Harmony Lakeside RV Park

Smaller than the map looks but a very friendly place. Was packed full this weekend but it was still quiet enough to enjoy. No good beach access, everyone was going to the state park. My only real complaint was the garbage cans were overflowing, went the entire Saturday without being emptied. Spots are pretty small but totally useable. We will definitely be back.

Very happy Mother of The Bride! My daughter selected this venue for her special day. Harmony just hosted their first wedding and it was awesome! The staff was wonderful, very helpful and professional. The grounds were beautiful and what great scenery! I can’t say enough good things about Kelly and Joyce. They answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed.

This is a great park — a little confusing to find your way around but well maintained and the staff is very cordial. It’s right on Mayfield Lake with a path from the main park to the lake. No place for kids to swim but great boat launching etc. It was quiet and they have a great dog run across the street. It’s only a few miles into town for something to eat and about 30 miles drive to Paradise at Mt Rainier. We definitely would stay here again. They have a terrific wi fi. Our son lives just a few miles from the park so we were able to visit. The rules? We weren’t ‘t bothered by them — it’s what keeps the place operating smoothly. Maybe the owner had a reason to be upset hmmm

Strict rules, but nice and quiet getaway. I know there is a reviewer not happy with the rules here, but these rules lead to a very pleasant getaway. There is no possible way not to know the rules if you can read English because you agree to them when you make a reservation, get a printed version when you check in and are reminded of them by the numerous signs throughout the park (hence 4 instead of 5 stars).
Clean semi private sites with fire pits, and right on the lake. You must pay a quarter for 4 minutes of hot shower, but the bathrooms are vey clean.
It’s about an hour from mt St. Helens and rainier so there is plenty to do in the area.

We had a great time. Great RV park. The people were very friendly. We will stay again.
That was an unfair review. The reason for no camp fire’s is because if the statewide fire band. And they wouldn’t put the fire out. It took them 2 ½ hrs to put it out.

Hmmf. I guess I am only the second person or so to review on this place or at least the second showing.
So I read the review before this and was like WTF? We had a most enjoyable experience. I don’t know who he is talking about on the cart, but everyone seemed so nice! The only one complaint I had was our neighbors that came in the second day we were there, not going to take that away from the park though. Not their fault when some rifff raff comes in.
So we arrived Friday night in the evening– just before the office closed. Came in right to our spot then checked in. No problems there. It’s a family run place and we didn’t have any problems at all. No fire ban when were there. It was also very clear on the website that it was an RV/​Cabin place no tent camping. I wondered about this, as we wanted friends to join us but found out later no can do. That was too bad, but was fine.
I think too the sitemap wasn’t very intuitive when you went to look for the park map, you should have that stuff spelled out. Had to really dig around for that one. Saturday it rained, Sun we rented a boat and went out on the lake. Everything we experienced was seamless. We would definitely go back again and recommend if you are out this way. I rather liked the place. You swim and fish here. you have to take a boat out to fish, they don’t want you fishing off the pier, also you can swim at your own risk at the gravel bar area, not by the boating area.

I concur with Lisalisa F completely. This place is a complete joke! Some of the rudest people I have ever met. If you don’t want to camp where you feel like you are being watched like a hawk every second then this is not the place for you. If you have kids they will yell at them if they touch the wrong rock! There is no place to swim so don’t be fooled! We are teachers with 2 very we’ll behaved children and we were reprimanded so many times In the first hour and accused of not watching our kids 20 feet away that we packed up and left. It is very apparent this is not a family oriented place and kids are not welcome. The only thing I would recommend is never stepping foot in this place! It will ruin your trip!

While no place is perfect, Harmony Lakeside is about as close to it as we’ve found since we started RV camping.
The staff is efficient yet friendly. Yes, there are rules, but we’ve been to places where «almost anything goes», and we prefer the rules.
The sites run from always sunny to always shady, (the shady one is our favorite) and accommodate any size RV or trailer.
The paths and roads are well maintained and the area was so peaceful that we frequently saw deer near the grounds. (We had wild blackberries with every breakfast.)
The hookups were maintained better than anywhere else we’ve visited.
Harmony will be on our «must go» list every year.

The hospitality here is shameful.
Be warned… be sure to read and search for ALL the litany of «rules» & «regulations» on their website before booking this place. I think a Boeing contract has easier to read terms & conditions… but according to Harmony RV… the rules are for my «comfort, safety and well-​being»

1. We got yelled at for the fire in the fire pit and were told to let it burn out… so we were when the 70-​year old blue hair tyrant riding a golf cart (not a broom) flew in 5 minutes later screeching about a burn ban. 20 minutes later a 3^rd person came and made us throw dirt on it. Fine… whatever…we went to bed.
2. Then we get told to either remove the 2 person tent behind our 24 foot camping trailer or LEAVE. Then the hyperventilating woman shoves a 1 page list of rules in Cambria size 9 font into my face. I told her that NOWHERE on their website does it say no tents or I would not have stayed here. Then I am told I can LEAVE IMMEDIATELY if I do not take down the tent. At this point the woman needs a Xanax she is so wound up. Since we were hiking Rainier that day, we decided to stay.
3. The excessive amount of freaking dogs at this place!!! Every.single.campsite.has.a.dog.
One barks… they all bark. This place has ZERO rules about the disruption of my comfort and well-​being having to listen to the chorus of dogs non-​stop. There is a dog field, dog park, reminder signage everywhere of a dog squatting to take a dump …“scoop your poop” because the tyrant on wheels is watching.
4. The posted 10 mph speed limit. I can assure you that the tyrant on wheels does NOT adhere to her own rules. She flies around on that golf cart at least pushing 20 – 25 mph and when she is not driving it, they are all walking around monitoring everyone. It was really invasive and not a pleasant experience.
5. There is NO spot for anyone to swim OR fish. This is contrary to what I saw on the website.
6. The BEST thing about this whole weekend was walking ¼ mile up the road and buying farm fresh organic eggs from one of the neighbors AND the wonderful U-​pick Blueberry farm before you get back onto Hwy 12. Those two things made the rude, impolite owner and her monkeys at least tolerable.
Consider yourselves warned

This is a great RV park that is right on the water, it is a small place but it is quite and clean. It is not cheap but the bathrooms are EXCELLENT. They make you pay 25 cent to use the hot water but if you come here in a RV and don’t want to use your Rig, then you can afford 25 cent. The bathroom is tile in ceramic and you have private showers. There is gravel roads but well maintain; all of the sites are pull thru, a good thing because after a long day of traveling, pull thru’s are a good thing.
There is a dock near the water and they don’t want you to fish at the pier but their is a fish cleaning system. Don t worry taking your bike, because the park is too small to ride around. If you are a ham radio operator, it is a perfect place to to speak in the mic.
