Great $ 3 2^nd run movies. Just saw The Revanent in the larger theater! Liked that a rep. Came in to welcome and remind to shut off cell phones!
Clean theater and bathrooms. It’s old but clean!

This place has always been fun! The staff is generally nice! The movies are cheap, around 4 bucks or so! Generally pretty clean too! I will always be a customer to the Crest! If you like an old vintage style theater, this is the place to be!

Love Crest Cinema! For those who do not know. They are a «second showing» type cinema. So once a movie leaves the big-​time theaters, they will get it for a couple weeks.
The staff is so nice there! Always so friendly with a smile on their face. It’s cool to see.
The main theater just got upgraded seats too. They are so comfortable. Can’t beat $ 4 tickets ($ 5.50 for 3D).
Love it there. The 4-​star reviews baffle me. For the type of business Crest is, how are they not the best out there. Silly.

Went here a few nights ago to see The Martian. Show was at 6:30pm & there were still spots open in the small parking lot at 6:20. No line so we got tickets & a good seat quickly. Only about 30 people total in the theater Monday night. Chairs were comfy but don’t rock like newer theaters.
Tempted by popcorn because it smelled fantastic but we’d just had dinner do we resisted
The parking lot on the south side of the building is VERY dark. I would be afraid to park there without an alarm on my car or go there alone after dark.

Great place for a second run movie. Its nice to be able to get out away from the kids for a movie for under $ 5. Cheeper than renting a movie to stream!

This theater has increased in price to 4 $ and even more if you see a 3D movie, but has also done some renovations to the seats. Its now much nicer, although the theaters and the building seems the same. Since a regular movie theater nearby charges over 11 $ for a regular film this is still a great deal. Often you can catch things that are still playing in the first run theater although usually quite a few weeks after their initial release. They usually have a children’s show which I plan to take a lot of advantage of once my nephews are old enough to enjoy movies. They now take credit cards at the door which keeps me from having to scrounge for quarters to pay for my movie. Concession prices are comparable to a regular movie theater, but they do use real butter (I prefer fake) and have a pay by weight candy option. They also recently started serving beer and wine which also make the theater appeal even more to me. A new brew pub opened up across the street as well. Parking can be tight in the lots, but there is plenty of free neighborhood parking.

I will always love The Crest. There’s something so wholesome about it. The smell of the popcorn, high school kids at every position, and picking out a seat that all the springs are in the right place. For $ 4 per person, you can’t go wrong. The concessions aren’t any cheaper than a normal theater but the ambiance is worth it.

We love this theater! Refills on large drinks and popcorn. New seats and great prices!

I am sooo glad to have Crest. True, it’s been around for a while and the theaters are not that fresh anymore. But what I appreciate most is that it actually increases the options and variety of movies available in Seattle. When every other theater is playing the «blockbuster» movie, Crest almost always provides a counter-​option.

This rating is for theaters in its class — discount second run movies and independent films. The lobby and theaters are a little drab and small, however this can be considered charming and the norm for theaters of this kind. It looks like they are installing all new leather (or pleather) seats. We watched a movie in one of the renovated theaters and it was super comfortable. Our tickets were $ 4.00 each, so a great value. They also serve beer and wine to 21+ so that’s cool. Only one beverage per person per time, so one of you will have to save seats while others get their beverages!

Now that the Regal Valley 13 is gone, I have to drive all the way to North Seattle for my cheap movie fixes… however, the Crest makes it worth the drive!
I came here all the time in late 90’s, so it really is like «coming home» again. One of the great things about the Crest is that they don’t just show mainstream movies, but they also show independent movies, so you usually have a decent selection to choose from.
All shows are $ 4…you can’t beat that!
And the best part, IMO, is the REAL butter on their delicious popcorn!
She may be looking a little bit worse for age and wear, and her chairs may be a bit uncomfortable at times, but the Crest is still a great destination for a cheap and fun movie date!

$ 4 indie movies and a bulk candy. Yogurt covered gummy bears. Friendly staff. If only the seats were as comfortable as my couch.

