Strand Theatre of Shreveport

The Strand is one beautiful gem of a theater. Shreveport is lucky to have it. They do a good job of taking care of the building and bringing in great shows.

Michael Vick? Seriously? If I could give negative stars I would. To stoop so low as to provide a performance space for Michael Vick you have got to be pretty desperate and pathetic. I’m sure you’ll have quite the turnout in Shreveport. Between my pitbull loving rescue buddies that will be protesting more than likely and the low life, ghetto trash that would actually pay to see him perform it will be more parked than ever! Way to go Shreveport, just when I thought you couldn’t stoop any lower, you prove me wrong. You should be ashamed Strand.

BEAUTIFUL venue! I love this place!!!

This place, I mean PALACE, is a southern treasure, a state treasure and undoubtedly a Shreveport treasure. I saw Blue Man Group here last night, as a belated birthday present from my wife (We’ve always wanted to catch them out in Vegas at the Venetian, but usually get distracted by something else or other once we’re out there, which is easy to do!). The show was amazing! It was one of the most energetic, intensely creative and funny live performances I have EVER seen! We LOVED it! We are so thrilled to have finally caught their show after all these years! And there’s no place we would have rather seen BMG other than The Venetian! The Strand was the perfect host for this show! We LOVE this venue! (This review is an update! See my previous review here on Unilocal!) We are VERY excited about this upcoming season at The Strand! BMG plays one more show here tonight at 8pm. Catch it if you can! It’s fantastic!
