The foods is alright but the staff is extremely unfriendly and seem miserable working there. Delivery person is almost 10x worse.

i freakin loveeee this place for sandwiches. its deffly the best in town and not to mention the subs are hooked up and stacked with toppings and meat. theyre never frugal with the condiments like oil and vinegar or mayo either. its certainly my go to lunch spot locally and if you havent tried it, go be surprised!!! p. s.THEYDELIVER, and yes the egg sandwiches are bomb too !!

I’ve had sandwiches in the past from this place and they’ve been pretty good, but this time I never even got my sandwich made. It took so long I finally had to walk out without it.

The size of their heroes is great, you can have half and be full. The people are nice but if you don’t call ahead you will have a wait. They are a bit slow. That said, I like the place and will go back often.

The food isn’t too bad. I’ve been here three or four times in the last two months, and I the sandwiches have been good. I love the Italian Stallion hero. That being said, they are as slow as molasses in winter. I’ve waited 20 minutes for a cold hero. That’s ridiculous. I’ve been to delis near my job that get you in and out in half that time even with the line out the door. They need to pick up the pace or hire more people. Don’t eat here if you have any place to be at any particular time.

Wednesdays are $ 5 foot long heros. If you get a punch card, your tenth hero is free!

They have okay Heros. TJs has much better Heros in my opinion. When I had my Heros from this place, the bread was hard.

This place is terrible ! I made the mistake of giving them a chance and I should not have. I waited 20 mins, literally 20 mins, for a grilled cheese and a hero to be made. They had a catering order that they were busy working on so I guess the other people and myself were not as important. The Hero was ok(according to the person eating it) and my grilled cheese was the worst I have ever had. It literally was bread(no butter added before hand) with a slice of cheese cooked on the grill next to the eggs. Please walk, fly, hitchhike to TJ’S if u have to. Stay far away. I have no clue how they are still open. The place, might I add, has empty rows of shelves and the service is lousy. If you don’t trust me take a browse inside. Don’t waste your money though.

Best general tsaos chicken I have ever had. Cream cheese wonton are legit too. Make sure you asked them about their special of the day. I had the chicken. It was great.

Hate to write a review like this but i have to warn people so this does not happen to them. They must use a cheap wire brush to clean the pizza oven. I got a piece of the wire stuck in the back of my throat. Almost had to go to the hospital to remove it but i got it out a day later with tweezers. If i would of swallowed it i would of needed surgery. So make sure if you still want the pizza that you inspect it and chew it good. Hopefully the owner see’s this and buys a better brush before he gets sued

As I live just around the block from this local sandwich and pizza shop my family and I have checked it out a few times. Overall the sandwich selection is great. A wide variety of options and those I’ve tried have all been quite good. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and you get a big portion for the price. They also do pizza which is quite good. Nothing special on the menu in this regard, but the basics that they have are well made and quite tasty. If there was one way this place suffers it would be service. There is never a lack of workers in here and while they are usually busy with a lot of orders it would seem with the number of people that they would be able to get the food out faster. But seeing as the food is good I will continue going back even though the service could be a little quicker.

I have been going to Hero Haven for about 4 years 2 times aweek or more. The hero’s are decent but the pizza is way below par. The staff does not greet you in any manor except; what do you want? The owner is gangster like and the staff following suit. There is always alot of employees but, service is slow and rude. They would rather check their phones than pay attention to you. There seems to be no leadership. The manager has to power to help customers when a problem does array. As such as with me the other day. I had order a slice of red velvet cake, first they tried to give me the one that was already packaged up and gave a problem when I asked for a slice from the fresh one on the counter. Saying it was the same thing, SORRY I LIKEFRESHNESS .When they package the slice up he puts the fork right on top of the cake so the whole handle got messy. When I started to eat the cake I got 2 strands of long hair embedded in the cake. I called up and spoke to the manager she said she was not authorized to give me the $ 4.00 credit and would have to speak to the owner. When I called back and spoke to the owner, 1 to get my credit and 2 to make him aware that there is a problem with the cake. he told me that I am the first to complain and he would not check into the matter. He does not make the cake on the premises, so my question to him where do you get the cake and do the have a license to sell unpackaged goods? he proceeded to hang up on me. I called back an employee answered and said the owner does not want to speak to me and then hung up on me. So now I just won’t go there anymore, not that I enjoyed going there to begin with. I wanted to help make a business in the area.

Excellent heroes and their boneless wings are among the best I’ve had. Pizza is mediocre at best. Slow service is the only complaint, but the quality of their heroes makes up for it

Heroes are salty as all hell, but their grocery selection is oddly weird for such a place. TJ’s blows this place outta the water for heroes, and I was too scared for anything else.

Blasting the Beatles on shuffle(alright, maybe it was M5) and donning a tie, I felt immediately emasculated when I pulled into this blue-collar establishment, the rest of the customers sporting dirtied work clothes. As expected, when I waltzed in, I was shot a sidelong glance and a quick«you gonna order?» demand from one of the folks behind the glass display. «No, not yet», I replied, looking around at the neighborhood spot packed with regulars. Their patience constantly dwindled as I perused the pizzeria/ice creamery/deli space, their options 98.96% meat-heavy and thus not for me. Deciding against a tuna sandwich because my Entertainment coupon was for BOGO heroes, I fled this hard-nosed joint fast as I arrived.

Damnit… If Dan T. steals another«First to Review» from me, I’m gonna cry. Still, I agree with everything he said. Everyone that works here is a little bit scary… Other than that, the heros are a good size and tasty. They make a bunch of speciality sandwiches and salads(fresh mozzerella & mushroom salad = yum). I hear the pizza is good, but I’ve never tried it. Prices are about what you would expect for a place like this. The BEST thing about this place is the HUGE candy selection. They have some of the newest and rarest candies! This sounds silly, but I’m totally being serious. For example, Honey Flavored Altoids? I’ll try some of those, please.
