I stopped in because I was doing business in the area and saw their famous hamburger slogan. I asked for their «famous» burger and soon recived a kirby burgar. It is a double cheeseburger with onions. It’s was good. Maybe not absolutely best burger I had ever had but still very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stop again and try some of there other menue options.

Kirby’s is a Sikeston institution. It’s been around forever and it’s time for them to change up a few things. The Kirby burger is two patties with onions and isn’t too bad. However, they put the pickles underneath the sandwich in the basket. This leads to a soggy bottom bun that immediately falls apart. Yuck! The fries and onion rings are standard food service frozen items. Get the fried okra instead, it easily stands above the rest and is some of the best I’ve had.

A real old time style, retro café. Staff was friendly, conversations lively, and manager was personable. It is off the beaten path and near downtown. We would go there again. Chili fries and a Kirby burger? What a package. You won’t go away hungry. The fare is pretty much Mid– American and the atmosphere is truly Heartland style.
