Unleashed by Petco

We stopped by yesterday for some advice on the Blue cat food. Krysten was tremendously helpful and was super nice. We really appreciate her time to talk to us about the many different cat foods. Fingers crossed that the barfing ends!

I really appreciate the kindness you showed to my daughter and her church youth group when they came in to purchase some pet food for a friend who’s parents had lost their jobs. They were so worried that their friends pet would go hungry and that they wouldn’t have enough money to get the food.
I was so happy to hear that your staff was so kind to them when she got home. Not many places would be able to handle hoard of tween giggly girls and meet their needs. I appreciate your patience with them!

We have two dogs and two cats, so we can be relied upon to resupply regularly with pet food, treats and accessories. This is a relatively small shop but a good economy of space. I was pleased with the service and attention I received, and purchased the supplies I sought as well as a few impulsive items (treats). I’m told the shop has only been in operation for two months, and we’ll see how it develops. I normally shop at an other location, but I enjoy exploring. I didn’t see any irresistible bargains, but I did leave with $ 20 worth of chew-​toys and treats.

What a farce. They poke fun at local businesses, make jokes about putting them out of business, have employees that can only recite corporately dictated spiels instead of having actual self-​taught education about food and supplies, and point in the general direction of where items are rather than walking you to them.
Based on the talk around town, they are the red-​headed step child of business. I will continue to patron the local businesses I have used since moving here seven years ago. They know me by name, they care about what I need, and they do not bad-​mouth the other businesses in town, even in retaliation.
This store is literally across the street from my house, and I would not step foot in there again if they were the last pet store around. Do not come to my little town, hire people who are not local, talk trash about the business owners, and expect me to hand over any of my hard earned money. It is still going to go the places that treat me with respect, not the place that wants to be Top Dog by trying to run other, established businesses out of town.
BTW, they are NOT cheaper than the local stores just because they are «big box». Also the quality of the food is in the sub-​par category. I typically won’t shop at a pet store that sells the same food a grocery store carries.
