At my mother’s request to «get a real hat» I came here to Andrea’s. Convenient to downtown Silver Spring with non-metered parking available behind the store, I had to at least stop by and check out the merchandise. They have a variety of hats for both women and men. They have fancy hats, casual hats, business hats, firm hats, soft hats, hats with feathers… whatever kind of hat you want, they probably have it. I’m no hat person but I definitely grew up in a place where good woman wore hats that were SHARP! Andrea’s is definitely a place that will accomplish that. When I walked in, I had a flash back to a time when my mother would take me shopping at the old boutique stores in New Haven. There were several people there. Some were working helping patrons, others were comfortable in the leather chairs by the door and others were checking out the hats on their own. I was immediately welcomed, asked what I was looking for and then the old school service began. I tried on many hats and the woman was very attentive and patient. I tried on like 15+ hats. As we went along, the lady also helped me to learn what I should be looking for in the styles of hats and how it should fit on my head. As the lady was helping me I saw the other attendants were just as attentive to others. Although I have a lot of hair(size discrimination– most lady’s hats are one size fits all, men’s hat have multiple sizes) I was able to find an age appropriate hat that matched by sassy personality and some flair of it’s own. What really sells me on Andrea’s and will make me a repeat customer is the feel of this place-they made me comfortable. I could take my time and really find something that worked for me. One woman even removed her wig so she can try on hats. Now you know you have to be comfortable to pull off your wig in a store, mid Saturday afternoon. This also tells you the hats must be worth it because ladies just don’t remove wigs in public for no reason. Quality products + personalized service+ reasonable price points= Repeat Customers. I’ll be coming to Andrea’s in the winters from now on to ensure I have a «real hat» to go with my coats.

I love going to Miss Andrea’s! Even though I am not a «hat person» myself, I love this quaint store. My Mom who lives 3+ hours away always ask me to take her to «that nice little hat store over by where you used to live.» When my Mom is looking for the right hat for an outfit, she ask me to run by and see if Andrea’s has something to match. Today, I asked Mom what she wanted for Mother’s Day, and she said«Send me the link to her website so I can see her hats.» LOL Momma wants a new hat. Andrea’s is my go to for Mother’s Day & Birthdays.

I’ve purchased many hats from Andrea and I have been more than satisfied with each my purchases, no exception. Regardless of my purchase being a Kangol, beret, Dobbs, Biltmore, or Borsalino, Andrea’s Fine Hats is first class. This store reminds me of the fine hat stores for men and women from the 50’s and mid 60’s, only she is in a class all to herself. Do yourself a favor, if you want a first class, stylish hat, visit this store and this store ONLY! You won’t be disappointed! Rick Toye

A beautiful store with a wonderful array of hats. The saleswoman spent a great deal of time with me, helping me match my hat to a dress I had brought with me. She was exceptionally patient and had a great sense of humor. I would most definitely return to this fine store.

Stylish hats for men and women. I was on a hunt for a cute hat to wear to a vintage themed wedding event. It’s not on a noticeable street and is part of an older retail strip of Silver Spring. The service was very good and professional and made me feel very warm and fuzzy being that everyone was my parents/grandparents age. On the downside, I thought the merchandise was pricey even with the sale price. But I’m new to buying fancy hats and I noticed the price was comparable to some boutiques in Georgetown/Dupont, etc.
