Beware of their price match guarantee. It is splashed everywhere in the store and online. BUT they have the right to not honor it at anytime. I bought a dishwasher and within 7 days the price dropped $ 100. So I contact home depot online. Yes they price match. Yes they guarantee their price for 14 days. It has to be from a local retailer. Since I bought in store I would have to go to the store.
So off to the store I go. Simple enough. The price is $ 100 less at the physical home depot store, best buy, and Lowe’s. BUT when I get to the store I am told NO. The store is having a black Friday sale from November 4h to December 2^nd so they will not match the new lower price in the store. What? You won’t match your own price? Was told NO once again and the sales associate showed me the ad saying price match does not apply to current ad.
Then I state, but the dishwasher is not in the ad so while the ad states this my dishwasher is not in the ad. I am then told it still applies.
I then state lets forget home depots price. I want you to match Lowe’s or best buy because your policy is to price match competitors prices. I am told NO once again because they have the right to not honor the price match because of home depots sale. What? That makes no sense. You wont match your store price. Lowe’s price. Best buys price. All because you have a sale going on and in the fine print of the ad it states items are not subject to price matching even though this particular item is lower at 2, not 1, but 2 local competitors AND the item is not even in the home depot add.
Essentially their guarantee is not worth anything. Just buy your appliances at Lowe’s or best buy. I have bought many appliances at Lowes and they have always honored their guarantees, warranty, price match wihtout question. Skip Home Depot. Unless you want to hear excuse after excuse on why they can’t. Plus Home Depot is now charging to haul away your old appliance (free at Lowe’s) $ 125 for a 5 year warranty while only $ 109 at Lowes. Nickle and dime along with a guarantee not worth anything. Home Depot new slogan… You Can’t do it!

Please update your hours on google and Unilocal.We rudely got rushed out by staff right at 9pm — no warning just a push out the door.

Do they have everything here? Yes. Can you ever find anyone to help you? No! I will tell you though that I did have one of the managers that stepped up and helped me one time with the situation that I will call out because he was wonderful and his name I believe was Dominique! I guess if you go in and you push your issue enough and demand to speak to a manager, you can get great help and get your goal accomplished. However, the fact that you have to fight for that assistance is absurd!

Just went to Home Depot garden center to pick up a tomato cage. Wait in line and UPC code won’t work. Jayden tells me that I have to go back and get a new one. There was another worker just standing there by the water bowl for dogs and he would not have her go and get a new one or ask her to go. Said I had to go get one. Get one and have to stand in line and then wait for him to stop texting. Poor service by Jayden now and before. Both workers have poor customer service.

Terrible service at call centers, online and in stores! Shocking they are still in business!

Ordered a custom bathroom counter and were told it would be two weeks. Two weeks we get a call it’s ready. They didn’t open the box but we decide to do it ourselves at the store to make sure it’s the correct one. Upon opening we see that the sink bowl is cracked! And the box it came in had shoe prints all over it! So without thinking too much about it we go ahead and proceed to have them order a new one at no charge which again will take about two weeks. This time we get a call saying that the counter is in but this time they opened it and found it was broken. They told my husband that it’s very common with custom sizes to receive them broken. And these products don’t come padded whatsoever, and there is no fragile sign on them. By now we are irritated that this is the 2^nd time they have screwed up and we question why they didn’t open to check the first box if they claim that it’s normal for custom orders to come in broken. They asked if we wanted to try to process the order a 3^rd time or get our money back with no offer for a discount after their screw up and our wasted time! No thanks, we’re no longer supporting their business.

Great service from employees. I had to figure out how to fit something big and unwieldy in my car… the employees were super accommodating and even helped me disassemble it so it could fit in my car in pieces.
This store also seems to have a good handle on inventory and stocking stuff the other local stores don’t have.

I’m leaving 1 star because the cashier was kind enough to explain the answer I needed to me. However, Mika, was completely rude to me when I asked my question. She has a terrible bed side manner and brushed me off twice. Save yourself the hassle and go to Lowe’s instead! You just lost my business Home Depot because of Mika and in today’s tech age of social media I will post negative reviews everywhere.

Don’t waste your time with Home Depot window department when Jerry is working. Especially if you are a female who actually needs expert advice. Jerry will do his best to make you feel like you are stupid and incompetent. Horrible experience. Sexiest jerk.

Comparing to a few other Home Depots in the area, the one in Sherwood seems to have the most friendly staff. I usually shop in the mornings and try to avoid the weekends. I like to get in and out especially on nice days when all the weekend warriors are shopping for their projects.
Arriving at Home Depot at 11am, quite late for me… I thought…. ‘What are all these people doing here on a weekday… oh! …It’s Saturday’. Sunny day. The parking lot almost full and I needed a lot of heavy items. I thought this will be a while. Trying to find some to help, getting things loaded in the truck. Heavy sigh !
Maybe just good timing on my part… I have to say I was out of there within 25 minutes. Before the cashier (in the garden area) rung-​up anything, she called at staff member for loading my items… and before I ran my credit card the young man was waiting for me. I pointed to my truck and off he went to load everything. He was very friendly, courteous and definitely know how to load a truck.
The only negative experience I have had so far was the annoying vendor salesman. He first approached me in the roofing area, then again four isles later… and again in the garden section. He blamed the last encounter on that he had taken his glasses off. Really ! ?? There were not many people in the store at this time and he really should remember who he talks to. Did I mention he was annoying !!

