Had an excellent burger and drink with a side loaded with extras for about eight bucks. An amicable fellow took my order and was more than willing to amend my order when I requested it. Warning, though – they don’t put anything in their boiled cabbage. If you’re looking for some Southern-style savoury cabbage, try somewhere else.

Run down establishment. All the food is fried and dripping in grease. Still using the same menu from the 80s this restaurant is in need of a major facelift! The drinks are big and delicious but the food is not up to par. Very affordable and the food quality certainly reflects the price.

The food took a little long to come out, but it was well worth the wait! I ordered the omelette and the veggies were cooked to perfection! Definitely a place to come back to!!!

Great delicious food made from scratch. The corn relish sour cream and chips were out of this world awesome. The giant turkey leg was juicy and smokey not all dried out like you get at amusement parks. Staff was very friendly. Will go back to try some ribs.

We stopped by for dinner last night and we’re pleasantly surprised by this Diner. It was a quaint little house converted to a restaurant and served home cooked meals. Great value great service and the food was good. We will make the trip again from our town. Keep up the good work.

Grandma’s vinyl table cloths, country curtains, and very cool updated paintings by a local artist(JIV) make this a place that most folks would be comfortable in. We were! The burger and fries were great., the onion rings were spectacular. The fried boudin ball was a bit spicy and yummy and the buttermilk pecan pie was a keeper. The food was very fresh and we nary left a crumb. Service was good and we would definitely eat here again.

Great food and great service! The gumbo was some of the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff make this place worth trying! In town for a basketball game, but when I come back to Sherman, I will eat here again!

My fiancé and I had lunch here on Thursday and dinner here on Saturday if that gives you any idea of how amazing the food is at College Street Diner. EVERYTHING we had was delicious. I can’t remember the last time I said that about a restaurant. The 2 smoked meat plate was huge. I had a half a smoked chicken and a huge portion of pulled pork with fried cabbage and mashed potatoes and gravy. I ate all my stomach could hold plus more and still had enough left for lunch the next day. The fried pickles appetizer is really tasty and a huge portion. The sausage-stuffed deep-fried jalapeños are AMAZING. I could make a meal out of those alone. And the boudin balls are a mouth watering treat. The baby back ribs just fell of of the bone and melted in my mouth. I can’t wait to go again and try more of the menu! The waitstaff and owners treated us really well and were always smiling and checking on us. I can’t say enough good things about this little home town diner. Get there as soon as you can and don’t be afraid to order anything and everything. I haven’t been disappointed and I’m sure you won’t be either.

Raising this great place up to five stars. Becky and Garret have done a great job at this terrific diner. I have been here many times now, and you can’t get better home cooking in Sherman. Their specials are always delicious, they veggies are always fresh, and the service is always wonderful. I don’t give five stars unless a place is consistently good or legendary. Lets hope their working towards legendary!

I visited this new little diner for lunch today and had the ½ smoked chicken, fried okra, and potato salad. Excellent! The chicken was moist and flavorful and the potato salad has just the right amount of seasoning to make it delicious. The okra(and onion rings — okay — I had a few of those, too — were fried to perfection. Well done, College Street Diner. i will definitely be back and will be recommending your restaurant to my friends.

We should have found another place to eat. While working in Sherman for the day a coworker and I decided to check this place out! The food wasn’t worth the money. My plate consisted of 6 extremely large unseasoned butchered slices of brisket, my green beans were cold I enjoyed only enjoyed the sausage and baked beans. My coworker on the other hand had the pulled pork sandwich, ewwwww, the meat smelled horrible and the sauce was watery the only thing she ate was the fried okra… Two stars only because the waitress was nice and tried her best. A lesson learned!!!
