Dr. Bisk is a nice person and a competent doctor. The office is a disaster, however. I eventually left her practice because I could only schedule routine appointments months in advance, and for my last acute problem the office told me I had to go to the urgent care clinic rather than coming to the office. When I changed to another doctor I asked them to send my medical records. They charged me $ 107 for this, based on an arbitrarily high cost per page for copying. I never received a bill for this – rather they immediately enlisted a collection agency, which sent me a letter containing threats! I then paid the amount immediately, but then 4 weeks later got another letter from the collection agency, with escalated threats! Now I have to follow up with the collection agency to make sure they don’t destroy my credit rating! Who need this kind of aggravation? Consider this fair warning that the office management is extremely poor, if not outright malevolent.

I used to be have Dr. Bisk as my primary care physician before I moved out of the area six months ago. I really miss the office. My family back in Maryland still goes to the office and loves it. Dr. Bisk is a great physician — she has great bedside manner and gave me the best and most thorough physical I have ever gotten. She gave me great referrals for problems that needed to be addressed elsewhere, and called to check up on me after the appointments. What more do you need from a primary care physician? Another great thing about the office is how close other great practitioners are. I had quite a medical catastrophe in Summer ’07, and when the doctors at this practice could not figure it out, they sent me over to the eye doctor downstairs(forcing them to squeeze me in even though I am not a patient), and then took me back and pre-called the hospital so I could get checked in. It was great service and I felt like the office was really caring for me every step of the way. The office does not take new patients very easily and I believe asks that you get a physical as your first appointment. I had to schedule my first appointment in the office six months in advance. Not a problem for a physical really, but could be if you’re looking for a new primary care physican right there, right now.
