Wonderful customer service! Went in needing both advice and materials, and I found exactly what I needed for my furniture painting project. Riley was so helpful and made me feel ok to ask a lot of questions. He helped me find all the things I needed without pressuring me for sales and went out of his way to seek consultation when he wasn’t sure. As someone who is just beginning to get into home improvement projects, Riley and Sherwin Williams have a brand new loyal customer.

The main entrance is on Shipley. If you are lucky, you might find parking in one of their parking spots in front of the main entrance (there are only about 4 spots, so plan accordingly).
It took about 20 – 30 minutes to get a near exact match of my paint, which I needed to cover up some scuffed walls. I was amazed because the Home Depot color match was extremely far off base.
My quote for this paint with gloss was about $ 40-​$ 50/​gallon (less for a slightly less similar paint– don’t get the slightly less similar paint because that means more work!!!). One quart, which is the smallest quantity I could purchase, was about $ 20. That’s a lot more than what I’d pay at a big box in the suburbs, but this Sherwin Williams was the most convenient place for me to stop by. If your contractor has a Sherwin Williams account, there will be a discount. I asked what the discount is, but it all depends– most likely there is a big program like Diamond/​Sapphire/​Ruby/​Platinum/​Gold levels or something.

Attentive, helpful friendly service. There’s parking. They offer discount coupons which Home Depot does not do. Overall, a great experience!

In the midst of painting this past weekend, I realized I was missing some pertinent supplies that would make the job much easier. Not knowing the area well, I didn’t know if there were any hardware stores nearby. I did remember driving by the SW store a few times so I decided to give them a call… and YES! They were open til 4pm!
I hurried my way down there, and was immediately greeted by Matt. In a matter of 5 minutes he helped me pick out all the supplies I needed, and even gave me a 10%.Great customer service!

I called a couple of days before to see if I could get a refill on a Sherwin-​Williams paint bucket. The first guy I spoke with says if I have the numbers off the sticker, he can mix it up and have it ready for pick up. I call a couple of days later and the guy is on vacation. The guy who picks up the phone refuses to even listen to the numbers. I ask for a supervisor. He says the same about bringing in the bucket. I told him the other guy said I only needed the numbers.
Long story short, they refused to hear the number.
I called the Geary store, they took the numbers and had the paint ready for pick up. Don’t waste your time, go to the Geary location.
