New Years Eve early dinner with a party of 6.disappointed. Steak came out raw twice and one dish was missing the potato. Waitress was apologetic«not her fault» Kitchen was having a bad night I guess. Nothing special and my husband paid for a dinner he didn’t get to eat with our party. First visit was great. Something has changed here! Skip this BYOB for a while till they can get it right.

Return visit was a success. Great service — Thank you Lisa! Filet mignon was superb as were appetizers, sides and desserts! Could become a regular stop for us.

Great menu and very good atmosphere. All of our dishes were substantial, tasty and good value. I’d recommend the onion bisque. We also had a very good Caesar salad, the seared tuna, filet mignon, and chicken Gabrielle. The byob opportunity is great.

Food was mediocre at best, and expensive. Tuna entrée and blue cheese steak not good. Childrens chicken parm was awful. Bisque itself was not good either. Service was very good.

this used to be one of our favorite LBI restaurants. It has really declined over the last year and it is sad to see. First a disclosure, we loved Bisque so much we went once or twice a month. But lately we find it in decline. They still have some wonderful dishes. But what you order is not what you get. For example they have a wonderful appetizer that has various cheeses, nuts, fig jam and honey. It was so good we started copying it at home for guests. I ordered it during our last visit. It came out without the honey. The sweetness of the honey and the fig jam really make the dish. We asked about it and our server asked the kitchen. We were told ‘the kitchen says that’s the way we serve it now. If you want to special request the honey we will do it.” So, we did. The honey was put in a blob in the middle of the plate. So much for drizzled. By the way, the menu description includes«drizzled honey». I guess if you want what is on the menu, it is a special order. Almost the exact same thing happened on a visit earlier this summer. They have a wonder cheese fritter appetizer that it a soft cheese ball encrusted in a nutty surrounding served over a green salad. Again, a favorite. Now it is served as a cold cheese ball(single instead of two). I don’t know where they learned about culinary preparation, but, a fritter is cooked(fried usually). So they changed the prep method and now the dish doesn’t match the menu. Seeing a pattern? Hopefully, Bisque will right itself and get back to the days of interesting, excellent quality food. But maybe that will require new kitchen staff or at least someone who reads the menu.

Went with my family for dinner recently and was very underwhelmed by the food. High prices for bland food. If I am going to spend $ 100 for dinner I want to be wowed or at least stuffed when I leave. The kids menu is a joke. 8 bucks for a microwave pizza. I have been to a lot a lot of good places on the island and with expectations high this place was a huge dud.

I visited Bisque for the first time last night with my family. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated. Our server, Britney, came right over, took our drink orders and answered any questions we had about the menu. I found her to be knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to our needs and more that willing to accommodate any special requests we had regarding our food. I had the Chicken Gabrielle, my wife had the halibut, my son had swordfish and my daughters had the Ribeye steak and chicken parm. My entire family agreed that the food was EXCELLENT. The previous statement should not be taken lightly, I have NEVER been able to say that before. Every entrée was cooked and seasoned perfectly, portion size was also perfect. Entrée prices ranged between $ 30-$ 40 or so, which is slightly higher than most of the places our family dines at but the quality of the food more than justifies the price. I found the décor to be pleasant and the entire staff to be friendly. If I had to pick something that could be improved, I would say the noise level in the restaurant was slightly high for me. Granted, the restaurant was full, but it took a little more concentration on my part to hear what others were saying around the table and it also seemed the servers had to raise their voices somewhat to be heard. Overall, my dining experience was outstanding, I’m already trying to figure out my entrée choice for my next visit.

Food and service were exceptional. The lobster bisque was the best I’ve had. Clams casino was top shelf. All 6 entrees were excellent. Décor and ambience were just right — neat and casual.

We arrived at this restaurant around 8:30pm on a Thursday night and it was full! Luckily we were sited pretty quickly. The restaurant was empty by 9:30pm when we were leaving. If you need to get there for dinner time(6−7pm), I would recommend a reservation. We opted for 4 appetizers no entrees for 2 of us. We got 1) fried goat cheese salad(super delicious! Goat cheese was pecan crusted and fried — it was still warm when it was served, the dressing was also amazing!) 2) lobster bisque — it was delicious, but a little too sweet to my taste. A note of lemon would make it perfect! 3) sesame crusted tuna appetizer — it was served cold, rubbed with smoked paprika which was a nice addition to sesame seeds 4) rice balls stuffed with mozzarella cheese — they were too hard outside and the inside had no taste. They were served with marinara sauce that tasted the same as out of a jar. We also got tartufo for dessert — there was a raspberry jam instead of a cherry inside — it was an interesting note. Overall, out of 5 dishes, I loved 1, 3 were good but nothing to write home about and 1 was poorly made. I don’t think I’m going back to that restaurant — there are so many great not just good places to eat at! Almost forgot to mention — the dipping oil served with bread was amazing! Lots of garlic and herbs and I love garlic! The service was good.

Since I cannot say enough good things about our dining experience and this restaurant, I am going to keep this review short and sweet. The staff was fantastic and the food was delicious. Could possibly be one of the best restaurants in LBI. Plus it’s a BYO!

The food was 4 stars and hospitality was 1… Our reservations for the party of 7 was for 6 o’clock and at 7:45pm when we asked for a desert menu, we were told that there was no time for desert because another party was reserved for our table at 8 pm. When I went directly to the manager, she confirmed it and was completely unapologetic. And that’s considering the fact that we were actually celebrating my mother’s birthday. Granted, 3 people in our company were late, but they ordered their entrees quickly and food came out quickly. I have never been pushed out the restaurant before. So that’s why I’m writing my first ever Unilocal review

Visited LBI for the weekend, from Staten Island. I enjoyed my dinner at Bisque– fair sized portions at prices I would expect for a BYOB ‘upscale’ restaurant. Definitely added to my list of places I would like to return to. Try the clams casino, and that fried tortilla/banana/ice cream dessert.

Food was ok at best. The risotto that accompanied my fish was gross. The fish itself was not fresh. The crab meat was out of a can. I would not come back.

Found this place on Unilocal and glad we did. Our waitress Brittany was courteous, knowledgeable about the menu and the food came out quickly. Menu was perfectly sized, not overwhelming. It’s a BYOB so the cost of our meal was minimized. It’s located right next to Joe Pop’s. Would definitely come back.

Oh boy what a complete disappointment Needs a major makeover Looks like an «early bird» atmosphere — please update everything Fair service at best(but with good intentions) Very nice food but almost everything else is just not good — just really not good Way too many other options that have better food, better service in a much better atmosphere. Only if you are desperate.

This is a terrific restaurant for a family dinner. We came in 7 strong and the staff did not skip a beat. BTW, parking is pretty easy to find around the area. I started with lobster bisque because, ya know, its the name of the place! It was absolutely amazing and you need to order it. While you wait for your food you receive the obligatory bread and butter but Bisque also brings out some olives. The Greek in me greatly appreciated it. For dinner I ordered red snapper oreganato with crab meat, which was one of their specials(always order a special!). It was great; you can tell they know how to prepare fish. I almost wish I had the snapper first because I was still savoring my lobster bisque. I had crème bulee for dessert which was good but not among the best I have had. I wish I could have had lobster bisque for all three courses, but everything else was still very enjoyable.
