Longhorn is an amazing steakhouse! They offer a very broad menu. The severs are always friendly. You can dine-in with a large group(10ppl) or just enjoy a nice quite dinner for two! The lighting is perfect for a nice romantic and inviting dinner! I frequent this restaurant often. It comes highly recommended!

I heard about this place from my sister in law, she said you have to try it. My first impression was this looks like an ordinary steak house and nothing special. But after ordering the steak and rib combo I was surprised at the quantity of food they brought out. The steal was cooked exactly as ordered and the ribs were calling off the bone. I will go back again.

The food was great, I expect that at a Steakhouse. There I only gave them 3 stars because there was nothing spectacular about this place. However, I would definitely go again. & it was affordable… Dinner for 4 w/2 appetizers, a dessert around $ 120…not bad

I am not a big fan of steakhouses because our homemade steaks are hard to beat! I went to this location for lunch when my mom was in town. It was pretty empty and no one was in the front. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to notice that we were there waiting. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink order. The service that she provided was great, I would hope so since we were one of the few tables there. We got these jalapeño shooters and they were presented great and were visually appealing, and were also very tasty! I got a soup and salad for lunch. I got the chicken enchillada soup and a ceasar salad. The soup was not very good, and the salad was okay. The dressing was a little weak and didnt spice up the lettuce. I probably will not be visiting here again just because of the quality of food. My family seemed to enjoy their steaks however.

As far as steakhouses go… this one is pretty comparable to Outback or Texas Road House. We ordered the 6oz sirloin that was cooked as we ordered. The salad was atrocious, full of lettuce butts with browning to the edges and had cheap croutons in it. Our server was adequate, not really friendly, but not really rude either. My advise would be to call ahead to be put on the list to decrease wait time. We would eat here again next time in Shreveport.

The restaurant was pretty clean but the food was not very good and the service was horrible! The bartender was loudly bragging with a coworker about how he would ignore customers and refuse to serve them if they didn’t put their phones down immediately when he walked up to them and both coworkers were bragging about how many times they had been written up. Not enough times if you ask me!!! What a shame… could be a really nice place with proper staff…

We were immediately seated and the host was very polite. The restaurant looks clean for the most part. If you look closely at the decorations it’s obvious nothing has been dusted in quite some time. The large wine bottles for example are layered in dust. Kinda nasty. I ordered the trout with shrimp and lobster. The first bite I took filled my mouth with an intensely disgusting sour taste. It turns out the tomatoes were rotten. The waitress told me they come prepackaged so they threw away the entire bag. Wait… prepackaged? I thought the food here was made fresh? They can’t chop up tomatoes they order them pre-chopped? Good to know. The replacement dish was much better. I didn’t ask for any sort of compensation for the sour food or the extra 20 minute wait for the replacement because it’s a good way to guage a restaurants customer retention policies. When something like this happens the restaurant should offer compensation without the customer having to ask for it. Half off the dish, a free dessert, an apology from the manager with a 20% off coupon on the next or this visit. Something. We got nothing. They failed in customer retention. With very little effort from them I would be writing about how well they took care of me and apologized profusely for their mistake. Instead I’m writing this. They get three stars simply because we’ve been many times and this was the first bad experience we’ve really had. Update 7−17−14 Today I ordered a shaved sandwich that was nothing but gristle. The quality here is dropping. I have to give the manager credit for not charging me though.

I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance but the cards are officially off the table. Last night my boyfriend and I came in at 9:00pm for dinner. We were the only people in the restaurant and all the servers were busy cleaning up the place. There was a ton of yelling across the restaurant about«Who’s cleaning up 25? I have 22!» and«Is anyone helping those people?». We wondered the same question and were finally approached by a friendly waitress even if she wasn’t the best server. We were given a loaf of bread but no plates, asked for plates and received none. We asked for our steaks to be cooked medium well. For those of you unschooled in steak cooking(talking to you Longhorn chefs) that mean we’d like our meat with a pink line throughout the middle. Instead we received a charred ribeye steak that required an exceptional amount of chewing. For sides we ordered baked potatoes but we received mashed potatoes with cheese and sour cream on top after being informed that they were all out of baked potatoes and thought these would work out. Seriously? Couldn’t the server have spent a few minutes at least consulting us to see if we would like something else? Oh yeah! Remember how you are supposed to receive a salad with your steak? Yeah that was never even offered. We paid $ 50 for two crappy steaks and some boxed potatoes with copious amounts of sour cream and orange cheese. I’m not going back ever.

