Anyone place. Cant get enough of this place. Found my bar to go. Football and all sports seasons, live music, and amazing food. Keep up the great work and will defiantly be back very soon.

We went for a birthday a few weeks back when Wayne Toups played after Thanksgiving! It was a nice place with a few exceptions. The bar still allows indoor smoking which made for a stinky, hard to breathe experience. I USEDTOSMOKEANDLITERALLYCOULDN’T BREATHEUNDERTHESTALEAIR. My parents left after 20 minutes due to choking on the heavy smoke and thats after 20 minutes trying to find parking. The parking lot is a free for all– anywhere you can squeeze your vehicle(pray you dont get hit) situation. We reserved tables and ended up being shoved into the far right corner directly in front of the Womens bathroom off thr side of yhe stage. We were constantly asked to move due to traffic in and out of the restroom and crowded by the women waiting in line! Service was slow and we ended up with a bucket of beer and no ice? The upside is the large dancefloor and great sound! To drive the hour we did to get to this bar, I can say it wasn’t worth the money or the time. I was extremely disappointed!

I ventured to my Dad’s hometown of Silsbee, Texas for the 4th Annual Battle for the Paddle washer tournament and BBQ cookoff. This was a great event to raise money for the Boys and Girls club. The majority of the event was held out back in the large grassy area. It was a beautiful day and it seems a great time was had by all. Once the BBQ cookoff had ended, everyone went inside for the judges to announce the results. After judging a live band played the rest of the night. The band was great. They played all kinds of classic country songs and even a few new ones. The venue was much larger than I expected. There was a huge dance floor and many tables spread all around the sides and in the bar area up front. One odd thing? The bar did not have tonic water. No vodka or gin and tonics could be served. That was a bit of a disappointment. After the long day of cold Bud Lights we needed to eat again so we headed over to the kitchen which had a short order window. All items on the menu were frozen and fried upon ordering. The chicken strips and fries were still pretty good though, but we had been drinking for a while, so who knows if they were really all that good. All in all if I am ever in Silsbee again I’d happily stop by «The Tonk» for some cold ones.
