Nursing Assistant Training Institute

From the bottom of my heart I would just like to praise everyone of the nurse instructors and employees of NATI. I graduated in April of 2015 and the minute I applied as a CNA to various big name employers I was contacted later that same day by 90 percent of the places in which I had applied. It has only been a couple of months and I have been promoted and praised. I owe it to this fine school. The instructors have instilled in me the competency to be able to work on the nurse team as well as given me a proper foundation to become an Nurse. that means an awful lot. I would put this institution up against any. Thank you so much NATI, you wonderful people have made me successful in a very rewarding and demanding industry. I passed the state board exam with zero problems due mainly to the preparation of this institution. Thanks NATI, I will never forget you.

Great experience at NATI when I completed my nursing assistant program. All the staff is so friendly, supportive, and encouraging. They make learning enjoyable and meaningful. Great guest presenters throughout the course as well as fantastic hands-​on training for the skills test. Everyone there wants you to succeed! Sharon and Nancy are so sweet. The school was adorable and quick, only 10 classes before we started clinicals. We had a job fair on the last day where we met with recruiters from around the area. Such a great networking opportunity! I made some great friends and miss my time at the school. Can’t recommend enough, don’t waste your time looking for anywhere else to complete your NAC training.

I am a licensed massage therapist and my focus is hospice and oncology. I thought adding CNA skills would add a layer of comfort for my patients but I was overwhelmed looking at schools and programs. My sister who is a nurse found NATI for me (thank goodness) based on it’s excellent reputation. I’ve read in these Unilocal reviews that some found the instructors to be rude. Nothing could be further from the truth. All of the instructors are knowledgeable, patient, experienced and kind. They go through a huge amount of information with a large number of students and to do that they must be focused. But rude? No way. On the first day of class the instructors outlined the course and it was exactly as they said it would be — no surprises. The state required class instruction was an excellent mix of lecture, video and demonstration and the extra smaller classes were wonderful. NATI has many extras to help prepare for the final state exams as well; a skills DVD, a test prep book, extra skills classes… in fact, one of my favorite instructors came-​in on her day off to unlock the skills lab for my friend and I the day before our state exams (which we breezed through) and then stayed and walked us through each skill one more time. Outstanding instructors! The clinical was tough but excellently run and a great look at what the actual work of a CNA is. The job fair was a nice surprise that I didn’t need (I love my job) but it was a nice reminder of how in demand a good CNA is and will continue to be. Being an LMP I’m required to have 24 continuing education hours every other year, so I’ve seen my share of bad programs. This program is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Maybe the work isn’t for everyone, but if this is work you would like to do, start at NATI. You will not only be well prepared for your state exams, but you will be very well prepared for what is ultimately more important: confident, competent, safe care of your patients while doing a rewarding job you’ll love. I highly recommend NATI and am so thankful to have found them.

Worth your every last dollar! Getting a certification for a job that is in HIGH demand couldn’t be any easier. The ladies at NATI were very genuine, understanding, and patient in explaining and demonstrating the skills (which is the harder part of the state exam according to everybody that has already taken it). The commitment level is minimal for what you’re walking away with from this class. The best part was that in class 10 they hosted a job fair and brought in a handful of employers that are currently hiring NA-​Cs and they bring applications with them! …I met and applied to three places, and ultimately was offered a position at one of the facilities the very next day.
End of the day, I’d recommend NATI-​Shoreline to everyone!

Honestly, I wish I went to a professional college to get certified instead of this institution. The instructors reminded me of the mean, rude elementary school teachers I had. We are adults– please talk to us as such. They had no respect for their students and the only benefit to this program was how quickly I finished and how affordable it was. If I were to do it over again, I would have gone somewhere else.

I’m so glad I chose NATI for my CNA course. I just passed my CNA exam, and I can definitely say that the school goes above and beyond to prepare you for the test. The staff are helpful about answering questions, caring, and genuinely want you to succeed. The school is professionally run and very organized. They really provide you with all the resources and information that you need to do well on your exam. Although they’re a bit more expensive than other schools, the extra investment is worth it in the end. My only qualm would be my experience at the nursing home where I did my clinicals. That part was not as well-​run, but that may be out of the control of the school. I still learned a lot though and would highly recommend NATI for becoming a CNA!

I enrolled in this program ¹²⁄₂₀₁₃ and took the weekend class. I was working full time, and it fit into my work schedule. My instructor was Rose and she was very nice and funny and was a great teacher. She taught us how to pass the certification test while also how to be a good CNA in practice. I really enjoyed the class and her instruction.
I now work at Northwest Hospital as a CNA. I was hired on at the hospital less than a year after enrolling in the course, and only 4 months after I became certified as a CNA. This school helps prepare you for what it is really like to work as a CNA. A lot of other CNA’s at NWH went to this program too. If you want to learn how to be a great caretaker and pass the WA St. test to get certified, you should definitely take the class here.
Thank you Rose, Chris, and all the other wonderful staff members of NATI. I wouldn’t be where I am now if I didn’t take this class!

This is an excellent school, very professional and knowledgeable staff, I was really impressed. I ended up going into a different field so I didn’t complete the program; but they were prompt in issuing a refund based on their written policy, which is very similar to the way the community colleges do it.
The textbook provided for the course was written by the school’s director and it’s the best I’ve ever seen, I highly recommend picking up a copy before taking the state exam if you self-​studied or went to school someplace else.

I was so pleased with the Adult Family Home Care program the Nursing Institute provided. It exceeded my expectations in preparing me for a meaningful career in caring for the elderly. Surprisingly, much of the content is common sense! Yet too many of us need refresher courses on the basic imortance of «treating others as we would like to be treated» ! I highly recommend this course for ANYONE who is considering ANY level of care giving… even if you just may have to care for your own loved one!

Great place to get your nursing assistant education and clinical hours in order to site for the Washington state NAC exam.
Great staff, and program content with a very well organized syllabus. The process of getting the required education, skills, and clinical hours to sit for the WA State NAC exam is very intense and time consuming. Chris and her well trained staff make the process as easy and organized as possible. All you have to do is show up on time, do ALL of your homework, study, and pay attention during class. The rest is covered by them.
I learned so much about the nursing process, being a caregiver, and how to connect with patients on a human/​soul level as part of providing care at NATI.
A wonderful program.
