I will never return to this place! I went in knowing exactly what I wanted: two small frames (off the shelf, not custom) and to have two small pieces matted and placed in those two frames. The final results were fine but for the love of God the customer service was terrible. I told the older woman with the slight accent what I wanted and she wasn’t hearing it and went on a mile a minute word spew of up selling and that had me scratching my nails into the counter top. For 25 minutes she spit non stop word bile, never stopping to listen to what I wanted. I couldn’t believe it! Ignored everything I said and finally came to the price of «$ 380 each». I refused! «What are the other options?» «Oh, well, I guess you could use a frame off the shelf.» YES! THE VERY SAME FRAMES I SAID I WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE… then she talked and talked with disappointment about how (she guessed) they could use a «shelf» frame… and the final price would be $ 80 each. But she wasn’t hearing it when I had said it over and over again… only when she decided it was a good idea did she do it. She was rude, all she did was try to up sell, and she didn’t listen to a thing I had said. I can’t believe I even followed through with getting the work done but it was time sensitive. I will never return. I will drive to Cap. Hill and search for parking for an hour, and take any of my art to Frame Central before I ever go back to this Aaron Bros.

I went to your Shoreline location looking for mats for a 3×5 picture frame and you don’t carry any that size already cut. So I asked an employee and she said she could custom cut one for $ 10 (starting price btw) or more. I said no thanks, I bought the frame for a dollar and I think it’s a rip off to charge more then that for a mat to fit inside it. If that is any indication on how you price your other merchandise I will shop elsewhere.

Pricey, but a really good framing store with a great selection of canvas and paint and some trinkets! People here are super friendly and directed me to other stores in the area that carry the things they don’t. They are a bit pricier then some other stores in terms of their art supplies, but they had a sale going for canvas– but one get two free. I got three 30×45 inch canvases for 25 $ (not too shabby– ~8.50 $ each is a steal). They have a good selection of brushes and canvas. Paint selection is so so. Other arts and craft stuff is very limited. Half the store is filled with prints on canvas and frames.
From the looks of it, they have a very robust framing clientele. It takes up the bulk of the space, and I can only assume the bulk of the business. While I was browsing several clients came in to pick up their framed art work. They were all vocal about being pleased, so I can conclude that they must be good at what they do. If I needed something framed, I would certainly try this place first.

I’ve used this shop for custom framing a few times, now.
They get one star for quality work, and one star for (mostly) knowledgeable staff (the last time I went in I had to wait, because the person who was available said she was new and didn’t know what to do).
They lose a star for taking a loong time (usually two weeks, or more) to complete a frame job; and they lose two stars for being ridiculously overpriced: the last time I took something for them to frame it cost over $ 250, and that was after a 50% discount! Do they think only the richest 1% deserve artwork???
My grandfather worked at a framing shop for many years, and he was shocked to hear how much this place charged me. I’ll be looking for better options.

This is a well stocked, pricey store. I shop here when I don’t want to look around at other stores and I’m certain they have what I need.
Parking is easy and the store is very accessible. The downside is that it often smells like the Subway next door.
I like the selection of smaller frames and they have a HUGE selection of photo mats. I’ve also gone here to find art supplies. When they’re having a sale, it’s worth stopping by if you frame a lot. Also, sometimes there are some great deals that you can only find if you’re looking. What I like most about this store is that it’s not terribly busy. I can shop in peace and the vibe is very laid back.

Their private-​label stuff is just plain junk, cheaply made in China and not worth the plastic its wrapped in. I bought a half-​dozen easel stands for table signs, and none of them were cut properly — so they wouldn’t actually «stand,» and the hinges snapped off at the slightest pressure.
The staff is friendly, and I’m sure they do a fine job of framing and matting, and they stock the typical sort of art supplies. So if you’re driving down Aurora, you can get the brand-​name stuff. But you won’t see me buy their private-​label stuff again any time soon. ..

I’ll be honest. I don’t know how they stay in business hidden behind the Sears here. Their selections were plentiful and arranged neatly. The sales staff was helpful but for the most part, allowed us to browse and search for a portfolio. We didn’t buy one here ultimately because they were too pricey. Lots of parking here with an easy to maneuver store. If you need something framed, check them out first for quality work.

