The best suburban qualities are on display at Snyder Park. It is of a medium size, yet the view is incredible. The freeway way below is apparently visible. Synder is on the top of a hill, so some level of physical fitness is necessary. A dog park and some unique features dot the landscape. It was a pleasure to go here. Sherwood is another novel town in my existence. The trees were tall. Hiking should be an option, which it really isn’t, but the view can be found without the hard work, though the view is inferior to, Mount Tabor. It was also very impacted by this season of rain. Synder Park is a fantastic introduction to Sherwood.

Beautiful park with gorgeous views of the coast range and excellent, well-designed playground equipment! A real civic treasure for Sherwood.

Love this park! Go there all the time. Beautiful view of the valley. The kids love to play tennis up there but can get windy.

What a beautiful city park with views of the surrounding area. I’ve always been impressed by the city parks in neighboring Tualatin and Wilsonville, but Sherwood has got it going on too. Located at the top of Sunset Boulevard, this park has a very well maintained baseball field, lacrosse/soccer field with artificial turf and electronic scoreboard, tennis and basketball courts and multiple play structures. The water feature is set up like a stream, rather than a spray ground, and really the entire park was very well designed to provide a little bit of everything for the community. As a venue for watching a game, I loved the gentle slope that provided plenty of seating for parents to either set up chairs or blankets on different levels. Even though it all looks very modern, the park has a nice amount of mature trees to provide shade and a large covered structure for parties and gatherings that is essential for events 10 months out of the year. They even had a concession stand running during our visit so you could buy food and have a picnic. I kind of hope we have more games out in Sherwood.
