OK for a department store for the area. Lots of fabric, big with the quilters who come to town. I wish the grocery store across the hall was still there. We would stop when in town to get snacks and groceries.

Loved the store. Had what we were looking for in shoes. Excellent service and a great variety of shoes. Will go back.

I only shopped for fabric here and it was just amazing. I mean I kept finding all kinds of things I just adored. My husband was with me which was so different but great for having someone to hold all my selections. He was glad to be here also as I picked out everything I wanted for my Christmas stocking, he is basically done 6 months early! We were smack dab in the middle of Amish country so the solid fabric selection was the absolute best I have ever seen, natch! And having Mennonite women help me just made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to come back here and buy more fabulous fabric!

OK, it’s not that Yoder’s isn’t cool. It is really cool. It’s a huge Amish department store in the middle of a an Amish strip with everything from clothes and shoes to food, fabric, hardware, kitchenware and toys. There’s a line of rocking chairs down the center of the place where you can sit and watch people for hours. It’s bustling and busy and you really have to go there just to experience the place. The problem I had with the place was the enormous mark up on everything. We found items there that we’d bought elsewhere for a third of the price. And I’m not talking about handcrafted Amish goods: I’m talking about made in China stuff. It just wasn’t worth it. That said, I got an über cool fuzzy hat there, pumpkin fudge, fabric for a shirt and other cool stuff. But the funniest part were the electric Christmas decorations. Nuf said?
