May Garden

So sad. This place changed over to owners that seem to not care. I never once had a problem years ago and this was my go to Chinese delivery place. I’m sad to say, I needed to go elsewhere. Too bad really, the former owner Dave, was really nice. A few times, when they were really busy, he would make deliveries himself. With these new owners, you can tell they can care less about running a good business, let alone, running a business at all. Sad.

Food is a little greasy. The counter help, is rude.
I ordered 2 soups, 2 egg rolls and 2 sodas ~ first of all that came to 14 dollars… um okay. I asked for housemade mustard and soy sauce. I got tasteless mustard and one packet of soy sauce.
I gave it a try 3 times, and each time has been disappointing.

DO NOT EAT HERE. We found a roach kind of bug in our food today. The employee that works the front desk/​cashier area is unprofessional, rude, and carries this miserable to be alive face. I plan to throw this food on their counter tomorrow. We will never eat here again! I put up a picture of this disgusting bug! Spread the word!!!

I go to this place every so often. Best chicken and broccoli! Definitely recommend. Food is always on time and I’ve never had to wait too long. Shrimp lol mein is on point as well. Love this spot!

This place is really good but it’s hit or miss. Some days it’s amazing and some days it’s made totally different and very bland. Really great steamed dumplings, yummy chow fun and general tso’s chicken is great!

Expensive for mediocre Sushi. But for Sushi that delivers in my area, this is the only option

I looked up «sushi» and this was the closest place, so I gave it a try. I got so excited, I thought I was going to a buffet-​like place and would be able to try sake. WRONG. It’s just a regular Chinese food place. No sake.
The staff were friendly. My sister and I got a Rainbow Roll and a Rock N Roll to stay. They were both OK. It was just plain sushi put on a Styrofoam plate. At least it was fresh sushi.

This place is horrible. Some of the worst attempts at basic Chinese/​American dishes Ive seen to date. Their sister location in Yaphank is just as bad.
Spend the 2 minutes it takes to drive (in any direction) down the road to the next chinese food joint you see.

I love this place been coming here for years and I love there sesame chicken the best in suffolk sorry no one comes close to making it this good… and there new sushi menu is very good as well… I told my gf about this place and she was like oh my place in commack is sooo much better then she tried the food and was like wow your right this place is good so, ya’ll prob had a bad experience if you back and tell them they’ll take good care of and make sure its done right…

This place proudly exclaims «Voted one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the USA (2008)» That is a pretty bold claim, and according to who? Well I found their page on
It is a complete joke, and most of the comments there look like ballot stuffing spam.
I ate food from May Garden, while being an OK example of americanized Chinese food, it was just that. The food was your typical fare, and was lacking completely in flavor. It was also about 30% more expensive than other Chinese places. The food looked well prepared, but it was not very good, and there are 100 take out places in NYC alone that are better than this place, let alone the USA. Seems as if they are successful in making pretty menus, and promotion, but in reality this is a mediocre americanized chinese place serving the same crap that the 1000 other ones on LI serve.

I very affectionately have nicknamed this place «The Poison Garden». First time I ate here the food was eh, but right around the corner. The second time I ate here, I made the mistake of ordering chicken, which gave me food poisoning. I know other people who think this place is okay, and have never gotten sick. But once you get food poisoning from a place, you could give two shits what other people think. Have fun if you decide to visit the Poison Garden.
Someone told me I should try May Garden again, because they remodeled the whole place HAHA you can remodel the kitchen, but ya can’t kill the e-​coli!
