I gave this restaurant a five star rating because the staff was super friendly, service was fast, and food was fantastic. Our drinks were never empty and our waiter brought us more napkins and extra plates before we even asked. The food was authentic and very good! My husband and I both ordered steak street tacos. The meat was tender and very flavorful. Chips are thin, crispy, and fresh, and salsa was delicious. The décor left a lot to be desired, but you don’t really go to that kind of restaurant for the atmosphere.

I don’t get some of these 1 and 2 star reviews I’m seeing. We have been here many times and have always enjoyed our experience. We’ve had many of their menu items and have always enjoyed them. We do feel they put too much of their queso sauce on some of their dishes do we ask for half the queso amount. Service is consistently good, the food is consistently good in our opinion, and the low prices are awesome. I also like the atmosphere and noise level. Not too loud that I can’t have a conversation at the table and not so quiet that I worry about my little kids excited voice levels drawing scowls from the nearby tables. My wife and I often share the Molcajete Jimador for $ 15.99 which includes a lot of grilled steak, chicken strips, shrimp, bell peppers, and onions along with avocado slices, and salsa verde. Rice, beans, and tortillas are served on the side. We leave stuffed even with giving some of the meat to the kids. An excellent value for the huge amount of tender and juicy beef and chicken they put in it. They only bring the flour tortillas in foil wraps of 3 so we always ask for more. One negative is that the tortillas are often stuck to each other and don’t always separate well. I like their salsa, as does my 2 year old girl who throws her head back guzzling it by the cupfulls, not the best but good. I do wish it was less chunky and had more heat but it’s obviously perfect for my little princess. You can always ask them for a bowl of their scalding habenero salsa.

Only been there once. That was enough. It’s cute on the outside. I don’t recall stellar service but don’t recall it being bad either. I got guacamole salad and it was just«meh.» It was super creamy and plopped on top of shredded ice berg lettuce with a bit of chopped up tomatoes on the side. I don’t like super creamy guacamole. That’s my preference– chunkier and more like homemade, u know? My husband said it was just okay, what he got. Not impressed so no need or desire to return. Bummer.

Tried several restaurants that claim to serve Mexican food… This was delicious… we found our New Mexican restaurant. Must try the chicken nachos-A+!!!

First time goer. I was pleasantly shocked by the low prices. We had fajitas, enchilada ranchero, and chimichanga. Food is definitely not bad, but I was underwhelmed. And there were no margaritas? ?? Service wasn’t bad, but definitely wasn’t personable. Didn’t feel entirely welcomed. I’d go back but probably wouldn’t break my neck trying.

By far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The salsa is fresh and the waitstaff friendly. I love the chicken soup and the chicken tacos! However I was very disappointed at the coverage of waitstaff during the Sunday lunch rush. They were packed and the bartender was even waiting on customers. We waited any hour for our food and my soup came out ice cold. I recommend going during the evening time when they are better staffed.

It’s packed by 12:30 on a Sunday, so get there early. They don’t seem to staff for that rush. I just got tacos. They were ok… lots of meat, but not much lettuce which would’ve been nicer. They use a white cheese, and it wasn’t my favorite. But, three tacos a la carte for $ 4.50 seemed like a steal. The lunch is one taco with rice and beans for $ 5.99 I think… and that’s just crazy in comparison. Boyfriend got a «DeSoto» dish. It was beef fajita, chicken fajita, bacon and shrimp all in a pile on rice. He said it was good. It was huge, especially for $ 8.99. He ate it all up. The salsa needs some spice, but the chips are great. It’s good. Especially in an area that only had higher priced places. This was a cheap alternative.

This place has decent salsa. That’s it. Chips are old and stale. The service is terrible. Waitress leaned on table and almost spilt my salsa on me. Asked for Pepsi. Received dr pepper. When asked, yes I had to ask for a refill she said«Dr Pepper?» I replied no Pepsi. She brought another Dr Pepper. Ordered Chili Colorado, got Chili Verde. Not that it mattered since it is obviously out of a can. Also had some white bugger or snot stuff in it. Rancid. Almost as bad as El Chicos. You have been warned.