So disappointed in Home Depot. I have been in multiple times with uncomplicated do-​it-​yourself projects and have not gotten a usable piece of advise. I have been relying on You Tube. This location is overstaffed with people who have very little knowledge in the fix-​it or build-​it yourself field. I stood in an isle with my 3 children and 2 dogs for 25 minutes waiting for the «expert» to come help me. Needless to say I could not wait any longer and the multiple employees who passed me kept telling me «Oh if somebody is already helping you I’m sure they will be here shortly.» Such a appointment. Nothing I have done should be beyond a «home Improvement» store employees knowledge. My projects included: Bathroom remodel, kitchen cupboard staining, building a closet, hanging sheet rock, building a chicken coop and other random projects. I am incredibly thankful for You Tube. Seriously. Robert M. Your review was spot on.

Very well organized and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help explain how to do things and what you need to buy. They dont try to upsell you and give you an hone opinion every time I have been there.

Remember the days (oh, say 20 years ago), when Home Depot was filled with super knowledgeable employees (like former contractor types), and had staff everywhere, just anxiously waiting to help you? I do, and I miss it.
It’s tough to give a good rating when the one item you need is 30 feet off the ground and there’s only one guy in the store who can operate a forklift to get it down.
I could go on, but I would just be whining, and anybody who’s stepped foot in a Home Depot already knows what the review will be like.

This store is great, and it is the closest one to my house. This review is actually about their customer service and billing department. Here is my story but the quick version is they saved me thousands of dollars in interest by taking a human approach to their billing department.
I bought a AC unit over a year ago and received 18 months of interest free financing. This was great for me, I had received a bunch of HD gift cards from my wedding and it made sense for me to get the AC unit. Installation was great and everything worked perfectly. Fast forward to 18 months later and I had forgotten that my promotion was coming due. I received my statement electronically and to my horror, I was charged $ 1,283.45 in interest because I hadn’t paid off my entire promotional balance within the 18 month time frame.
A panicked phone call to customer service, and the representative had me calmed down in about 1 min. She explained that these things happen and as long as I could pay off the remaining balance within 10 days, I would receive a credit back for the interest that was charged. She said once I had paid, to call back in and request the credit. I have paid it off and called in to get my credit, they have assured me that I will see it back on my statement in 1 to 2 cycles.
I will amend this post if I don’t see the credit, thank you Home Depot for not punishing a human mistake. I really appreciate that!

Let’s be honest here… I don’t actually like the Home Depot. I get instant anxiety when I walk through the doors (kind of how M describes craft stores).
While I certainly appreciate smaller non chain stores, sometimes a visit to the Home Depot is required. I come in a few times a year, most recently for lighting, they had 3 fixtures I liked that were in stock and are now installed. The employees are helpful. Although I do not enjoy visiting this store, I certainly appreciate they are they when I need them. Done and done.

I shop here a lot as I feel like I’m always fixing something at home or working on some crazy project. Well, Home Depot is a great place to grab whatever I need (most of the time) for whatever I’m doing. The only reason I wouldn’t go so far as a 5 star rating is on more than one occasion the staff has left me scratching my head. Picky me right? Well, whatever. One time we were looking for an item and so we asked an associate who promptly told us they didn’t carry it. Literally 10 seconds later I found the exact item on the shelf about 10 feet away. Another time I asked someone where to find an item and he told me that it didn’t exist, essentially I had made said item up. I pulled it up on my phone, showed him pictures and descriptions (one from Lowe’s) and he just said well, we don’t have it.
I understand it’s a huge store. I don’t expect everyone to know it all but before you tell a customer it isn’t in inventory or doesn’t exist, at least have the courtesy to double check? maybe? Oh well. A couple of iffy experiences out of the dozens I’ve had here doesn’t kill a review. Just makes me think twice about asking staff… I now treat it more as a scavenger hunt.

Usually such a helpful experience and then this morning. Simply looking for a hand saw and so I finally ask. The woman/​clerk does not say a word and points to the aisle where it is supposed to be, but what do you know it’s not there and instead of coming over and telling me she made an error she yells across the department I don’t know– you’ll have to keep looking. However horrible! This experience was the gentleman that cut the wood for me was extremely nice and made sure the pieces were even. Thank you to him for helping me make the stand for our wedding cake. It was much appreciated.

This is my favorite Home Depot in the Portland area. It’s never too busy, the employees are just the right amount of helpful (not too pushy and not non-​existent) and the layout of the store is perfect (no — not all Home Depots are built the same). My husband and I own a construction-​related business so we go to Home Depot quite often. The Sherwood location just added PRO trailer parking spots near the front of the parking lot — I love it!

I have to give some love to this Home Depot because their employees are so gosh darn helpful. It’s a little awkward because I usually want to hug them or pinch their cheeks for always going above and beyond for us. Luckily I have some self restraint (not a lot) and this hasn’t happened. YET.
Case in point, on our last visit we were asking about a plant. The employee on duty said she hadn’t heard of it, but the person who normally works in that area was on break. She said she would call her or find her to ask and then come find us, so we could continue our shopping. And she did just that. Turns out they didn’t have it, but the effort was appreciated.
This Home Depot seems to be better stocked than the one on Sequoia in Tigard as well. The Tigard one didn’t have the grill we wanted but suggested we call the Sherwood location. They had it and it was ready and waiting for us when we showed up. We usually just head to this one now for the better selection.
The store is always spotless and they are really good about safety and using spotters when moving merchandise through this ginormous space. You’d be surprised how many examples I have come across of places not doing this.
You better watch yourself Home Depot, I might just be pinching your employees’ cheeks next time. Please don’t arrest me.