Longhorn Steakhouse gets one star only because drinks were good, maybe if we’d gotten our drinks refilled during our hour and half long meal I would’ve awarded them 2. But we didn’t get refills, or any kind of service and the food was… COLD. We first walked in and the greeter was great, maybe we should’ve just been happy with that and walked right back out but no we stayed and everything went downhill. There wasn’t many people and our waitress only had 3 tables so I’m not sure what her deal was with taking 10 min to come to our table to get our drink. When she finally shows ip she gets our drinks and apologizes for taking so long(I tell myself, Oh! She knows it shouldn’t take this long! She won’t do it again. I was wrong). We order out appetizer(Chips and dip. The description said seasoned, fresh kettle chips with a BBQ dip), appetizer takes 20 min to come out and we get bland, soggy, greasy potatoes, we eat the crispy ones and wait… And wait… And wait. Waitress shows up! With an overdressed salad and says nothing, drops off the salads and leaves. Mmk, we eat our salads and wait… And wait some more. Waitress picks up plates and says nothing and we wait some more. Finally our entrees arrive via another waiter, they are cold(I had Napa chicken with Pilaf, hub had Ribeye medium rare with mashed potatoes). My chicken is dry and hard to cut through from being grilled to death, the cold rice looks like someone chunked it on the plate, the steak is cold through and through and the potatoes look like plaster. There was no way you couldn’t just look at that food and not KNOW it was bad. When we finally see our waitress again we’ve barely touched our food, she asks how everything is and we ask for a box. As an afterthought our waitress asks if we want dessert, no thanks. I seriously wanted to talk to the Manager but my husband said let’s just leave and never come back. You don’t charge that much for such a crap meal and ignore your customers, that’s not how restaurants work.

Longhorn steakhouse gets one star because the lemonade was good(and because I don’t think I can submit a review with no stars). The lemonade and the hostess were the only good things at this restaurant. Service was slow, our waitress didn’t acknowledge us unless she had to(to take our orders and give us our check, that was pretty much it). Our meals were both overcooked(chicken grilled to a second death) and undercooked(cold Pilaf, steak medium rare COLD on the inside, mashed potatoes so cold they looked like dried out playdoh). In our hour and a half of mostly waiting we were not once asked if we wanted drink refills, brought the things we asked for(ranch, a spoon for our son) and obviously we weren’t offered desert. Not sure what the deal was because our waitress only had 3 tables(we were all being handled as slow as the next so I know it wasn’t personal, just careless and lazy.) The worst part is having a front row view of all the waiters/waitresses chatting it up in the kitchen while no one was being attended to. The food isn’t good, it’s expensive, the service sucks. Don’t go here.

Had a four dollar coupon and saw online that they had a two for $ 25 meal which includes either a dessert or appetizer. I called the phone number for the local restaurant and they said I could use the coupon with the special(Sweet!) At the spur of this moment, I asked the wife if she wanted to saddle up and bring the bebe along, but she told me I could just go and bring her back some takeout. When I got to the restaurant(at about 6pm on a Saturday night) there was already a lengthy wait, but no wait at the bar. I could order a meal and everything at the bar and the two bartenders were over-the-top friendly and helpful, but once in there, I just decided to order it all to go. They even told me the dessert I wanted to order, a Bananas Foster sundae, could be ordered to go. So, I just sat at the bar watching college basketball on one of the two flat screens(almost tourney time!) behind the bar and waited for my food(Two 6 oz sirloins(med and med well), two house salads(bleu cheese and ranch) a loaded bp and a side of steamed veggies, also the aforementioned dessert and a loaf of hot bread and butter. I waited at the bar(there is no separate takeout area) maaaaybe 20 minutes, and all my food arrived all bagged up and ready to go, even the ice cream, which was separated from its’ toppings to be dressed later. I got home and my wife, bebe and I chowed down on some Longhorn and it was goooood. All for about 22 bucks total. Not bad for a Saturday night steak dinner for two and a lil one!

Been in Shreveport for awhile but this was my first time eating here and ababy it was packed on a Friday night BUT they do have call ahead seating so it cut down our wait time to under 15 minutes… enjoyed the experience! They had a nice menu selection(several cuts of steak to choose from as well as numerous other entrees) but since it’s a steak house you gotta go with steak, right? Am I right or am I right? Of course I’m right!!! Got a nice bone-in Ribeye, cooked to perfection and it was some kinda good!!! Stuffed mushrooms for appetizer and they were delicious, waitress was attentive without being obtrusive and they mixed a damn good cocktail!!! Will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits… If you’re in the Port City and looking for a steak I think you’ll enjoy it.

We just moved to the area and stumbled on Longhorn… and so glad we did. Everything was excellent from the food to the service. The hostess was great and very nice to our 1 year old. Our server Mehgan was friendly and gave us very good recommendations even though the next table was being very rude to her. The bread they serve is really good. We had the spinach dip appetizer, excellent. Better than any I have had before. I had the Parmesan Chicken… and it was seriously a party to my taste buds! The Strawberry salad was also amazing. And for dessert we shared the Caramel Apple something or other… it was also very good. Glad we stopped in and can’t wait to go back! Oh and the price was great too… appetizer, 2 dinners, drinks, salads, and dessert…$ 68! That is awesome!

Stumbled upon LongHorn Steakhouse after driving aimlessly around Shreveport in search of grub. Nestled in suburbanshoppingstripheavenhell, we decided to take a chance since we were in the mood for steak. The staff was super friendly from the hostess to our waiter to the manager who came around asking how everything was. Food was good but not great. Nothing that would set it apart from a competitor in the food department. But, they have customer service on their side as I saw everyone being treated very well in our area. We started out with Wild West Shrimp… tiny fried shrimp. Was disappointed as I thought it would be shrimp of the larger variety. This was no different than popcorn chicken from your local fast food joint. Decided to splurge and go for the steak and lobster tail. Everything was freshly made and exactly to my order. The steak was juicy and just the right portion. The lobster tail had a bit too much butter but hey the menu did say butter. Food was 3 * but the staff added another star.
