Jara Mohlman

Jara is a very talented makeup artist who did a phenomenal job with my wedding makeup and for three of my bridesmaids! I knew immediately that I wanted to hire her after my makeup trial– she has a wealth of knowledge about makeup artistry, and she’s a genuinely nice person who makes you feel completely at ease. When I decided to change a few things after my trial, she knew exactly what I was looking for and made me look beautiful! My makeup was PERFECT for many hours even though I felt like I was sweating a lot on a very hot day! She even includes a nice little touch-​up kit for the day to keep your makeup looking flawless. I am so happy that I found Jara!!!

Jara is fabulous! She did the makeup for my wedding and did a phenomenal job. As someone who does not wear much makeup I was very hesitant to have it done for my wedding. Jara was able to create a beautiful natural look that felt great. She was so responsive, fun and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Jara!

I booked Jara for my bridal make up back in September 2013.
I did a lot of research, looking through hundreds of local artists’ pictures in my area before I came across Jara’s website. I loved her style!!! I called and made a trial appointment with Jara. Once I see the magic she did, I was sold! She was friendly and made me feel comfortable during the trial, also she made sure to follow my requests on what I want on each detail (my eye shadow, my lashes, etc.). but she’s not shy to tell you what you want might not bring out your best features.
She’s also very professional and understanding. I love that she was on-​time even though she had to be at my house at 5:30 AM to get ready for me and my whole bridal party.
I have recommended her to several of my friends who were getting married. She’s simply amazing!!!

I was really nervous going to have my first professional photos done (outside of Sears portrait studio). I’ve had skin cancer on my face & wasn’t sure she could camouflage the scars. Jaya was wonderful! She made me feel comfortable right away & helped me relax. Even putting mascara & false lashes on me wasn’t too bad. (I flinch) The experience was more like having a friend make me up than a snooty cosmetics gal from the mall. I’d recommend her to anyone!

Decided somewhat last minute to get my makeup professionally done for our June wedding. I’d never had my makeup done, so knew very little of even what to say… darkening my eyebrows? Fake lashes? What? Lucky for me, Jara is an absolute pro and a total hoot. I was so comfortable during my trial and absolutely loved the way I looked on our wedding day. My new husband damn near fell over when he saw me.
My mom and sister looked incredible too, and Jara even managed to convince my normally zero-​makeup best friend to wear a bit for the wedding, and we were one good-​looking gaggle of gals.
The little makeup kit was just what I needed for minor touch-​ups, but the majority of the makeup held up incredibly well, even through tears, lots of kissing (wedding day, after all!), and a lot of dancing to Michael Jackson and the Boss. Jara made me feel at ease and comfortable, and even made me laugh during my pre-​wedding jitters. I really loved working with her, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I hired Jara recently for a corporate video shoot in Seattle. We shot 8 testimonial videos on green screen. My client needed a make-​up artist to handle make-​up for the interviewees. Our business is located in San Diego, Ca, so we had to hire someone in Seattle on short notice. She was awesome. She was excellent with the interviewees, great with my clients, super personable, great attitude, great rate, quality work. I would definitely hire her again.

Jara did an amazing job with my makeup. Everyone kept telling me how beautiful I looked. The price was amazing too. She gave my friend and I great tips also on what concealers are better for us. I would hire her in a second!
