Went to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and got a table right away– our waitress did a great job and food was good too — overall a good experience but the service overall was a little slow

A lot of you might know me as Worcester’s «Second Best» waitress, an honor I’ve held for nearly half a decade. I enjoyed a lucrative career waiting tables in the finest establishments Central Mass has to offer, but I gave up this life of prestige to begin a Master of Arts in Teaching at Clark University last May. No big deal. Taking off my apron for the final time was bittersweet, but this leap into academia was all about the kids. I took solace in the fact that while I might never reek of oily roasted garlic again, the smell of oily roasted garlic would live on in my heart forever as I spread knowledge to the youth of America as a future high school history teacher. I spent the year living my life under a relentless flood of lesson planning and grad school assignments. I felt helpless as I lost touch with friends and family in order to begin mastering best practice techniques that would encourage my students to think like historians and appreciate the past. When my program ended in May, I cautiously re-entered the world I had left behind a year ago. My weary eyes couldn’t believe the changes I had missed while I was busy balancing the expectations of my professors with the reality of teaching in an inner city. I ventured across the new White City bridge like a tourist in a foreign land, barely recognizing the hometown I had almost forgotten. Spags had been demolished, Blockbuster was a ReadyMed, and Chili’s had been replaced with a Hooters. I would be too busy reconnecting with my long lost family to visit Hooters on that clear spring day, but I knew that it was only a matter of time… A few weeks later, my boyfriend and I found ourselves searching for lunch after finishing some errands in Westborough. This was supposed to be my graduation day at Clark, but I chose not to walk due to complicated reasons that I will not air out on Unilocal. We wanted to go somewhere special, so we could properly celebrate my brand new master’s degree. As we drove down Route 9, I saw the abandoned Price Chopper parking lot give way to those bubbly orange letters that acted like a beacon. The sign said Hooters, but for me, it spelled freedom. Hooters wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but there were a few pockets of Vineyard Vine bros sitting at the bar. The hostess was friendly and she happily sat us right away. Our waitress Demi was attentive throughout our dining experience. She quickly brought us our drinks and gave us the perfect amount of time to decide on our lunch. Nate chose the«Western BBQ Burger» with fried pickles, while I had«Hooter’s Original Buffalo Chicken Salad». Demi cheerfully informed me about the buffalo sauce temps(mild, medium, or hot) and didn’t even flinch when Nate requested no onions on his burger. Nate and I were able to enjoy some college softball on the big screens as well as each other’s company until our meals arrived about fifteen minutes later. When Demi checked in on us shortly after we began eating, we were happy to report that everything was amazing. I originally made fun of Nate for choosing fried pickles as his side, I thought it was kind of a weird move. Well, I wound up eating both my words and most of his fried pickles, because they were awesome. My salad was huge, but not overwhelming, and I was impressed with the chef’s mastery of balancing my mildly spicy buffalo chicken tenders with freshly diced tomatoes and bleu cheese. During my time as a waitress, I held myself to the highest possible standards. I mean, achieving«Second Best» status is no walk in the park. The staff that we interacted with at Hooter’s were personable and exceeded my expectations. Nate and I were able to unwind and celebrate my accomplishments from the past year. As I slowly began feeling like a human being again, I sensed that this lunch was the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. I scrolled through my Facebook feed filled with members of my cohort graduating while Nate paid the bill, and felt so happy knowing that even though we weren’t together, my classmates and I were all exactly where we were meant to be.

Slow service & awkward service. I came in with some of my friends(party of 5) it took about 25 minutes for someone to finally check if we needed anything. The food was okay, nothing special. The waitress who was taking care of our table was super awkward and messed up my friend’s order twice. Not coming back.

I have gone to Hooters several times. But the trouble is that the service is iffy. Sometimes you don’t get acknowledged when you are waiting for a host or hostess, to indicate they know you’re there and you wait when it’s not terribly busy. They often forget what you order, or don’t give you the order you asked for. The food, is ok, depending on what you order. But I would rather go here than the other wing place down the street.

Very poorly ran, service is slow and when you call for a pick up order rarely does someone answer the phone

I’ll break the review down by sections. FOOD: Hit or miss. Didn’t try the wings. My party of 3 split a pretzel & cheese dip app. My friend has the 4 slider app as his meal. My husband and I both had the Western burger. Pretzel app was delicious. Soft, warm pretzels & gooey cheese dip with a bit of spice! Definitely recommend. Friend said sliders were okay. Burgers were awful. Supposed to come with bacon; there was none on either burger. Too much bbg sauce. It made the bun soggy & the burger messy to eat. The burger itself wasn’t cooked enough either. Husband didn’t like his either. Curly fries came with the burgers & the slider app. Those were also really good! Crispy but not burnt. Perfectly salted & tasted fresh, not frozen. SERVICE: Started off shaky but got better. You seat yourself, and my party chose a table near the bar. We waited for about 15 minutes after arrival for a server to stop by & greet us, take our drink order. Put our whole order in at once when our waitress did finally show up. After that, she was pretty good. Stayed on top of our drink refills. ATMOSPHERE: Fun! Lots of TVs. Servers make it a fun place to hang out. Good energy. Overall, I think Hooters is okay. There were definitely a few missteps. I’d like to come back to try the wings. I feel like this will be a good spot to come for beer, apps & wings. I’ll probably stay away from the entrée part of the menu though.