Great experience!!! I usually try to avoid AB because it feels pricey. But when I go there I actually end up paying a really reasonable price for my goodies. I recently purchased a set of prisma colors. I had checked all over and JoAnn, Fred Meyer, and WalMart didn’t carry them. On a whim we tried AB and they had them for 30% off.
Then last week I was under a tight deadline to get two really awkward sized pictures framed. I had to give the photos out the next morning. Again JoAnn and Michaels had over two week turnarounds. We decided to stopped in AB to see if we could work with some mat board. What ended up happening was the employee spent an hour helping us figure out all of our options including precut mat board, DIY mat board, and frames. We ended finding frames that fit our awkward sized photos perfectly. The price was incredibly reasonable. The employee went above and beyond to help us figure out the best options for the best price. Also, we noticed there was a smudge on our large print. The other employee came over and showed us how the framer uses the eraser to get rid of smudges. We all worked on rubbing out the smudges and it turned out great. I left with 100% less stress than when I went in. I’m no longer afraid of AB. There are definitely pricey things in the store but I’ve learned there’s something in there for every price level and skill level. Maybe someday I will want to buy more expensive paints or brushes, either way I know I can go to AB for good service, prices, selection, and customer service.

I have always appreciated Aaron Brothers’ line of art supplies and selection of ready-​made frames, but my husband and I just went in there last night for another reason: to custom-​frame his diplomas for the wall of his new office.
This review is a bit premature since we don’t yet have our completed, framed products, but the experience with the sales associate, Marc, was so good that I had to get on Unilocal today and post a 5-​star review.
He really knew what he was doing, he took his time with us, he asked lots of questions about what we were looking for in our framing job, and he really listened to the answers. He offered us all of the available options for framing and matting without trying to upsell us.
Both Marc and I have an excellent sense of color and spacing, and it was actually really fun to work with him. He and I were thinking the same thing several times. For example, he mentioned that he would not go with too much blue for a second matting option (a second matting color placed underneath the main matting color of cream), because then the eye would be drawn too much to the blue rather than to the med school diploma itself. That was exactly what I was thinking right before he said that. We ended up deciding on ¼″ of blue and 2 ¼″ of cream matting for the med school diploma, which both of us definitely thought looked the best.
For the 3 smaller diplomas/​certificates, Marc and I agreed that a hint of gold would look best underneath the cream mat. When Marc brought out the initial selection of golds, I was disappointed with all of them and I asked him if he had any golds that were less bronzy. At first he hesitated, and he could only recommend a couple of greeny-​golds that neither of us liked, but then he brought out a beautiful sparkly non-​bronzy gold that was so showy that I asked him if it was possible to do anything smaller than the ¼″ for the second matting option. He said that 1/​8″ was the smallest that is available, so I tried that option out with the samples, and we both thought that looked great.
My husband is partially color-​blind and he does not have a good sense of spacing, so he was happy that Marc and I were taking care of that part of the experience for him. I would recommend this place for people who are not good with color and spacing; the sales associate will make good choices for you, but I would also recommend this place for artists or people who are really good with color and spacing. It felt to me as though I was collaborating with another artist while I was working with Marc on the framing options.
We’d chosen some fairly expensive options, and the total cost was a little over what we had budgeted. Marc asked us if we had any coupons, and we did not. He then fished out an excellent coupon that a customer had left behind (without using it) earlier that same day, and gave it to us! It saved us over $ 200, which put us right under our initial framing budget.
I enjoyed the entire experience very much, and my husband is really excited that his frames are going to look so nice.

So, after posting my review here (see previous note), I also sent my complaint to Aaron Brothers. The district manager promptly replied and offered a full refund. He also offered to purchase another copy of the poster that was trimmed incorrectly. Sadly, it was a promotional piece complete with autographs (!), so it is not able to be replaced. But, I appreciated their quick response and efforts to correct the situation. That’s decent customer service.

I don’t know why this Aaron Brothers gets such poor reviews. I don’t think it’s half bad. I’ve had things custom framed here before and they turned out great. The staff has always been incredibly helpful, and have NEVER tried to sell me items or anything. Plus, if you are on their e-​mail list they always e-​mail out ridiculous coupons for 50% off frames and whatnot. I think it’s a solid place to fulfill all of your framing needs.

It’s a little pricey up in here but they say it’s their high quality stuff, which I believe to some extent! There are definitely a lot of different things to choose from at the store. Lots of frames, photo albums, and other gadgets…
Their custom framing section is pretty cool but pricey. They can help you frame a standard sized item or customize the size to fit your item. Their associates are very helpful although when I went around 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, they were definitely understaffed. Not cool!

This is a great place for fancy frames and little stocking stuffers. I have picked up several frames here before as wedding presents. They have a small scrapbook area if that is your thang. We had a special family portrait custom framed here for the folks for Christmas and it was fairly reasonable. Nice helpful staff. Got a nice little pocket sized wallet photo album for the proud grandma to show off her herd of grandchildren at senior functions. The artwork is nice but a little on the pricey side.
