Richmond Beach Library

Need a book? They got ‘em! You can check them out and go home if desired. Or find an easy chair and read there! Whatever you want! This is the old-​school neighborhood library that doesn’t exist anymore except in Richmond Beach (courtesy of generous local donors).

I just LOVE this library!
Everyone here is so friendly. I lost my library card and the staff was very helpful. There is also a great collection of self-​learn language books here; and other materials to help including cds for your car. Also a very wonderful yoga and pilates video offering. Free printing services are available if your printer has a malfunction ;/​
Lastly, the Library is just nested in a very peaceful area, the lawn is well-​maintained and always nice for a walk in the afternoon. I’m very thankful to live nearby such a nice Library!

The Richmond Beach Library is a gem — small, intimate and inviting. The location is beautiful next to a park with views of the Sound. I really appreciate the interesting architecture and the interesting artwork in and around the building. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend Richmond Beach Library as a great place to hang out and read magazines on a snowy afternoon.

A quiet wee bit of space is all I ask for to sit and read a great book. This is the case in this small library located near the foot of Richmond Beach road, and the added specialty is the small park located next door.
During the bad weather, sit inside and enjoy this fabulously remodeled location. Or, if the sun is out, check out a book and sit outside!
If you are lucky enough to be served by the KC Library system you are in for a treat, go online and reserve your materials, they’ll e-​mail you once the item comes in. From books to DVD’s this library system has it all, they even have e-​book and audio books to lend out. These items can be downloaded to your computer without having to step into one of their locations.
While this location can get a bit busy, and the parking isn’t that plentiful, I only knock it down a star for being a popular location, which can get a bit noisy.
