Rice Creek Regional Trail Corridor

I just went to this dog park today for the first time, and my dog loved it! It is 13 acres, fully fenced, and on higher ground so it stays dry. There are regional trails that go through the park surrounding the dog park which you can leash up and walk your pooch on if the dog park isn’t your style. Had it not rained, and my dog being so wiped from the park, we would’ve walked around alittle bit.
Just a short drive from Minneapolis (Shoreview), I would definitely recommend checking this park out if your dog needs to stretch it’s legs. There are walking trails that surround the park, but the entire area is wide open and grassy. The trails are mostly sandy and there are a couple swimming holes for your four legged water-​beast.
My dog has been cooped up all winter, and this is the first offleash area we have been since… September. We only needed to stay for about 30 mins and he got cranky, but he was defintely tired. I imagine it gets busy on the weekends and during non-​work hours. We’ll definitely be back (and perhaps the star rating goes up, too).
