Dr Agnes Bolus- Alignay DDS

Dr. Alignay came highly recommend from our next-​door neighbor. My wife and I have both been and I have an appointment for my son in Feb 2015 (I’ll write an update after that visit). So far, I’ve only had cleanings and general check-​ups done here. I have a filling scheduled for Jan. Since we started here (in mid-​2014), we’ve been very happy. The front-​office staff are very nice. It hasn’t been difficult to get an appointment. They open very early, so it’s easy to get in before heading to work. I like both the hygenist and the dentist (I’ve only seen Dr. Alignay). Also, unlike certain other dentists in the area that we’ve tried, Dr. Alignay takes our insurance (Kaiser) and follows it — i.e., $ 30 co-​pay for complete routine visit, including cleaning and x-​rays, if necessary (fillings, crowns, etc have their own fee schedule).

Recommended highly from a friend, but my experience did not match hers at all.
The hygienist rushed my cleaning to the point that I felt I was choking on water! I had my infant in a car seat with me, and she said she was rushing for the infants sake (who was happily sleeping).
The dentist had terrible bedside manner– delivering bad news without any warmth and never introduced himself.
So I transferred my care and it took about 5 emails/​calls to get my X-​rays released, including them having been sent to the wrong email… My dental X-​rays are in another individual’s inbox! Horrifying.
There are great dentists out there, don’t settle for this place. Issues with Front office, hygienist, and dentist… Yikes.

The dentists, hygienists and staff at this small dental office are amazing. They at nice, polite, thoughtful, professional and patient. They always make me feel welcome. They are very informative about the treatments and as gentle as can be. They are also well versed with the insurance paperwork too. I have been through many dentists and often am dissatisfied compared to my hometown dentist. The people here rival that high standard from back home! The only reason I won’t give them 5 stars is because they do not have late after-​work hours. Otherwise, I highly recommend them!
