Another great experience. Very polite staff. Large selection for dining seating. Again my gf at all the Naan and they had to make more. Large selection for the buffet line with a nice salad. I will be returning.

This was a good field trip for us. JG score of 4.5÷10(+1.5 for food, 0 for atmosphere, +1 for price, 0 for Diet Coke, +1 for the owner’s service and hospitality and +1 for we would eat here again) The food was good. We are lunchtime travelers from East Texas who will try almost anything to eat. Indian type food is something we have only had at a few places so we needed more experience with this. We took along a guest reviewer, James, who has a lot of Indian food experience by his report. So, by the end of the day, we had tried at least 10 different items. This was aided by some of us trying the lunchtime buffet. We all 3 agreed that our favorite item was the Rogan Josh which is described as a braised lamb in aromatic type sauce. Well, it was good and worth seconds. The grilled lamb sausages called Seekh Kabab were my entrée and also liked by all of us… seemed like meat loaf. With our buffets, we covered our plates with the Basmati rice and then put the Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, the Channa Saag and the Mutter Paneer into sections around the plate. Our least favorite of the day was the Mutter Paneer which was described as green peas with cottage cheese and creamy tomato sauce= it was alright. I also forgot to mention above that we also had the Daal Makhani on our rice which is black lentils and beans and was our second favorite buffet item. The Chicken Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala were also worth 2nds but the chickpeas and spinach of the Channa Saag were okay to good… we ate all of our one serving but that was enough for us… All that is left to mention is the Naan bread given in the basket at the beginning which can be easy to munch on like chips at a Mexican restaurant and the little dessert balls that I don’t know their name but were a good finish like a sopapilla… we had a good time eating these foods we rarely get to eat. The atmosphere was nice but not outstanding. It was a good place to eat in. The price of the buffet was around $ 10 and for the food this is a great option. They don’t have Diet Dr Pepper but do have Diet Coke. The service of the owner was particularly standout. He was friendly and seemed interested that I try all the items on the buffet so I would know how they are the next time I come. He did not even charge me for the buffet, just my entrée item of the lamb sausages. We even had a nice conversation at the checkout. He seems like a nice man. We would go back here sometime.

Because I have never eaten Indian food, we went to the lunch buffet. Good selection of different foods. Everyone I tasted was delicious! Owner/manager was extremely friendly and a lot of fun. I have no idea what I ate, but all was great. Spicy, but not too spicy. Will definitely go back.

Indigo is a not-so-hidden gem of Shreveport. The food is consistently delicious, flavorful and spicy. Gurbux Bhatia is an absolutely OUTSTANDING host. He makes his patrons feel at home, like family. Indigo is a true dining experience. We are all princesses at Gurbux’s— and he always remembers that this particular princess likes her mango martinis strong.

Wonderful. I suggest to go during the buffet! Really good food. They don’t care much for the look of the place but their food makes up for the crooked pictures on the wall.

This is a perfect example of an average restaurant. The food is okay. Nothing that would make you want to run back the next day. Kheema and aloo naan were sparsely filled. Chicken tikka didn’t have enough sauce for the amount of chicken in the dish. Lamb chops were excellent — I am assuming because they were freshly made to order. Service is below average. My first time there, the owner closed the kitchen without giving us a chance to order dessert or chai. The owner also was out the door and closed the restaurant before we had even sat in our car. It was unfortunate because we were there to celebrate my graduation. Dinner for two, with four beers, was about ~$ 75. A month later we returned to try the lunch buffet. It was probably the cheapest buffet I have ever been to. $ 21.20 for two people. First issue, the naan in the basket was very little. The guy who brought it out didn’t say anything, or even respond when we said thanks. It was quickly finished and the owner who was waiting tables and cashing people out never came to refill our naan basket or water glasses. They sat empty for the second half our meal. He was very social and appeared to pay sufficient attention to what looked like his regular customers. Food wasn’t bad overall, good selection of veg and meat, adequate masala. Two dessert options — the gulab jamuns were good, we didn’t try the kheer as it didn’t look too appetizing.

I ordered for takeout, very happy with results. The chicken kurma, medium, had big chunks for fresh chicken, seasoned perfectly and accompanied by a trio of sides dips and chutney. I also ordered naan with extra garlic, and they too did not disappoint. Perfect meal for my business trip to Shreveport!

The cut up chicken breasts in the yellow sauce was wonderful. Also the yellow sauce with the little round green peas over rice was really good. The sweet apple dumplings were yummy. I loved how the owner told me «it’s buffet, your highness». My husband loved the lamb chunks. We did not try the bright red-dyed very dried up looking little chickens legs. The owner kept our water filled and it was good tasting water. 3 stars because of the flying gnats over the salad and scuffed up black paint. Love the owner!

