UPDATE: The owner finally called back after reviewing this Unilocal posting end of October a whole 8 weeks later. He stated he’ll pay for my broken desk and get a check out to me and to email him my address. Which, I did, and sent two follow-up emails and a 12 months later NOCHECK! DON’T DOIT!!!

On Friday, October 19th, I was supposed to be moved by City’s Moving through HireAHelper. I was told that this company had great reviews and when they said they could do a last minute move for me, I was more than grateful. However, they were scheduled to load up my storage POD between 3−4pm. They had received the job but never confirmed the details. Jose, the owner, claimed that it was HireAHelpers fault and that he did not know I needed the job done, which I later found out was a lie. Further, I called HireAHelper to notify them of the conflict and they called Jose to see if it could be resolved. He agreed to do a 6−7pm move. When the representative from HaH contacted me at 6:15pm, she said that Jose claimed they were enroute as of 40 minutes ago. I tried to call Jose but there was no answer. Finally, around 6:45pm there was an email that City’s Moving had confirmed the job. I immediately called Jose again and he made up the excuse that it «was so last minute… blah blah blah». I asked if they were enroute in which he replied that«I can be there in… in…in.in…30 minutes» Are you kidding me!!! So I told him to not bother even coming and called HireAHelper back to cancel the job and make sure nobody else had to go through this whole ordeal. Do not trust these shady guys. I don’t even want to give them 1 star because they are such a poor excuse for movers. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!
