Speaking only of the root beer float as I have not sampled their food, one word — YUCK. The root beer tasted faintly of Pepto Bismol and I’m not quite sure that we did not get diet root beer if they serve it. I literally poured the rootbeer out on the ground in hopes the hard ice cream would save the $ 2.35 I just paid. The vanilla ice cream must be of a very cheap brand that one finds in the back of an old Chinese buffet with yellow coloring and ice crystals that it was not even palatable. And I’m not picky about my ice cream. The only positive of this experience was the polite and quick curbside service that day. I won’t be back to sample the food since a root beer stand can’t get a float right.

Probably another place relying solely on nostalgia. Hotdogs nondescript, boiled, and fairly bland. Root beer tasted like every other fountain root beer. Fries were good but actually not oily enough(odd to say not enough oil) to allow for salt adherence. Great location for a place. Right next to a park and within walking distance from the downtown. Sorry, I had high hopes based upon other reviews. Could really be something if you put some money and effort into it and not just settle for mediocre.

Absolutely the best hotdogs(any way you want them) and rootbeer(in a FROSTEDMUG) in OH. Also of mention are: the thick crinkle cut french fries, shredded chicken sandwiches, Jiffy burgers, and frozen candy bars. This is a must experience for anyone visiting Sidney!