You can’t beat the ticket prices, and the popcorn really is good, but one of the main reasons I like to go to the Crest is because they play a lot of indie films that normally show at those expensive art-​housey theaters tucked away in areas where there’s very little parking, paid or otherwise. (Think Capitol Hill, U District, Wallingford.) There’s plenty of street parking within a block of the theater. I saw a movie there last week that first ran (in the arthouses) two months ago – not bad of a wait at all!

I’ve been a Crest Cinema junkie since the 90’s and it just got ever better — new seats!!! I love the ambiance, the history and the price of the movies. The only negative had been the seats that were less comfortable than a barn floor — although they really made you appreciate chiropractors. But, now the new seating is spectacular!

Best value in town! I read somewhere recently that, with the most recent and egregious movie price hike, significantly fewer people are going to (able to afford?) the movies and that the national gross is down 12% — even with the price hike.
The Crest raised it’s prices too — Lord have mercy, to $ 4.
While at the Crest, buy popcorn — it’s fresh and good but mainly that’s how they make their money. 90% of any movie ticket price goes to the movie producer, not to the theater!

We would come here again.
Pluses:
— Price. $ 4. Wow
— Movies. Two movies were being shown that I couldn’t find playing elsewhere in Seattle.
— Comfortable seats. (at least in the theatre we used).
— pre-​movie highlights. Short, with only two previews. And a live human being came out front to ask us to enjoy the show and to turn off our cellphones.
Cons:
— We were in one of the 2 smaller theatres in the «complex». TIP: get there early for a good view, because the view from many of the seats was sub-​optimum — though acceptable.
— Bathrooms. A wee bit small.
Didn’t try the popcorn, though the aroma was enticing.

Movies are now $ 4 and $ 5.50 for 3D. There are new seats, at least in the first auditorium down the hallway. They are big, plush, and have cup holders in the arm rest! The downside is there is very little space in the aisle. As a short person, my knees were hitting the chair in front of me. It will be nice if people stagger and don’t sit directly behind the other. :)

$ 3 takes the cake.
Sneak in food from 7 – 11 (it’s a long running tradition in my family).

I have been coming here since … Well I guess the early 70’s. Long before it was a «second run» place. I am a very enthusiastic fan of this concept, and this theater. It’s not in Like new condition. It’s more… Vintage. It’s comfortable though. The screens are fine. It’s popular, too. Neighborhood street parking can be a small challenge. And? A 7 – 11 across the street for sneak in snacks. Perfect!

The Crest is ghetto fabulous, and I LOVE it! Luckily, second-​run movies doesn’t mean second-​rate, and the über cheap price means I’m willing to be adventurous and see movies I may not see at full price!
Get there early, cause at these prices, the theaters can fill up. Oh and yeah, that’s real butter on your popcorn.

I really enjoyed this theater. Old world charm that is well kept and the staff is very professional yet lively and fun! We had an announcer before the start of the previews that was a humorous, young fellow. The ticket prices are $ 3 and I found parking very easily! I will be coming here from now on to see movies because the experience alone is worth it.

I don’t like spending a lot of money to see movies. In my family, we make decisions about when we’ll see movies at the Crest, when we’ll go to a larger theater, and when we’ll wait for it to come out on video. The Crest always makes the list with a handful of movies and we typically go there for kids shows.
I like the neighborhood the Crest is in. I’ve never had trouble finding parking which is available in a small lot on the property, a large lot across the street, and street parking. I love that it’s across the street from 7 – 11 so if my family has a craving for something to snack on before we go in, it’s an option.
The theater isn’t fancy or modern. That’s totally fine with me. The concession stands offer deals on snacks like a large popcorn and large drink with free refills. The bathroom is not a pleasant experience and I try to avoid it if at all possible. Honestly, if I’m kind of lackluster on seeing a movie, I’d rather spend $ 3 which is a quarter of what I would pay otherwise.

I love this theater.
I have been here multiple times. Every screening is $ 3. Each room size is comparable with a typical theater room. It may not look «fancy» as some other theaters or its seats may not be the most comfortable but it surely is a good bargain.
There are just about enough theater parking in its lot.
You pay with either cash or card with ID.
