I like this lumber yard because the people who work there are helpful and knowledgable, its location is close to our home, and they have had certain products I couldn’t find at Lowes. I appreciate businesses that are run by people not huge corporations. Insofar as the reviewer who complained about them calling police because they bought lawn ferilizer in December I would mention that the Oaklaha bomber was white. How sad that no one was concerned enough about Tim McVey’s odd purchases to report him before he blew up children, adults and a building. I think its great the people at this store reported odd purchase behavior that one might see in a potential terrorist. Its a shame the person exhibiting red flag behavior is so vindictive about someone calling him on it.

My cousin bought lawn fertilizer from this place and they reported us to the Police. Shrewsbury Police detective was laughing when they called us to investigate it. Looks like if you are not white you are not welcome at this place.

I helped my elderly neighbor replace the front wheel on her wheelbarrow. I took it off, and she brought it to buy a new replacement. She goes to Monmouth Building Center (closest place). They wanted $ 59.00… for a wheel! She goes to Home Depot, and get’s it for $ 19.99!!!
My suggestion to Homeowners… leave this place to the contractors! STAY AWAY… STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!
And if you’re a homeowner, and you get a high quote from a contractor, ask them if the buy their materials from Monmouth Building Center?

I have never written a negative review, but I can’t stop myself. This store is terrible! I am so tired of rude guys who think their cool because they work in a hardware store. Seriously! Get over yourselves. Stopped in yesterday FOR THE LAST TIME!!!
I can buy paint somewhere else! Anywhere else!
