Douglas G Drewyer, DDS MA

I’ve been going to Dr. Drewyer for years (!). The office is well run, I never have to wait for my appointment. He keeps up with all of the relevant latest technology and he and the rest of the staff provide excellent preventive cleanings. Looking for a dentist in the Silver Spring area? Look no further!

I found Dr. Drewyer in the Washingtonian Magazine in an article about the best dentists in the area. The article surveyed local dentists about their views on other dentists’ work. Since my old dentist was a puppy kicking sadist who always squeezed my time between patients in other chairs, I thought I’d see if Drewyer lived up to the billing. The article was right; he did!
Drewyer did the most complete assessment of my teeth that I could have imagined. I was accustomed to x-​rays but Drewyer has a bevy of digital pictures, laser imaging and who knows what else. As a technical person, I appreciate someone who keeps up with new techniques and Drewyer certainly seems to be up to speed.
Then Drewyer actually sat down with me and discussed everything that he wanted to do. We went through each picture and each technique. He did not charge for the visit; he just wanted to make sure that we were in agreement on the course of action.
When he finally pulled out the heavy equipment, I never felt a thing. Actually, I almost nodded off in the chair. Unbelievable!
I’ve been 3 times and I’ve never been kept waiting. Each time, I’ve gotten back to work exactly when I expected.
It seems odd to say that I enjoyed visiting the dentist but I really did.
