Theres nothing special. To me just a sandwich shop. Not really poboys here. The meat is processed not off the bone. Just regular sandwiches. I had the tiger club. Why it comes with salty gravy for a salty sandwich… i dunno. Gravy dips in my opinion are for authentic crispy french bread. Are just good dry sandwiches period. Not hot wet ones. Got potatoe salad as a side and this was salty. Must be local taste or inatentiveness. Ok spot for a sandwich. Thats it.

I love this place. The sandwiches are large, fresh, and very tasty. Unfortunately they don’t have the traditional poboys(shrimp, fish, oyster), but they have a huge variety of hot and cold poboys. I’m a hot sandwich kinda guy, but I ended up with a cold one by chance one day and WOW, it was great. They have good sweet tea and great cookies. I hear the salads are really good too, but I wouldn’t know. Staff is always friendly as well. If you are an LSU fan you’ll love this placed that is mocked up in traditional purple and gold. I recommend the Ragin Cajun of the Cajun Clucker fully loaded on wheat. I always have a nice Arnold Palmer as well. Great for lunch.

Not really a Po boy in my opinion. I was in the Shreveport area and had a craving for an oyster poboy. Drove and found the place, but no seafood at all. Instead the Raging Cajun is just a Philly cheesesteak. Disappointed. It wasn’t bad but not good. Eh.

I remember somewhat vaguely but nonetheless assuredly a moment in time in the mid 1990’s, and a very instance in the twilight of one of those many electric youthful evenings, as a friend of mine and myself were dancing with this one quite striking damsel at a hot night club on Commerce Street downtown known then only as Malibu, and yes, as I have already said, we were both dancing with her, my friend and I, simultaneously, both of us fully involved in the act thereof, a la maybe«A Night At The Roxbury», but this had transpired some time before all of that had come about and into the public domain, nonetheless, we were focused, my friend and I, in the moment, gyrating as we were this one night, with this one lady in perfect choreography, and as we had many a night, this night and prior, away it all went into the humid air around us, time, youth, slipping away without anyone’s ever noticing not a thing, my 28×30 Girbauds were putting in a full night’s work on this eve, and as I put my hand upon her hip, I dipped, she dipped, we dipped, but alas this agreement in motion was momentary as the current song beat and pulsated over our heads, be it by that time maybe it was Crystal Waters(Gypsy Woman) or maybe it was Everything But The Girl(Missing)…it doesn’t really matter now, for at that point, our mutual dance partner pulled herself away from between us rather prematurely and announced matter-of-factly to us both, «I don’t do ‘the sandwich!’» And walked away with disgust off the dance floor. Leaving us both to ourselves in our own rum-fueled, yet rainbow-lit kaleidoscopic dance floor bewilderment. And still Everything But The Girl was right, I do miss her now, like the deserts miss the rain. But I say all of that to merely say this. If I were to see her today, after all these years, one of the first things I would say to her, is this: Here. Here is a sandwich you would do! Here is a sandwich you could do! For the sandwiches here may not be wrapped in well fit jeans nor bathed heavily in Drakkar Noir, as I once was, but they are still delicious nonetheless, and a true feast for all of your senses, just as I once was, in my early twenties. And the sandwich that I ordered here most recently, oddly enough, came with its very own dip. And like my hypnotic dance moves, a spicy dip it was in deed! I may not have been in Club Malibu twenty years ago with this particular sandwich, but I was in rhythmic bliss just the same! The sandwiches here, much like myself on the dance floor, are a sight to behold, and sometimes you just might even get an amazing dip to go with it.

Personally, I love their gravy the best, its spicy taste is better than all the others. :”) The BBQ chicken is sweet and the gravy is spicy. When I dipped the BBQ chicken in the gravy, the taste is just —- awwwesome! ^_~ I know it sounds like a French Dip but it’s the way I devour my po-boy. lol But if you can’t handle hot and spicy, don’t try. I don’t want to see tears in your eyes. lol I like to go there in the morning period so I never see crowded or packed, and the service is always lovely. P. S. Make sure to tell them if you don’t like Jalapeño peppers because some items have them even though the menu doesn’t listed them. :“O

I picked up to-go orders for my office yesterday. They weren’t ready when promised, and I had to wait a bit. However, the employees were very friendly and the place was very busy. Three of us got po-boys and one got a salad. I had the turkey ragin Cajun. It was large enough for two meals. A unique sandwich. I loved the olives and the lower fat turkey(versus the regular Cajun). However it was very messy. Don’t know if it was cheese or mayo or both. Definitely not the best choice for eating at work! Also very spicy. Lots of jalapeños. I like spice, but even I had to stop and drink water a few times! My co worker couldn’t finish hers because of the heat. The person who got the salad said it was ok. It looked good to me because it had tons of olives(she didn’t like olives). Will definitely return but will probably try something different.

Love these sandwiches! Rajun Cajun is my favorite-their take on a Philly cheesesteak, but with spicy flair. Friendly and courteous… oh and they love LSU, as you will immediately figure out from the décor. You won’t be disappointed. :)

Ragin Cajun is my favorite sanwich of all time, yes bold statement. Too bad the location isn’t the best, easy to miss. Why would you ever eat at subway ever again???

I moved away from Louisiana ten years ago. When I come home I always want some good«back home”-food. I went to Po-Boy Express. I had the Ragin’ Cajun Po-Boy. It was made to order. The«Express» part of the name is fitting. My Po-Boy was EPIC! The sweet tea was almost as good as my mother’s, but nothing beats the sweet tea made in mom’s kitchen tho. To top off everything almost everything in there was purple and gold. I’ll be back next time I come back to Louisiana.
