Best jelly donut on the planet, yes!!! My family orders a dozen donuts from here every year, and they are just so delicious. I like to split a jelly and a Boston cream, best of both worlds! We’ve never tried any of the sandwiches or lunch, but I really can’t imagine they aren’t amazing. We’ve always had really nice service and they are patient while my daughter takes her time to order her donut. Already looking forward to next year’s visit!

This bakery claims to have the best jelly donut on the planet and they are not wrong. A raised donut that was light and airy and so full of delicious fruit that it was like eating a donut pie. Many other treats looked tempting too.

Would try for 2.5 stars if I could. Been to ferraras a few times. What brought me here first was that it was the closest food and beverage place to the beach house, and I love small, local bakeries… and breakfast sandwiches are my favorite thing! First time I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a donut… the breakfast sandwich was definitely tasty and the donuts from what I have had are flavorful, puffy, have a nice bite. I recommend these two things. Last few times I ordered coffee, though, and it was not the best quality and definitely burnt in flavor. Yuck. Sad. Unfortunately, last night I tried something new-cold sandwiches. I feel ripped off. I paid ten dollars for one slice of each meat and cheese on my Italian sub… I was really looking forward to trying an Italian sub from An Italian deli, but I won’t be trying anymore of their sub style sandwiches. $ 20 of my good money is leaving me hungry for a more satisfying meal and disappointed that my fondness for this place has faded.

The food is great but I only go there during the off season because it gets too crowded during the summer, the line goes out the door and the wait is too long. I see a lot of customers leave because of the wait .They really need to get a bigger place, they would do a lot more business. But if there is no line I recommend you to stop and have a sandwich or donut they are great. I would give it more stars if there wasn’t such a line and long wait.

If you are on the island, you MUST, try Ferraras Bakery! For certain it is the best bakery on the island! Their jelly doughnuts are amazing, so much jelly!!! They have a little something for everyone! The smell alone makes me weak in the knees! Go now! Enjoy!

Walked past here yesterday without any intention of going in, but there was a sign outside that read ‘Best Jelly Donuts On The Planet’!!! Oh yeah??? Walked right in and ordered a peanut butter and jelly, a classic jelly and a maple bacon donut… took them home in a box to my wife and ate them like two little kids… They may be the best donuts I’ve ever had! You gotta try this place!

This is one of our favorite spots to ride our bikes to in the morning. We get coffee and the kids get amazing home-made doughnuts.

Have to go all the way on this bakery café; awesome donuts no after taste at all, great ice cream, we came here every night for treats and ice cream and were never disappointed. They say greatest jelly donuts on the planet, it is a fair argument but the custard donut is as good or better, also awesome crumb bun

This is a decent place. They are one of few places that are open early 7am to late 11pm. Decent donuts, god breakfast sandwiches, really nice cannoli. Havent tried the lunch menu items but they have a good selection. I wish they had better coffee to go with bfast.

The donuts were good, jelly and cinnamon, excellent. The girl at the counter needs a personality. Every other store or restaurant on the island had cheerful, friendly employees, not here. She was a drone.

Best Jelly Donut on the Planet That’s what Ferrara’s advertises. Whether true or not, it’s genius. I probably would have never come here if they didn’t have that on the sign out front. I don’t know if it’s self proclaimed or not. Regardless, it got me to come in. I’ve been coming to LBI for years and have always remembered this place having that sign out front. Truth be told, I’m not the biggest Jelly Donut fan or even that big a donut fan. My wife and I came in here late one night and the jelly donuts were $ 1 which is incredibly reasonable. I did think the donut was decent but I don’t think I can endorse them for having the best on the planet. Clearly, someone out there disagrees with my assessment. It was good, just not life changing. Quietly, LBI has almost become a hidden donut«mecca». You have Shore Good Donuts in Ship Bottom, the new Shore Good Donuts in Beach Haven, Ferrara’s in Ship Bottom and the new Dunkin’ Donuts in Ship Bottom right when you enter the island. If you’re a donut lover, you’re going to love LBI.

Make your journey to this special little place of heaven. Start with and iced espresso, follow with egg, Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a soft delicious fresh roll. Continue on with an apple fritter bear claw, gooey cinnamon roll with raisins, Boston crème donut, or a world famous cinnamon jelly donut. You won’t be disappointed.

They claim to have the best jelly donut on the planet. I would disagree in my own taste with that claim. However, the other flavors of donuts we tried were delicious, Boston cream, glazed. My husband had a plain croissant, and said it was great and very fresh. The donuts here were not heavy or greasy at all. Very good.

I never tried every donut on this planet but I would say its the best donut I have ever had in NJ. That’s saying a lot since NJ is known for making very good donuts especially in North NJ. Breakfast sandwiches are the best as well; not too much meat everything just right. I wish they would take credit cards and be open all year long and all day long. I do wish they would make powdered cream donuts with the Boston cream. The white cream is yuck. But you can custom order your donut if you call ahead. Nice staff!

If you are looking for the perfect apple fritter the size of a frisbee look no further. The chocolate peanut butter jelly sounds over the top and it is over the top delicious. Looking for a jelly doughnut? These folks were voted number one in the star ledger. It’s a drive to get there and often congested in the areas but I think they are worth it. Bring your own coffee though it mediocre at best and patience Bc many people know the deal here and the lines reflect the fanaticism.

We lived 3 houses away for a week, and loved being so close to this store. The ice cream was good, baked goods excellent, but the one time I got coffee it was terrible — don’t every buy coffee that«sits» on heat. Heat destroys coffee in something like 17 minutes, I’ve read. It should be immediately stored in a non-heated vessel(like a big thermal carafe, like in QuickChek/Wawa). One morning I got an egg/cheese/sausage sandwich, and the fresh-baked roll made it very good.

The sign advertising — Best Jelly Donut on the Planet caught my wife and I’s eye… so we had to stop in. It was bustling for a Saturday morning. The selection isn’t very extensive(donuts, pastries) since the place is pretty small(no tables to eat inside but a few outside). We decided on 2 donuts: PB&J and apple cinnamon. The PB&J was average. Nothing compared to Donut Plant. The jelly inside was too thick and lumpy. They slathered the PB on top and it was overboard. The ratio was off — says the Mrs. I agreed and it didn’t stop me from polishing it off. The apple cinnamon fared better although it was drenched in cinnamon sugar. The staff was all business and barely cracked a smile. A byproduct of a busy Sat morning I guess. Prices were inexpensive in my opinion. 2 donuts for $ 2.50 is a steal. There is parking but it fills up fast. Is it worth a stop in? Of course. Just to try but not a return trip for us.

I have been going here for years, mostly for ice cream and fried oreos after dinner. And before I forget, go get those friend oreos, made fresh any time someone orders them. Anyway, I remember my son, who was here a few weeks comment on the donuts. I went in to grab a cold drink before hitting the beach and the jelly donuts were calling my name. No really, the were screaming at me. So I bought one. The sing outside says«Best Jelly Donuts on the Planet». They might be right. Later on, my son texted me and said the have a «jelly» donut filled with cupcake crème. That might be too sweet for me, but he wants a box when I leave.