I went to this hooters for the first on sunday. I definitely will NOT be going back! The servers were nice and friendly but the forks and knives were FILTHY, they looked like they never got washed after the last people used them. My table had 5 people and all 5 of us had dirty utensils, if they won’t bother washing the forks and knives i’m gonna need them to invest in disposable utensils. The food was nasty, buffalo wild wings does wings way better. Hooters wings tasted like frozen wings that were thawed, same goes for their fries. I have no clue why everyone praises this place so much.

First impression is everything, with that being said I’ll never go here again. First me and my fiancé walk in to a place named«hooters» and see anything but but Ok strike one, then I take a seat and waitress comes over and was completely awkward, not only did she not introduce the first time customers to the restaurant but I asked her a simple question about my drink and speeds of without excusing herself. strike two, then I get the my drink«top shelf Long Island» and it’s sooo bad tasted like strait triple sec and the waitress stormed off after leaving it. i wait another 10 min for her to come back, by this point I’m annoyed and very disappointed. Never again I’d much rather go to Buffalo Wild Wings. Bad experience, bad service & a lost customer

Last night my boyfriend and I went to hooters. It was an okay at best experience. The place was very busy so I knew we’d have maybe some slow service but I had no idea it would be THAT slow. To start off we got margaritas.(+2 stars) They were SO delicious. Took forever to get them but very good. Only complaint is barely any salt on the rim. The food was so delicious we started off with the pretzal bites. melt in your mouth delicious(+1 star) I got the sliders with chicken for my meal and my boyfriend got a burger. Both were mediocre. I asked for extra bleu cheese, no pickle. My boyfriend simply asked for no onion. Our food came out with all of these on them and I got no bleu cheese at all. Our server was very awkward and checked on us with our mouths full. Bad timing every time. I will return on a hopefully less busier day and hopefully have a speedier and efficient service.

Ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. Very tender and juicy. The beers are also reasonable and served in 24 oz mugs. Sat at the bar and got great service.

Went on a Saturday night. The wait was 35 minutes for a table. We sit down and order wings and fries right away. 45 minutes later our appetizers arrived and its all cold. We didn’t get the chance to decide if the food was good or not. The manager and waitress were extremely understanding when we decided to cancel our dinner order and leave. Would give it another chance at a less busy time.

Honestly, this was my first time at the hooters in shrewsbury. I am disappointed. Ive been to other hooters. This was prob the worst. The food was mediocre. The service was extremely slow. I would have had like 4 drinks but waitress was so slow I only had 2. Didn’t even want to deal with waiting for a third. Prob waiting Atleast 30 mins for the food… we didn’t even order that much. Prob will not come to this one again.

Bartenders didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine. That was entertaining to watch.(No, I wasn’t the one who ordered wine). Service fro beginning to end was nonexistent. … Application requirements are knowledge of make-up painting and hairology. Should require service skills

Hooter’s make you Happy!!! I love Hooters, having been a Hooter girl myself back in Florida I came in ready to enjoy a great game and some great food. This location did not dissapoint. Our server was lovely, very attentive and our food came out quick and tasty. And who doesn’t love $ 3.00 shots!!! I will absolutely be back here for the next round of college football.

OK, yes, I was one of those people who thought, «Why is Hooters coming to Shrewsbury?» But I’ve always been curious about the quality of food and ambience inside, so I just HAD to try it out. Tonight, my opinion changed. It was packed full of people, from men to women to even children. The waitresses weren’t slutty looking at all(alright, maybe I did take a glance at their buttocks that were hanging out– I am a straight female, comfortable with my sexuality), and there was definitely diversity in the staff. My friend and I ordered their onion rings and a plate of their original wings. A little pricey, but they both tasted good. The wings were crispy, just the way I like them. Our waitress, Chelsea, was very polite and I liked her energy. The only reason I took off a star was because they gave us the wrong wings at first, but they brought out the right ones very quickly and even refunded our onion rings as an apology. The restaurant could also use a cleaning crew(floors were dirty), but I understand that it’s a busy restaurant packed full with people on a weekend night. Overall, I would definitely come back here. Both service and food was great.

I am writing this review for my recent visit at Hooters I encountered a waitress who is fabulous her name is Kelly I think she was a redhead blonde she was extremely helpful and professional and best of all fun Most food and beverage people I’ve met in establishments lack personality enthusiasm for the jobs but Kelly was truly informative about the food at hooters Kelli made me the customer feel like I made the right choice in selecting the food that I did. it was so delicious and yummy. Often in our every day life we neglect to see how one person can make a difference Kelly is that person she made my food experience at Hooters fun informative and worthwhile going as a therapist I encounter people from all walks of life with many issues so So when I’m out and about looking for a place to eat I’d like to have a pleasant experience and I think it’s worthwhile to go to Hooters and if you do ask for Kelly so as I did I told two friends they turned out and they told two friends hopefully they got the great service I did

The wait was inexcusable. Once seated, had to wait another 10 minutes before waitress even came to wait on us, then even longer to get our drinks and food. The appetizer came after we received our meal, which was cold and hard & wrong. Waitress tried to blame kitchen, however, the chicken was cold and hard which means it had been sitting waiting for her to pick it up and bring it to us. Waitress did more flirting with other patrons then actually her job which was waiting on customers!