I ordered $ 40 worth of food to-go. As I picked it up I requested 2 orders of chutney and he charged me an additional $ 4.00…i paid and grabbed a menu as I left and looked in the menu and chutney was only $ 1.00…i promptly went back inside and questioned the charge. He told me he gave me a double serving. I laughed and restrained from giving him a throat punch and asked for a refund. Does a tablespoon of chutney constitute a $ 4. Charge? The worst part is as I got home and started to lay everything out, he forgot to give me my lamb biryani rice. The food is average and could have been tolerable had my $ 40 meal been complete… it’s 20 minutes away and refuse to go back.

Modern feel, family run, and absolutely delectable cuisine. I got the veg mixed vegetables dish and my husband got a shrimp dish. Just the perfect flavor for both and it’s clear that the owner cares about his customer experience. There are choices for all palates. Give it a try and I’m sure you will be a repeat customer.

My boyfriend and I were in the Shreveport area for a family event and wanted to go off to a fancy restaurant by ourselves. Indigo sounded good, based on cuisine and other reviews. The restaurant was romantic, intimate, nicely decorated, and looked fairly busy. Service could have been faster– we waited about five minutes for a table. Then we waited awhile more for water and menus. We both ordered chicken, and it came fairly promptly– served with rice and warm bread. The owner came by frequently to give us relationship advice(not sure exactly why!) but he kept us smiling and laughing. The waiter stopped often to refill our water glasses. Indigo was a great choice for a private, elegant evening out. We want to go back!

I’ve been frequenting this restaurant since around 2008. The quality of the food is Super consistent, and you couldn’t ask for more a more personable owner. Mr. Bhatia always knows exactly what I want and recognizes my voice whenever I call in an order. He’s a very kind soul and from what I’ve read, he treats everyone like royalty. When I was commuting to school in Shreveport, he even offered to let me nap in the back party room during long breaks from class. You can’t beat that. I filled in for him one night as extra waitstaff during a special event, so I can guarantee the cleanliness of the kitchen. This is truly one of the few excellent«mom and pop» places left in the area, and I’d do anything to see to it that this place stays in business as long as possible!

First off the atmosphere is great. Very romantic. It’s dark inside with a few small lights. We ordered the chicken kurma and the saag lipte kofte. The chicken kurma was excellent and the coconut milk in it was very present(menu said«almond sauce»). The saag lipte kofte is pretty much lamb saag(spinach). On the menu it says«lamb dumplings and fenugreek sauce». Well there was nothing about it that made it «dumplings» and there was no sauce present, ATALL. It’s pretty much lamb pieces encased in spinach. I do have to say that I love lamb and know the taste of it very well but this lamb tasted more like beef. Not cool. On top of all that, this place is pretty expensive with the plates costing $ 13& $ 14. The atmosphere is nice but the food was a let down for me. I much prefer India’s Restaurant. Their curry is more authentic to me and they’re also at lower prices.

A high class restaurant with nice décor serving excellent, authentic Indian cuisine. Our party of seven was seated immediately on a Sunday evening and service was quick and attentive. We tried a range of entrees including tandoori shrimp, curried chicken and vegetarian dishes with eggplant, spinach(saag paneer), potatoes, dahl, raita and garlic naan bread. We did not have dessert or coffee. Everything was terrific and well spiced on the hot side. If you don’t like spicy hot food better tell your server. We love it and Indigo does it right(we’ve often been disappointed by other Indian places that make their food bland to suit Western tastes). Note that by Indian standards this place IS pricey. Dinner for 7 with only 5 alcoholic beverages(one beer and 4 glasses of house wine) was $ 200 including tip… so close to $ 30 per person. These are pretty much Washington DC or New York prices but the quality of food and atmosphere are indeed worth it. We’re in town for five days and will make a second visit. There is a lunch buffet(which we didn’t have time to visit) which is a more economical way to try this place out.

This place is so good. Everything I had from the appetizers to the main course I ordered was delicious. The service was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here. I had the chicken tikka masala, naan, and saag. Everything was so delicious I didn’t even want to stop eating. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves great indian food.

Indigo, Indigo … The food is awesome– I tried chicken balayani, and Buffet there. Every time I am in Shreveport, I go there for tasty Indian meals. The owner is a wonderful and generous person. He knows & remember everyone. Once, I placed an order to go though knowing that the shop close between 2 – 5 pm and I didn’t get there before closing as I didn’t get my work done in time. To my surprise, they left a well-packed lunch box at the door for me! And I hadn’t even paid for it yet! I am happy that I found this restaurant in Shreveport. I hope you try the food there and like it.
