from Koreatown to Sherman Oaks for this place. They have few free retro arcades for the dads. A small playhouse & free candies for the kids. Sorry moms, you get only your handsome husbands & cute lil angels :)

I took both my 2 year old and 4 year old here. Gladys and Jenn were amazing they were so sweet to both kids and very professional. My son was a bit nervous at first but they have a box of toys and lollypops, cartoons playing on the television. Both haircuts were perfect my daughter even got cute braids with her haircut. Both haircuts took like 10 – 15 minutes, which is great for all the busy moms and dads. They validate parking and there is street parking available as well.

This place is the best! I took my 7 year old daughter yesterday for the first time and Gladys did an amazing job with her haircut. My daughter was a bit nervous but they gave her a box of toys to distract her while she got her hair cut so that helped. & when I mentioned how much my daughter loves braids Gladys gave her a couple of quick french braids with some hair bows that looked adorable. My daughter loved it and i was one happy mommy. Plus free snacks, water, and arcade games?! what more could you ask for. Will definitely be coming back.

My son was ready to move up from Yellow Balloon and I wasn’t quite ready to take him to an all out adult salon. I heard about this place and decided to give it a whirl. I don’t know if everyone there is as good as Gladys but she is OUTSTANDING. Made my son so happy– edgy, cool, masculine. I’m super happy too. Stoked to find a talented gal I can count on in Sherman Oaks.

Denise is a great stylist. Show her a photo and she’ll match it. Cuts come out looking the way you want them to look and not the way she wants them to look. If she has any questions she won’t hesitate to discuss them with you. She also is great with color. Everyone is friendly, & helpful. Nice atmosphere & love the new décor. I’m a long time customer and have no plans on changing.

My teenage son has autism and haircuts can be a huge challenge. Stylist Gladys has been doing his haircuts for more than 10 years. She is patient and kind, cuts his hair quickly and professionally, and she is very flexible with scheduling. We’re usually in & out of there in under 10 minutes, which is great. I recommend her very highly. Her colleagues are also wonderful and welcoming.

Denise is a gem. I’ve taken my kids to every kids salon in town and Denise is the only stylist who actually delivers an AMAZING hair cut. I have three children, each with entirely different heads of hair and styling needs, and they all come out looking amazing. Paula, the owner, is always a pleasure to see, and the kids’ games and candy never disappoint! I won’t take my kids anywhere else.

I took my daughter here today for her first haircut. She admitted to being a bit nervous beforehand. But when she saw the play house and jars of pretzels and licorice, she settled right in. I was worried that her tangled, curly hair was going to present some challenges. But her stylist Gladys was warm and patient. She gave my daughter a cute cut, while my daughter happily looked through a box of plastic toys. The ladies here have been doing this a while. So they know their stuff and know how to deal with kids. We will definitely be return customers. As for my daughter, she said, «I didn’t like it. I LOVED it.» And she asked if we could go back. Happy mom, happy kid. What more could you want from a kids’ hair cutting place. Oh, they mentioned free donuts Saturday mornings. So if donuts are your thing…

Ok, I know this is a kids salon and some of you might be thinking, what is this grown man doing at this place. Well, long story short, my ex GF was my stylist and we broke up. That left me with no one to cut my hair and wandering from salon to salon, not really vibing any of them. After a while I called a friend and asked where he got his hair cut. He told me he has been seeing Denise at Young Attitudes Salon since he was a kid. His glowing referral had me going against my better judgement and I finally made an appointment. I am so glad i did(Thanks Matt W.) So during school hours the ladies here take adult customers. Dont mind the kids decorations and toys strewn about, because the stylists at Young Attitudes can get down. I met with Denise and showed her some pics of the style i wanted. 20 minutes later, I was a new man with a new haircut. I have received so many compliments on my new cut that its made me feel like a billion dollars! Prices here are very fair and there is plenty of street parking on the side streets north of Ventura. Dont be fooled by the«kids» salon and check it out. Thanks Denise, Paula, and gang. See you gals soon.

A testament to this business my now teenage kids, refuse to go anywhere else(when they really don’t seem inclined to listen to anything PARENTS say). Still loving young attitudes and going there myself.

I have been going here for most of my life(now I’m 24). They always do an amazing job and always know what I want! I have had different ladies here cut my hair and some have moved to different salons but I have always stayed loyal to Young Attitudes. I have been living in San Diego for the past 6 years and come up to LA for my haircuts here because I can’t seem to find someone as great as Denise! Everyone who works here is so friendly and warm! Great place! Although its mainly a kids’ salon it’s great for the whole family! Highly recommended!

I’ve been taking my daughter to Young Attitudes since she was 3. She is now turning 11 and her stylist Pam is expertly(and thankfully) guiding her through the pre-teen hair angst! I too have been getting my hair cut, colored and highlighted there for the past 8+ years and love it. I receive compliments routinely and have referred many co-workers and parents. And Denise & Paula are awesome!

I’m 21 and Pam has been cutting my hair for 10 years. As long as she stays at Young Attitudes, I will never go to one of those fancy-pants LA salons that charges $ 100+ for a cut. My cuts there are great — the day-of blowouts always look top-notch and I routinely get compliments after every time I go in. Pam also always knows how to give me great layers that are still low maintenance — I don’t blow dry my hair practically ever but the layers still look good.
