My first gas station restaurant to somewhat dissapoint. A sad sad day. I got the beef noodle soup… expecting some take on the Szechuan favorite… but got a salt brother with a bunch of vegetables you find in every Chinese combination dish. It also had the beef from like the«beef and broccoli» dish. ¾ inch wide by 1 ½ inch long pieces of not so quality beef. The saving grace was the dumplings. The dumplings were served with this D-LICIOUS red tinted sauce. It was almost sweet and savory. Don’t get me wrong– the soup wasn’t horrible. I did eat all of it. But compared to other Chinese in the area… it just doesn’t hold a candle. I thought especially with such a close proximity to the Asian Market right behind it, it might be a little more authentic.

No, not the best Chinese you’ve had in your life but it wins for two reasons: 1. Hot and sour soup is made to order. Most hot and sour soup from asian carryouts tend to be vegan to save a penny or two. This hot and sour soup not only had wood ear, eggs, but it had CHICKEN. I don’t remember the last time I had hot and sour soup that had chicken in it, nevertheless in a GASSTATION chinese restaurant. Tasty too! 2. Cheese wontons(«crab rangoon in other places) are NOT in cornerless pouches like Panda Wok nearby! I might be stretching it with this one, but it’s a plain triangle, but jesus christ, at least it had two corners. I guess the others were such an abomination that I consider any wonton with corners decent. I prefer the little 4 corner pouch shape, but if you can have corners, GOODFORYOU. Not a lot of «crab»(chopped surimi) but it was overfilling with cheese. And the mumbo sauce here is unique– its not simply a slightly spicy sweet and sour like many other places– there’s a tobasco-y(vinegary and spicy), smoky quality to it and it is slightly thinner. The wings here are decent, but unlike other restaurants, they count their wings like wing restaurants(single joints such as drumlettes) rather than whole wings like other chinese places so don’t get fooled into thinking you’re getting a bargain. They are relatively large wings though. Unfortunately I have not eaten an actual entrée here so do take this review with a grain of salt. The credit card minimum here is also only 5 dollars so you won’t be forced into buying 10 – 15 dollars of chinese food when you want only one thing. Service is very friendly as well!

I guess it is what you would expect for gas station chinese food. I felt like the white rice was stale. The wonton soup was much darker than I am used to but really good and seemed fresh.

I randomly was cravings chinese from somewhere I have never been. I simply wanted to pick it up. I found China Best near me, ordered and began driving to it. I couldnt find the place! I was driving around looking everywhere and I felt like an idiot. Finally I called them and they helped me locate it. It is inside of a gas station. I know I know this sounds dirty. My boyfriend gives me a hard time telling me Im crazy for liking chinese food made from inside a gas station store. But regardless, I LOVEIT! I dont know why… all my favorites are so tasty. Egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. I especially like their sweat and sour chicken because it’s small fried pieces. Not necessarily the best fried food but so delicious!!! They deliver too
